Christmas haul

Recommended Posts

Well, I figured I'd see what everybody else got, computer/console game wise, for Christmas. Games you plan to get from gift certificates count.

Myself, I asked for a lot of games since they're a nice way to relax after work. And the family responded quite well. I ended up with:

Console

The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age

Metroid Prime: Echoes

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

SOCOM II: Navy Seals (old, but a nice shooter)

Computer

Soldier of Fortune: Platinum Edition

Rome: Total War

Medieval: Total War

Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle Earth

The Elder Scrolls III Morrowind GOTY Edition (Morrowind, Bloodmoon, and Tribunal)

All in all, I should be busy from now until next Christmas.

Finally got an Xbox. (came with the two games)

NCAA Football

Topspin (which actually is a hell of a game...and I'm not a tennis fan)

A 50$ Gamestop Gift card, which with it, I bought Prince of Persia Sands of Time, since many were saying they liked it better with Warrior Within, ,I wanted to see what it was like exactly. Plan on getting in the future (no time soon) maybe when the price goes down.

And with the other 30, I plan on getting RAW 2. Which isn't that great a game, but Edit a Attire > * ;)

I got all PS2 games, some old, some new:

Lord of the Rings: Return of theKing

Lord of the Rings: The Third Age

Killzone

Manhunt

Timsplitters 2

The Suffering

Onimusha 3: Demon Siege

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy

Plus I got a $100 gift card for Best Buy, which I'll probably use to buy some games - but only after I use at least 40 bucks of it or so to buy the latest volume of Batman: The Animated Series (when it's released in January).

Well, this morning I got Fable and Halo 2 on XBox, which is quite a success in my book.

I'm probably going out tomorrow with the money I got from relatives to buy Half Life 2 and The Sims 2....I plan on staying in and playing games as much I can until my semester starts next month.

Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls (GBA)

Baten Kaitos (GC)

I'll probably pick something else up in the next few weeks with money I got from Christmas. Not sure what at this point, they I am leaning towards the 'Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap' for the Gameboy Advance.

Morrowind is a fantastic game. Ah, that brings back memories. Why, I haven't played it since... last night!

I got Everquest 2 for PC. It's not that fun, but definitely addicting. Sadly, I mean. Morrowind's a lot more interesting, but not as visually pleasing. But it's the better game.

Madden 2005

NBA Live 2005

Street Fighter Anniversary Collection

Mega Man Anniversary Collection

PS2 RF Switch

I asked for the Sonic Mega Collection for PS2, and got Mega Man instead. Despite never being a big Mega Man fan, since I usually sucked at them when I was younger, I did want to get it sometime. I'll keep it and will probably get Sonic with the $25 I got.

I would've asked for the 2K games instead, if only my opinion on EA had turned south a little earlier and their prices hadn't dropped. I couldn't resist $30 for each, especially since these are likely the last of the series I'm going to get.

I got Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, the pc game that I really wanted. Yay for me, right? Pfft.. hardly. It turns out that our Nvidia vid-card is WAY outdated. Updating it does not help, as it was made in '98. *sigh* And, sadly, I cannot afford to purchase a brand new vid card right now.

Woe is me.

Just three games:

Burnout 3: Takedown (I now cannot speak ill of EA Games, since this game is too fucking fun)

Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando (had no Up Your Arsenals, sez mother)

Madden 2005 for X-Box, thanks to my thoughtful but mistaken sis. I'll go with her to return it and grab UYA, or maybe a few DVDs.
