Guest bigm350 Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 Doesn't matter if its wrestling related or not. I was wondering what do you guys collect? Dvds? Action figures? Movies? Baseball or sports cards? I used to be a big collector of baseball cards when I was a kid but now just collect a bunch of wrestling junk; mostly, tapes, dvds, a few wrestling belts, shirts, etc. What do you collect?
kkktookmybabyaway Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 I used to collect sports cards, but now I guess you can say DVDs, CDs and video games, because that's what I mostly buy with my spending money...

starvenger Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 I collect comics, Transformers and I suppose DVDs. And, I suppose, online porn.
Nighthawk Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 You can't realy "collect" CDs and DVDs unless you're buying them for their own sake, and not to watch/listen to whatever's on them. That would be like saying you collect food and clothes. I collect edged weapons.
Guest Loss Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 You can't realy "collect" CDs and DVDs unless you're buying them for their own sake, and not to watch/listen to whatever's on them. I've been known to do that. If I have all but one album from a favorite artist, I'll buy it just because it annoys me if I don't have it, even if it's not something I particularly like. Call it the completist in me.
sfaJack Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 Loose change. At last count, I had over $600.
Guest T®ITEC Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 Money that has been written on. My prize in the collection is $1 that says "David is gay".
eiker_ir Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 cool movie related stuff that i display all ovr my HT and DVDs. Stuff like action figures, posters, cups, plaques, etc.

That would be like saying you collect food and clothes. I disagree because food and clothes are more "needs" than "wants." Although there are collector soda bottles/cereal boxes/etc., and I do know people that collect specific types of clothes (shoes are a good example of this, imo...)

Yeah, I think I seen somewhere where a guy who collects Nikes, has or is close to having every pair ever made.
C Dubya 04 Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 I collect bobbleheads. Right now I have over 30 of them, and am waiting for the soon to be prize of my collection to come. A Jesus (not the wrestler, the Son of God) bobblehead.
Nighthawk Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 I have about 10 pairs of shoes but that's just because I have to coordinate.
Bruiser Chong Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 I have about 10 pairs of shoes but that's just because I have to coordinate. Yeah, I'd imagine it'd be tough to coordinate shoes with a closet full of black t-shirts.
Slayer Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 Message board posts. Seriously though, in the mid-late 90's I collected all the episodes of MST. That has since passed though, and I haven't touched any of the tapes since '02 (especially with a lot of my fav episodes on DVDs) So the token answer now would be CDs (400+ and going) and DVD box sets. Also, media equipment is another hobby of mine, picked up from working at the TV station.
JJMc Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 I used to collectg wrestling tapes. Mostly old WWF TV like Superstars, Challenge, All-American. But I stopped this fall after getting busted. I've kind of started collecting old license plates. Only have about 7 or 8. I also collect old money. I have some tens and twenties from 1950, and some other stuff from the 60s and 70s. It's pretty easy, since I work at a gas station and I always have money coming and going from my hands.

Guest Fook Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 Posters. I swear I have about 20 rolled up in my closet just because there's no room on the walls to put them up.

Mik Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 Baseball cards. My Miguel Cabrera collection is worth around $3000. Miguel Cabrera Collection
Bruiser Chong Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 Thousands of dollars dedicated to a prick. How nice. Of course, I shouldn't talk, since I have quite the extensive Ken Griffey Jr. collection from my card collecting days.
Mik Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 That Cubs thing was an isolated incident. Miguel is a nice, humble kid whose head is on pretty straight for having that much talent at 21. I don't think he's Griffey level, and hopefully never will be.
