If Kurt returns to the ring he inevitably needs to be replaced as general manager. Whilst authority figures are outdated and take up air time it is likely the WWE will replace him in this role. Therfore i'd like to know who you would choose, and who you think will likely replace him.

Personally I would like Teddy Long allthough knowing the creative team it'll be a McMahon :(

I'd go with Heyman. If Angle gets to apoint one, it'd be likely he'd apoint Heyman back to the role. If its the "office" who gets to apoint one, Steph will probably return.

Here's a novel idea..... how about no one!!!!

The evil authority thing is played, but if they have to choose someone, I'd rather they had Heyman for the job. His promos can get me interested in even the dumbest angles, and I feel he added a lot to the show during his run as GM.

Its just when Heyman talks, everyone shuts up and listens cause normally he says something very intresting. I wouldn't be surprised if Steph came back since WWE has done the evil GM now for close to a year on SD!.

I think it's safe to say that the GM thing should be killed........for good......and not like Paul Bearer killed.......

It would be fine to have an impartial GM, kinda like Stephanie, except not so annoying. I hate the heel GM who favors the heels (Bischoff, Heyman, Vince when he was SD GM, Flair post-heel turn) and the babyface GM/Trouble Shooters/Sheriffs who make the heels lives a living hell (Cough:Austin to Jericho:cough).

I like the idea of NO GM.

Have Stephanie come back and think she's the GM, but her juggs keep falling out of her top and everywhere she walks someone puts a muzzle on her mouth and leads her on to a treadmill.

Put me down as a Heyman supporter.

I think it would be different if Angle came back to the ring to get Eddie, but stayed in the GM Spot. He could start out saying that he has come back JUST for Eddie, and then maybe after it he can book himself in a WWE Title Match, only for VINCE to appear and say that active wrestlers can't be GMs, and then either:

a) give Heyman his job back

b) give it to Shane

c) have decisions go through him OFF SCREEN.

© sounds like it could work, as the announcers could just say "well, Vince McMahon has been watching and saw that _____ and _____ have been at each other's throats...and it's coming to a head tonight!"

The farthest I'd like to see them go with him being ON the screen would be to show his office door with his name on it and that's it, or to maybe have him come out for BIG announcements, but other than that...just kep him impartial and off screen.

Vince McMahon, impartial? Still though how about Foley? He was kinda decent as a fun loving sorta impartial comish.

Posted

he wasn't impartial at all... look at what he did to Edge and Christian!

sure, they tried everything they could to cheat, but that didn't make Foley any less partial when he was booking them against the Undertaker and Kane or whatever else he could figure out.

I prefer nobody, but if they want someone to do it, give it to Luther Reigns. The guy was pure gold in a similar role in OVW, and keeping him out of the ring is a good thing. He's a great talker and has an intimidating look, which would be something fresh for this role.

Let Cena be GM so they can keep him out of the ring but still let him rip on everyone in his promos. That would kill his momentum, but I think the face turn already helped start that. They need to change directions with him, so why not?

i know he's over, but i just don't see how many more things they can do w his character unless they completely switch it up or put him into the main event scene for good. I guess if he was GM you could keep him as a semi-active worker but still get good promos from him every week. i guess what im trying to say is that WWE needs to find a better way to hide his in ring weaknesses.

put the least annoying McMahon as GM.

I thought they were all equally detestable?

I myself prefer Heyman, or maybe.... PAUL BEARER!!!

Why can't we have someone like Mick Foley when he was commissoner in 2000.....I would like a GM like that.....not really favoring one group or another...he was kinda impartial as well...

Someone who can be totally impartial, play a near tweener role and has no lasting connections to members of the Smackdown roster. Someone more in the Jack Tunney, Roddy Piper or Gorilla Monsoon role.

I guess they could bring someone with name value back who's still on good terms like Superstar Billy Graham or Bobby Heenan (though it'd be hard not to have him play heel). Or there's always Arn Anderson.

I thought Ric Flair when he was President of wCw did a good job as well......he wasn't totally impartial....but he was funny as hell...

BTW ...I think he would be a good choice for President of WWE...when they have their elections this fall....hopefully he's on the ballot... LOL

Heyman, I like his current role better. As the evil manger. He plays that VERY well. I perfer Heyman as an manger or a color commentador. He was PURE GOLD at the booth for the WWE in 2001. He was 10X better then Lawler, and knew what he was talking about. I want him back at the booth.

As for GM, I'd loved to see the WWE creative team with the Coach a shot at this. He is over, and knows how to cut a good promo, and make everyone hate him. Theodore Long would be awesome also, aswell as Ric Flair.

I'd go for someone as the impartial authority. Heyman would be good but would be wasted in the role, he's far too good a heel. Long would be decent but may be a bit too comedic to get major angles over e.g. with the big title. Foley would be good because he can do almost everything - comedy, serious & impartial. Double A may have been out of the limelight too long for the casual fan to care at first. But he could definately get over given time. He's got the mic skills, the slightly menacing look which means he can't be intimidated by the heels, but may not be high-profile enough to take over given the previous GM's. Personally I think it would be better going with a name from the past therefore introducing somebody new into the mix rather than going with someone who has already filled the role.

U know, maybe they should look OUTSIDE the company like they did for the RAW GM.

Bring in someone to be the GM only.

Ventura would own it and he can't be that busy these days
