EdwardKnoxII Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 Well the other day in Clarksville it snowed 3 to 4 inches of snow. So that means we're having a white Christmas and I couldn't be happier. This is the 3rd time that there has been snow for Christmas. The first two were in my 6th and 7th grade. So, who here has had a white Christmas and are you having one this year? Merry Christmas everyone!!
Lightning Flik Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 I've never had a Christmas that wasn't white. ...considering I'm in the Great White North, its kinda hard not too. And yes, there is the white stuff on the ground right now.
Star Ocean 3 Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 It's been at least 60 degrees in the daytime. I've seen snow maybe four times.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 We got about 12-15 inches of snow and the roads suck.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 I just found out that a friend of mine has a brother who's newly addicted to crack, so he's having a white Christmas, or at least an ashy gray one.
Guest Vitamin X Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 It's fucking 82 degrees here, so no I doubt it. I've never had a white christmas in my entire life.
Bruiser Chong Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 Got tons of snow earlier in the week. Maybe I'm getting too old, but all I could think of was how annoying it is to go out and run errands when it's snowy out. Piss-poor driving conditions and wet shoes and pant legs. Ugh.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 You suck. Fuck you and your warm weather. Christmas isn't christmas unless your car is frozen to the ground.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 Got tons of snow earlier in the week. Maybe I'm getting too old, but all I could think of was how annoying it is to go out and run errands when it's snowy out. Piss-poor driving conditions and wet shoes and pant legs. Ugh. Snow used to mean Snow Days, Sledding and Snowmen... Now it's dodging idiots who can't drive...driving through 8 inches of snow...shoveling the shit out of your driveway for 2 hours just so when you got back home motherfucking nature dropped another 7 inches on your ass.
Bruiser Chong Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 Right on. It doesn't help that my mom refuses to get with the times and invest in a god damn snowblower, even though our driveway is immense. But it's all gravy this year. Some Mexican family comes by and does it for us now.
Guest T®ITEC Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 Last year was nice and caucasian, but this year it's mostly melted away. Pathetic. I miss living in a less-polluted, prettier, northern state.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 It's pretty bad here. There are lots of areas without power.
DMann2003 Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 I got all the White Christmas I can stand for a year. Muthafuckin Dayton got burried in it.
Guest SP-1 Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 We had a possibility here in Charleston but it looks like a negative as of 4:12 AM Christmas morning.
A Happy Medium Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 Amazingly...it looks the snow froma couple of days ago is going to stay in the ground well into the morning...so I will have a semi-white Christmas here in Dallas. There's been snow on Christmas day only a handful of times on records. Now, when I lived in Chicago...had a white Christmas numerous times. Anyone from Chicago remember the snowstorm of 98? It was so close to Christmas, but only a few days after.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 Northeastern and East Central Indiana is where Michigan's Lake effect snow goes to die.
Red Baron Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 Stupid Lake Erie, and the lake effect snow, though whatever we get, Buffalo gets snow five times worse..
Matt Young Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 I moved to Southern California a couple of months ago. This is my first Christmas season without snow.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 It snowed last week, but otherwise, I can still see my lawn...
the max Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 If we had a white christmas, I think everyone would know about it.
sfaJack Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 We actually got snow here in Houston yesterday. First time in 15 years, and the first recorded white Christmas in Houston history. While it's gone from the ground and most cars this morning, it's still stuck to roofs which is surprising to me.
Ace309 Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 Stupid Lake Erie, and the lake effect snow, though whatever we get, Buffalo gets snow five times worse.. Confirmed. Manhattan was supposed to get snow, but I'm not sure if they did or not.
Guest Vitamin X Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 If we had a white christmas, I think everyone would know about it. How warm is it over there by Ft. Meyers/Naples? I'm still in disbelief that South Florida (or at least Miami) is the only part of the country where we can actually go out in shorts and a tanktop for christmas. It's seriously that warm over here. It wasn't even this bad in California, where the temperatures are around the 50's right now.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 It's fucking 82 degrees here, so no I doubt it. I've never had a white christmas in my entire life. Oh, you're a happier man because of this, believe me. Good fuckin' call on the climate. Also, you people from Buffalo are nuts. When the glaciers come again, you will be the first to go.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 West Florida is lookin' pretty dreary. Sure, it's 60 degrees, but we've also got 2-3 inches of rain on the way. Wet Christmas.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 It's rainy in Jacksonville, too, but much colder: 45 degrees. Including windchill, it's 40.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 And I haven't seen snow since the winter before I moved from Tennessee, which was 20 years ago.
River City Rocker Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 Now, when I lived in Chicago...had a white Christmas numerous times. Anyone from Chicago remember the snowstorm of 98? It was so close to Christmas, but only a few days after. Yep, I remember that one. I was so glad to be on vacation that week so I really didn't have to be anywhere except in the house where it's safe. A month or so after that storm, we had another monster snowstorm. Exactly seven days later, the temperature went up to 75 degrees. I live in southwest Indiana, so hell yeah, we got a white Christmas this year. White, plus the colors of the hundreds of abandoned vehicles I keep seeing... -Ben
DerangedHermit Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 Every once in a few years, Long Island will get a White X-Mas. I believe the last one we had was in 2002, it started as rain early X-Mas morning, turned to snow 2PM X-Mas day, and 8 inches of snow at the end of the night. My sister was stuck in that hellhole Newark Liberty that night (she lives in Manhattan and was going on vacation to Ireland). Now it's just somewhat cold (at the freezing point) and we may have a dusting tomorrow. Meh.
Alro Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 I had a white Christmas, which I believe was the first one there has been in about 10 years.
