Shows you've been to.

Recommended Posts

I've been to a grand total of four live shows, 3 WWE and 1 WCW. I know a lot of you have been to more than that, so share your most memorable, or something. Here are the four shows I've been to, in order, taken from Cawthon's site:

WWF @ Indianapolis, IN - Market Square Arena - August 28, 1994

Duke Drose defeated Kwang

Tatanka defeated IRS in a strap match

Mabel defeated Bam Bam Bigelow via disqualification

The 1-2-3 Kid defeated Quebecar Pierre

Jeff Jarrett defeated Doink the Clown

Lex Luger defeated the Barbarian

Shawn Michaels & WWF IC Champion Diesel defeated WWF Tag Team Champions the Headshrinkers to win the titles

WWF World Champion Bret Hart & Razor Ramon defeated Owen Hart & Jim Neidhart

I also remember the Bushwhackers losing to either Well Dunn or the Heavenly Bodies, I forget which. I can't for the life of me remember there being a strap match, but it's been over ten years and I can't remember the whole thing.

WWF @ Indianapolis, IN - Market Square Arena - July 11, 1999 (11,121)

Kurt Angle defeated Sean Casey

Sunday Night Heat - shown live:

Viscera, the Big Bossman, & Mideon defeated Gangrel, Edge, & Christian after Gangrel turned on Edge and hit him with the DDT

WWF Hardcore Champion Al Snow fought Max Mini, Battalion, Tarantula, and an unknown mini to a no contest when Snow chased his opponents backstage

Test defeated Billy Gunn (w/ Chyna) via disqualification when the Mean Street Posse attacked Test; after the bout, the Rock came ringside and attacked Billy Gunn while Ken Shamrock cleared the ring

Kane pinned Bradshaw in a No Holds Barred match with the chokeslam after guest timekeeper Hardcore Holly hit Bradshaw with a chair; after the match, Kane hit a chokeslam on Holly before the Big Show came to the ring and hit a chokeslam on Kane

There was also a dark match after the show, Austin/Rock over UT/HHH. Austin pinned HHH after the Stunner.

WWE @ Indianapolis, IN - Conseco Fieldhouse - July 23, 2002

Torrie pinning Molly...WTF.

I'll try looking for the WCW one I was at, it was an episode of Thunder from '98.

October 8, Market Square Arena

The laughter was heard, and the commentators were anxious to find out what it was. Mike Tenay interviewed Scott Hall at a bar, which was 40 miles away from the Market Square Arena. Hall challenged Kevin Nash to confront him at the bar, without any other Wolfpac members involved. Hall was obviously drunk, and his eyes were almost completely shut. Nash's limousine immediately left the arena.

Kanyon defeated Prince Iaukea with the Flatliner.

Before the match, Kanyon bragged, saying no one was better than him. Prince Iaukea returned, after being kept out of action for several months, due to a knee injury. Both wrestlers put up a very physical fight. After Kanyon nailed Iaukea with the Flatliner, he took the victory.

Backstage, Chris Jericho was slamming on Goldberg's locker room door. Goldberg wasn't in there, though. It was announced Jericho would take on Goldberg later in the show.

Scott Steinter Interview - (With Buff Bagwell)

Buff Bagwell first put down the Indianapolis crowd. Bagwell continued to say Scott Steiner was not physically ready for his match with Rick Steiner at Halloween Havoc. Scott Steiner came up to the microphone, and said he had a problem with Buff Bagwell, if he couldn't keep a leash on his mother. Bagwell said to keep his mother out of it. The arguments continued, with Bagwell saying that his mother maybe right. Bagwell said he would leave it all to Scott Steiner, and then left the ring.

Meng defeated Jerry Flynn by making him submit to the Tongan Death Grip.

Meng dominated Jerry Flynn and easily finished him off with the Tongan Death Grip.

Backstage, Chris Jericho was awaiting Goldberg's arrival to the arena, along with one of his fat bodyguards, who was holding a 2x4.

Chris Adams and Wrath went to a No Contest.

As Chris Adams made his way down for his match with Wrath, Meng remained in the ring. Meng strapped Adams in the Tongan Death Grip. Wrath made his way down, and he and Meng brawled all around the ring.

Outside of the arena, The Four Horsemen were making their ways into the arena, until security guards confronted him. The security guards handed The Four Horsemen different papers, which were officials papers stating Eric Bischoff had a restraining order on the Horsemen. Apparently, Dean Malenko was the only one not served with a restraining order. Doug Dillenger said he did not know about, and J.J. Dillon seemed upset over what Bischoff had done.

Tokyo Magnum and El Dandy went to a No Contest.

The laughter was once again heard during the match. As the match went on, IWGP Heavyweight Champion Scott Norton made his way down to the ring. Norton powerbombed both Tokyo Magnum and El Dandy, and then left the ring. After returning from a commercial break, LWO (Latino World Order) members (Eddie Guerrero, Hector Garza, Damian) made their ways down to the ring. They kicked out Tokyo Magnum, and asked El Dandy to join LWO. Dandy put on the LWO T-Shirt and became a full-fledged member.

Saturn defeated Scott Putski with the Death Valley Driver.

Scott Putski did very well. However, after nailing a somewhat variation of the Juvi Driver, Saturn hit the Death Valley Driver to take the win.

The Disciple defeated Horace with the Apocalypse.

Before the match, The Disciple said he didn't need Hollywood Hogan, and would stand on his own. The Disciple said he was sick and tired of Hogan and the NWO. He challenged Horace (mentioning he was the nephew of Hogan) to a match. The match got underway. The Disciple easily finished off Horace with the Apocalypse. Afterwards, Horace was not finished, and continued to attack The Disciple.

Chris Jericho Interview - (With his Bodyguard and Tony Schiavone)

Chris Jericho first told referee Mark Curtis to get well (Curtis under-went surgery recently). He called out Goldberg. Goldberg's music played, but Goldberg never appeared. Jericho had the referee put his hand in the air, and ring the bell, as if he was actually the winner of what was not even a match.

Bret Hart Interview - (With Tony Schiavone)

Bret Hart issued a challenge for Sting, to a United States Title match that would take place at Halloween Havoc.

Dean Malenko made his way out, and sat in a chair in the middle of the ring. Malenko said he came for a match. Eric Bischoff came down with a smile on his face. The Barbarian and Jimmy Hart came out, on Bischoff's request. Bischoff said he would double Barbarian and Hart's salaries if they beat Malenko. They took the match.

Dean Malenko defeated The Barbarian (w/Jimmy Hart) by making him submit to the Texas Clover Leaf.

Eric Bischoff did commentating, taking Lee Marshall's place. Bischoff just basically ripped The Four Horsemen. After Jimmy Hart got involved several times, it costed The Barbarian. Dean Malenko finished off the match with the Texas Clover Leaf. Afterwards, Bischoff kicked Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan out of the commentating booth, and was upset that Malenko took the win.

Raven Interview.

The laughter was heard yet again. Raven complained about not being treated like others, and mentioned how much Diamond Dallas Page has it all good. DDP appeared, and ran down to the ring, setting up a one-on-one contest.

Diamond Dallas Page defeated Raven with the Diamond Cutter.

As Raven continued with the advantage, Lodi appeared on top of the canvas with a "Neilsen Wants The Flock" sign. Lodi was accidently knocked off, and made his way back. Out of no-where, Diamond Dallas Page hit Raven with the Diamond Cutter, and took the win.

Tony Schiavone announced a big Hollywood star would be at Nitro the following Monday.

Lex Luger defeated Stevie Ray (w/Vincent) by Disqualification.

After Lex Luger was set to strap Stevie Ray in the Torture Rack, Scott Hall interfered, obviously meaning it was a set-up to get Kevin Nash away from the arena. Stevie Ray and Scott Hall continued to attack Luger, and hit him with the slap jack (illegal object). Konnan came in, but was out-numbered.

October 15, Market Square Arena (taped, obviously)

Van Hammer pinned Sick Boy

Konnan defeated La Parka (Submission)

It was a very physical match between the two superstars. After Konnan nailed La Parka with a Front-Face Slam, he locked the Tequilla Surnise to take the victory.

Fit Finley pinned Riggs

Riggs put up a tough fight for Fit Finley. However, the moment Finley hit the Tombstone Piledriver, Riggs was down with a loss.

Kidman pinned Kaz Hayashi (Cruiserweight Championship)

Both superstars put up a very physical fight in a match that came very close. Once Kaz Hayashi had a huge advantage, Sonny Onoo made his way down. After Kidman hit a successful Shooting Star Press, he secured the pin, and retained the Cruiserweight Title. Afterwards, Onoo attacked a helpless Hayashi with kicks. Kidman went to the aid of Hayashi, and both shaked hands.

Ernest Miller Interview.

Ernest Miller ripped into martial arts actor, Jackie Chan. He challenged anyone to "try him." A fan from the stands ran into the ring, but was knocked right down to the mat by Miller. Security officials entered the ring, and took out the fan. Miller continued to brag about being the greatest karate champion, and then it was off to a commercial break.

Chavo Guerrero, Jr. pinned Prince Iaukea

Chucky plugged his movie in a promo. The movie -- "Bride of Chucky" opens this Friday. In the next promo, Chucky taunted Rick Steiner, and said for Rick not to mess with Scott Steiner.

Diamond Dallas Page Interview.

Diamond Dallas Page discussed his upcoming Heavyweight Title match with Goldberg at Halloween Havoc.

Dean Malenko defeated Stevie Ray (Disqualification)

After Dean Malenko had Stevie Ray hooked in the Texas Clover Leaf, Vincent interfered, which gave Malenko the win by Disqualification. Scott Norton joined the two NWO-Hollywood members, an the attack continued. All other Four Horsemen members made their ways in, causing NWO-Hollywood members to leave the area. Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, and Dean Malenko taunted Eric Bischoff, and said The Four Horsemen would run right through WCW

Best one was a house show where Eddy Guererro was about to kick a guy's ass for throwing a bottle while his daughters were in the ring. I saw the thrower, his wife and child all reduced to tears.

He waited until it was mostly empty before jumping the rail after this guy, but I waited because I knew something would happen.

I was at a SD taping during the whole Mr. America angle.

JESUS CHRIST. I've never seen anyone get a reaction like that, anywhere, ever. Well, at least not in person. I don't even LIKE Hogan that much, and I was going nuts along with everyone else in the place. Just insane.

Okay, I went to a house show at the old Arco Arena in the fall of 1987. It had a battle royal, and several matches. Slick managed Rick Rude, which pissed me off, as I wanted to see Bobby. It was weird, because at eleven years old, I didn't know that house shows were different than TV.

I think this is the show from Cawthon' site: "WWF @ Sacramento, CA - Arco Arena - October 31, 1987

Randy Savage vs. WWF IC Champion the Honkytonk Man"

I went to a house show in Kansas City in July 2000. Pretty decent show. My seat was right next to the tunnel where the wrestlers came out. Bubba Ray Dudley came out about an hour before the show started and looked around like "Here I am!" Surprisingly, not too many people came to the railing. A guy took a pic of his girlfriend and Bubba together and then Bubba went back in. A few people recognized Tony Garea, who was sitting at the timekeeper's table, and spoke to him. The guy sitting in front of me told me that he was there at Over the Edge '99 and said Owen's death was sick. He said the crowd just stopped like they thought it was a mannequin at first, and then realization sunk in.

Cawthon: "WWF @ Kansas City, MO - July 15, 2000

The Godfather defeated Gangrel

Test & Albert defeated the Acolytes

Kane defeated Bull Buchanon

WWF Tag Team Champions Edge & Christian defeated the Dudley Boyz

The Undertaker defeated Kurt Angle via count-out

WWF European Champion Eddie Guerrero defeated the Big Bossman

WWF Hardcore Champion Steve Blackman defeated Crash Holly

Matt & Jeff Hardy defeated X-Pac & Road Dogg

Chris Jericho defeated Chris Benoit via disqualification

Rikishi defeated WWF IC Champion Val Venis via disqualification."

In Fall 2000, I went to a WCW-sponsored indy house show here in Fayetteville, AR. Hilarious show. We had to wait in the rain for an hour until they let us in. The arena was the Randall-Tyson Track Center at the University of Arkansas. When we got in, we learned that the tickets were first come, first serve. I would up about fifteen rows back on the aisle. The show was ghetto. They did lame matches with the indy guys, including the "Chinese Assasins" being squashed by the Moondogs. BPP and Nash worked matches, and both were faces. Then the ME was Booker T vs. JJ. Booker T arrived about an hour into the show from a back door in the arena and people rushed him on his way to the side door into the locker rooms. BPP broke the ring when he was bouncing off the ropes. The WORST part is that Ric Flair was billed as being on the show, and he didn't show up. Needless to say, there were some pissed off people.

Also in 2000, I went to a show with about twenty-five people in the audience. They were inbred rednecks. I spent most of the show trying not to laugh. This one match had a huge fat dude in red tights with a black silk hood tied over his head. This one drunk redneck kept standing up, YELLING, like the "arena" had 10,000 people in it, "TAKE'IS MASK OFF!" Two other guys in front of me were saying stuff like "Hey, dudn't he look like little red riding hood?" The other would go "I wouldn't say 'little.'" The best part was that they claimed to be all that was left of the legendary WCCW. Their "pyrotechnics" were Christmas lights around the entrance curtains. Funny stuff.

I returned to KC in Feb. 2001, one month before X7. Terrible show. It was the one where Steph and Trish fought in a barn. I had Uecker seats, so I couldn't see or hear anything. Plus, my girlfriend complained that everyone had BO.

Now, I figure I'd rather watch wrestling from the comfort of my own home.

Tatanka pinned IRS

WWF World Champion Bret Hart pinned Owen Hart at 13:50 with a roll up in a lumberjack match; lumberjacks included: Jim Neidhart, 1-2-3 Kid, Jeff Jarrett, Billy & Bart Gunn, the Headshrinkers, the Heavenly Bodies, Kwang, Well Dunn, & Kwang; the challenger had originally won the match and title at 3:06 after Jim Neidhart interfered as Owen was caught in the Sharpshooter and clotheslined the champion - however several of the lumberjacks and other officials had the finish replayed on the big screen so the referee could see what had happened; the match was ordered to continue (Wham Bam Bodyslam)

9/3/94:

Bob Backlund defeated Bert Centeno via submission with the Crossface Chicken Wing

Owen Hart (w/ Jim Neidhart) defeated Scott Taylor

The Smoking Gunns fought the Heavenly Bodies to a no contest at the 48 second mark when the Gunns were attacked before they could get their gear off, with the Bodies briefly wearing their cowboy hats until a brawl errupted on the floor and officials had to seperate the teams

The 1-2-3 Kid defeated Roy Raymond

IRS defeated Phil Apollo

9/10/94:

Shawn Michaels & WWF IC Champion Diesel defeated Tom O'Sullivan & Nick Barberri

Jim Neidhart (w/ Owen Hart) defeated Mike Maliacia

Doink the Clown defeated the Black Phantom

Bam Bam Bigelow (w/ Ted DiBiase) fought Tony Roy to a no contest after attacking him before the bell; Dibiase then complained about the lack of competition for Bigelow and issued an open challenge for anyone to fight him; Adam Bomb then came out and he and Bigelow briefly fought, with Bomb eventually clotheslining Bigelow to the floor

WWF Tag Team Champions the Headshrinkers (w/ Afa) defeated Mike Bell & Tony Devito (aired after they lost the titles)

Yokozuna defeated Steve King

9/17/94:

The Bushwhackers defeated Well Dunn (w/ Harvey Whippleman)

Jeff Jarrett defeated Phil Apollo via submission with the figure-4

The Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer) pinned Tony DeVito with the tombstone

Kwang (w/ Harvey Whippleman) pinned Scott Taylor

Bob Holly pinned Iron Mike Sharpe with a flying bodypress

Bob Backlund defeated Tony Roy via submission with the Crossface Chicken W

All I can remember about this show was Lex Luger main evented, although I remember he was against Crush not the Fake Undertaker. But I think it's probably just my bad memory, cause I don't remember Crush being around in August of 94.

WWF @ Portland, ME - Civic Center - July 13, 1996

Justin Bradshaw pinned Bob Holly with a lariat

Skip & Zip defeated WWF Tag Team Champions the Smoking Gunns, New Rockers, and the Godwinns in a non-title elimination match

Marc Mero pinned Hunter Hearst Helmsley

Steve Austin pinned Savio Vega in a No DQ match

Owen Hart pinned Jake Roberts

Goldust defeated WWF IC Champion Ahmed Johnson via reverse decision; Ahmed pinned Goldust with a spinebuster but continued to beat him up after the match

Psycho Sid pinned Davey Boy Smith with the powerbomb

The Undertaker pinned Mankind

WWF World Champion Shawn Michaels pinned Vader with the superkick

I remember the Warrior was scheduled to face Davey Boy, but he was "attending a funeral" and nobody knew who was replacing him. The crowd went absolutely apeshit when Sid came out and squashed Davey Boy in less than a minute.

I remember going to a WCW Saturday Night taping on May 19th 1998 at the Civic Center. I remember the whole arena worked itself into a frenzy into the hopes of seeing Goldberg. Just crazy, Goldberg chants the whole night (He didn't even show up.)

# Eddie Guerrero pinned Steve Armstrong

# Chris Adams pinned Bobby Blaze

# Barbarian pinned Bobby Eaton

# Konnan made Johnny Attitude submit

# Giant pinned The Power Company

Eddie Guerrero (w/Chavo Guerrero Jr.) pinned Evan Kourageous after the Frog Splash

Marty Janetty pinned Lenny Lane after the Showstopper

Hugh Morrus (w/Jimmy Hart) pinned Barry Horowitz with the No Laughing Matter

Yuji Nagata (w/Sonny Oono) made The Cat submit to the Nagatalock

Kidman (w/The Flock) pinned Bobby Blaze after the Seven Year Itch

Saturn pinned Tough Tom (w/Mean Mike) after the Death Valley (Spicolli) Driver

Brian Adams (w/Vincent) pinned Villano IV after a backbreaker

Disco Inferno pinned Johnny Attitude after the Swinging Neckbreaker

: WCW World Cruiserweight Champion Dean Malenko made Chavo Guerrero Jr. (w/Eddie Guerrero) submit to the Texas Cloverleaf

In Match Three of the Best-Of-Seven series, Chris Benoit (2) pinned Booker T (1) with a bridging German suplex

Juventud Guerrera, Ciclope, and Super Calo defeated Damien, Silver King, and El Dandy when Guerrera pinned Damien after the JuviDriver

The Public Enemy defeated The Power Company when Johnny Grunge pinned Short-Long after putting him through a table

Road Block pinned Frankie Lancaster after a backflip splash

Jim Neidhart pinned Kendall Windham with a powerslam

Chris Adams defeated Glacier by disqualification when Saturn interfered

WCW World Television Champion Fit Finley pinned Renegade after the Tombstone

Mike Enos made Mike Tolbert submit to an armlock

Jim Duggan pinned Barry Darsow after Old Glory

Giant pinned Konnan after the Chokeslam

In retrospect, that was really good for a WCW Saturday Night taping, but all I remember at the time was being pissed Goldberg wasn't there and people actually went crazy for the NWO Black and White/Wolfpac stuff.

WWF @ Portland, ME - Civic Center - November 11, 2001

Spike Dudley defeated Sho Funaki

Brock Lesnar defeated Crash Holly

Tommy Dreamer & Steven Richards defeated Rico Constantino & Randy Orton

Ron Waterman defeated Shawn Stasiak

WCW Tag Team Champions the Dudley Boyz defeated the Acolytes

Scotty 2 Hotty & Albert defeated the Hurricane & Hugh Morrus; after the match, the Actolyes made the save when the Dudley Boyz interfered; moments thereafter, Scotty, Albert, the Acolytes, and Scotty's wife danced in the ring

WWF European Champion Christian defeated Edge

WWF Hardcore Champion Rob Van Dam defeated Raven

Probably the worst show I've seen, nothing actively bad, but it was truly a B show in all senses of the word. I did get to see a pre TV debut, Brock Lesnar and the tag team match between Scotty and Albert Vs the Huricane and Hugh Morrus was a genuinely entertaining comedy match. The main event though was literally less than five minutes.

WWE (Smackdown!) @ Portland, ME - July 1, 2002

Sho Funaki pinned Rico by avoiding a spin kick and using a roll up

Lance Storm & Christian defeated John Cena & Steve Bradley when Storm pinned Bradley with the superkick

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Jamie Knoble pinned the Hurricane as the challenger attempted a suplex into the ring, Nidia swept his feet out from under him and held the leg down during the cover

WWE Tag Team Champions Billy Gunn & Chuck Palumbo defeated Val Venis & Hardcore Holly when Gunn pinned Holly with a roll up after a Jungle Kick from Palumbo

Billy Kidman & Rey Mysterio Jr. defeated Chavo Guerrero Jr. & Tajiri after Kidman vaulted Rey into the air and Mysterio hit a Frankensteiner off the top on Chavo

D-Von Dudley, Batista, & Albert defeated Hugh Morrus, Rob Conway, & Mark Henry when D-Von pinned Conway

Torrie Wilson defeated Stacy Keibler in a Bra & Panties match

Edge pinned Kurt Angle, despite outside interference from Billy Gunn, Chuck Palumbo, and Rico; after the match, Edge, Val Venis, Hardcore Holly, Rikishi, and Scotty 2 Hotty held off Gunn, Palumbo, Rico, Christian, Lance Storm, and Test

Another B show, but at least it was more entertaining than the other one. Plus it featured Rey Mysterio before he debuted on TV for the WWE.

I was at the RAW where Mick Foley first won the title with the help of Steve Austin, I was at the RAW after Kurt Angle won the KOTR. I was at Wrestlemania 14 (Austin/HBK). I went to the Slamboree when Malenko won the battle royal dressed in a lucha costume and then beat Jericho. I've been to numerous other shows but those are the ones that stand out. My favorite one was probably Foley's first title win. The place went absolutely nuts. It was an awesome show.

WWF @ Ottawa, Ontario - Corel Centre - October 15, 2001

Crash Holly defeated Steven Richards

Perry Saturn pinned Chuck Palumbo with the spinning fisherman's suplex

Albert pinned Tommy Dreamer with the Baldo Bomb

Jakked:

Sho Funaki & Taka Michinoku defeated Raven (w/ Terri) & Justin Credible when Taka pinned Raven with a roll up after Raven collided with Terri on the ring apron

Mike Awesome pinned Scotty 2 Hotty with a powerslam as Scotty came off the top

WCW Tag Team Champions Matt & Jeff Hardy defeated Kanyon & Hugh Morrus when Jeff pinned Kanyon with the Swanton

Test pinned Billy Gunn with the boot to the face as Gunn attempted the Fameasser

Raw is War - included Edge informing Christian backstage that the police called and said that their mother had been in an accident; as the two prepared to leave the building, they were met by Kanyon, Chuck Palumbo, and Hugh Morrus of the Alliance; while Edge argued with them, Christian attacked his brother from behind, officially joining the Alliance and showing that the whole scenario was a setup:

WWF Tag Team Champions the Dudley Boyz (w/ Stacy Keibler) defeated the Big Show in a non-title handicap match when D-Von scored the pin after Bubba used one of the title belts as a weapon

The Acolytes & Jackie defeated the Hurricane, Lance Storm, & Molly Holly (w/ Ivory) when Bradshaw pinned the Hurricane with the Clothesline from Hell

WWF Hardcore Champion Rob Van Dam defeated WCW World Champion the Rock via disqualification when Chris Jericho crotched RVD on the top rope as the challenger attempted the Five Star Frog Splash; after the match, RVD and Rhyno double team the Rock as Jericho returns to the announce table

WCW Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman pinned Tazz in a non-title match with a roll up after a modified face buster

Chris Jericho defeated WCW US Champion Rhyno via disqualification in a non-title match when Mike Awesome, Raven, and Stephanie McMahon interfered as Jericho had the Walls of Jericho applied; after the match, the Rock cleared the ring of the Alliance members and hit the Rock Bottom on Jericho

Edge pinned WWF Light Heavyweight Champion X-Pac in a non-title match at 4:24 by avoiding the X-Factor and hitting the DDT; immediately after the match, Jim Ross privately alerted Edge that his mother had been in an accident - which turned out to be a ruse by Christian as he and a host of Alliance members attacked Edge backstage

WWF World Champion Steve Austin & Booker T defeated Kurt Angle & the Undertaker at 11:00 when Austin pinned Angle after Rob Van Dam interfered and hit the Five Star Frog Splash on Angle; in the latter moments of the match, both Kane and Test interfered - with both men along with Taker and Booker eventually battling into the crowd; prior to coming off the top, RVD hesitated regarding who to drop the Five Star Frog Splash on, Angle or Austin

The reactions to RVD and Rock/Jericho were the big highlights. Fun show.

WWF @ Ottawa, Ontario - Corel Centre - March 19, 2002

Scotty 2 Hotty & Albert defeated Justin Credible & Billy Kidman

Tommy Dreamer defeated Randy Orton

Sunday Night Heat:

Val Venis defeated Lance Storm

The Big Show & Kane defeated the Dudley Boyz

Rikishi defeated Goldust

WWF IC Champion Rob Van Dam pinned Mr. Perfect with the Five Star Frog Splash

Smackdown!:

Booker T defeated Edge

Lita & Trish Stratus defeated WWF Women's Champion Jazz & Ivory

William Regal defeated WWF European Champion Diamond Dallas Page to win the title via KO by applying the Regal Stretch after hitting the champion with brass knuckles after DDP became distracted by Christian at ringside

Test defeated WWF Cruiserweight Champion Tajiri in a non-title match

The Hurricane fought Molly Holly to a no contest when Brock Lesnar interfered and attacked both participants

WWF Tag Team Champions Billy Gunn & Chuck Palumbo defeated Matt & Jeff Hardy

The Rock defeated Kevin Nash via disqualification

Yep, I saw THAT main event. This also had X-Pac running in after the match to join the nWo.

WWE (Smackdown!) @ Ottawa, Ontario – Corel Centre – July 13, 2002

Albert pinned John Cena with the Baldo Bomb

Batista pinned Randy Orton with the Roll of the Dice

Billy Gunn, Chuck Palumbo, & Rico defeated Shannon Moore, Mark Henry, & Hugh Morrus when Palumbo pinned Moore

Lance Storm & Christian defeated Val Venis & Hardcore Holly when Storm pinned Val with the superkick

Test pinned Rikishi at around the 5-minute mark after busting Rikishi open early in the contest

Torrie Wilson defeated Dawn Marie (sub. for Stacy Keibler) in a Bra & Panties match

Edge pinned Kurt Angle

Note the second match. :) Main event was fun. This was one of Rey Mysterio's first matches before going onto TV. Rikishi's bladejob was fun.

WWE (Smackdown!) @ Ottawa, Ontario - Corel Centre - November 3, 2003 (1,600)

Torrie Wilson won a tiny teddy contest over Sable and Dawn Marie; Edge was the guest MC for the event

Orlando Jordan pinned Horshu with a neckbreaker

Johnny Stamboli & Nunzio defeated Spanky & Paul London when Spanky was pinned

Rhyno pinned Jamie Knoble with the Gore

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Tajiri pinned Billy Kidman with the kick to the head

Bradshaw pinned Chuck Palumbo with the Clothesline from Hell

WWE Smackdown! Tag Team Champions Doug & Danny Basham defeated Scotty 2 Hotty & Rikishi and Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas when Haas was pinned with a double team move after Shaniqua interfered and hit the challenger with her whip

Rey Mysterio Jr. pinned John Cena by reversing an attempt at the FU into a roll up

The Undertaker, Kurt Angle, & Chris Benoit defeated WWE Smackdown! World Champion Brock Lesnar, WWE US Champion the Big Show, & Albert when Taker pinned Lesnar with the chokeslam

Horshu, of course, is Luther Reigns. Rhyno was really over. Benoit was really over in the main event too. Weak point was Lesnar being booked like a chickenshit whenever Undertaker was after him.

Let's see, I live in Omaha, NE so:

I've been to a Raw in 1997 and one in 1998...when I have more time I will check that site to get the specifics...the Raw in 1998 was about a week, maybe two weeks prior to Summerslam that year...the Raw in 1997 featured an IC title change and I can't remember if it was Rocky Miavia losing to Owen Hart or the other way around...

In 1996, i went to In Your House: Good Friends, Better Enemies...horrible show but it featured the pretty damn good HBK vs. Diesel street fight for the Title...the one where Diesel jacknifes him through a table and tries to use Mad Dog Vachon's fake leg on him...

I went to several house shows when i was younger and non-smarky, mid to late 80s...Hulk Hogan vs. Killer Khan sticks out in my mind...oh and getting yelled at directly by Iron Mike Sharp after I flipped him off!

Guest Trivia247

My Memory is hazy but I went to three shows..

two in 86...

One during the Orindorf Hogan feud, they had the Cage match at the end where both men dropped at the same time..

But the big event I went too was I was at the Jim Crockett Cup Tournament in Baltimore in 87.

I've been to two. One WWF House Show and a WCW PPV.

WWF @ Cincinnati, OH - November 18, 1998

Kurrgan and Golga defeated Brian Christopher & Scott Taylor

Christian & WWF Women's Champion Sable defeated Marc Mero & Jackie

Steven Regal pinned Scorpio

Val Venis pinned Goldust with a roll up

Edge and Gangrel defeated the DOA

WWF IC Champion Ken Shamrock defeated Mankind in a falls count anywhere match

Jeff Jarrett pinned Al Snow after Debra distracted Snow

Steve Blackman defeated the Blue Blazer (this did not appear to be either Owen Hart or Dan Severn)

WWF Tag Team Champions New Age Outlaws defeated D-Lo Brown & Mark Henry

WWF Champion The Rock defeated Kane in a cage match; Big Bossman was the guest referee

The WCW PPV was Sin, I think. Was a while ago. I'm pretty sure it was Chris Benoit's last PPV.

Not too many. Sometimes I can't get up to go for a show if it is in a down period, and I have missed out on several in Ottawa due to midterms being at the same time (in at least one case the next morning).

WWF @ Toronto, Ontario - Maple Leaf Garden - April 23, 1989

Dino Bravo pinned Hercules by holding onto the ropes for leverage as Herc attempted a sunset flip into the ring

Greg Valentine defeated the Blue Blazer

Hillbilly Jim defeated the Honkytonk Man via disqualification

Mr. Perfect fought Bret Hart to a 20-minute time-limit draw

Paul Roma defeated Boris Zhukov

The Bushwhackers defeated Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard when, after a miscommunication, Arn actually pinned Tully and the referee called for the bell

Jake Roberts defeated Ted Dibiase via disqualification after a chair shot

Randy Savage defeated WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan via count-out

Martel also beat Santana in the opener, but that's not mentioned here. And there was a WWF Tag Title match (Demos/Rougeaus, won by Demolition) in between the WWF Title match and the main event (Roberts/Dibiase). Also, I seem to remember Hogan winning clean this time, but I may be wrong on that, I was more concerned with Bret/Perfect & Roberts/Dibiase at the time. The rest is accurate, including the awful Brainbusters pinning each other finish.

WWF @ Oshawa, Ontario - December 1989

? defeated Paul Roma

Bret Hart defeated Bad News Brown

The Bushwhackers defeated Nikolai Volkoff & Boris Zhukov

Akeem defeated Hercules

Jimmy Snuka pinned the Honky Tonk Man

Rick Martel defeated Brutus Beefcake

Dusty Rhodes defeated the Big Bossman in a steel cage match

Not a great show on paper to say the least. It was funny seeing Roma lose to a jobber though.

WWF @ Toronto, Ontario - Maple Leaf Gardens - November 25, 1990 (matinee)

Ted Dibiase pinned Dusty Rhodes after Virgil interfered

Dino Bravo pinned Shane Douglas with the side suplex

Tugboat pinned Boris Zhukov

Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty defeated Paul Roma & Hercules via disqualification when Hercules hit Michaels with the chain

The Big Bossman pinned the Barbarian with a sunset flip at 11:16; after the bout, the Bossman was double teamed by Haku and the Barbarian (SuperTape 4)

Demolition defeated the Bushwhackers when Smash pinned Butch

Kerry Von Erich pinned Mr. Perfect with an inside cradle; Roddy Piper was the guest referee for the bout

Saba Simba defeated Paul Diamond via forfeit

Earthquake defeated Hulk Hogan via count-out

Another screwed up Toronto card. First, Simba beat Martel via forfeit when he didn't show/make his flight/whatever, not Diamond. The Rockers/Power&Glory match didn't happen, I never saw the Rockers live in my entire life. It was Harts/Rythm&Blues. The rest is accurate. Main event was Perfect/Von Erich were Perfect won the IC Title but Piper screwed him over, and Earthquake did beat Hogan.

WWF @ Oshawa, Ontario - February 1991

Jimmy Snuka defeated Demolition Smash

The Undertaker defeated Tugboat

WWF Tag Team Champions the Hart Foundation defeated Paul Roma & Hercules

Jake Roberts defeated Rick Martel

WWF World Champion Sgt. Slaughter defeated the Ultimate Warrior

Advertised main event was Savage/Slaughter with Slaughter giving him the WWF Title shot that he promised him at Royal Rumble. But Savage broke his wrist leaving us with a mystery opponent, which ended up being Warrior who went nuts and lost by DQ.

WWF @ Toronto, Ontario - Maple Leaf Gardens - February 20, 1994

Sparky Plugg defeated Rick Martel

WWF Women's Champion Alundra Blayze defeated Heidi Lee Morgan

WWF IC Champion Razor Ramon defeated IRS in a ladder match

Owen Hart defeated Richard Charland (sub. for the 1-2-3 Kid)

WWF Tag Team Champions the Quebecars defeated the Smoking Gunns

Jeff Jarrett defeated Bob Backlund

Bret Hart defeated Shawn Michaels

Lex Luger & Randy Savage defeated WWF World Champion Yokozuna & Crush

Last time I have ever been to Maple Leaf Gardens, and a pretty good show. I was a huge Jeff Jarrett mark at the time so I was happy to see him. Only time I've ever seen a ladder match live.

WWF @ Oshawa, Ontario - December 5, 1995 (2,200)

Fatu, Barry Horowitz, & Hakushi defeated Kama, Isaac Yankem DDS, & Skip

Ahmed Johnson defeated Rad Radford

The 1-2-3 Kid defeated Marty Jannetty

Hunter Hearst Helmsley defeated Henry Godwinn in a slop bucket match

Goldust defeated Bob Holly

Savio Vega defeated Bob Backlund

WWF IC Champion Razor Ramon defeated Psycho Sid

WWF Tag Team Champions the Smoking Gunns defeated Owen Hart & Yokozuna

Diesel defeated Davey Boy Smith

WWF World Champion Bret Hart defeated the Undertaker via disqualification

Orginally it was supposed to be Ramon/Douglas, but he was on the outs at this point. The ending was a big brawl with Camp Cornette running in to beat up Bret and Diesel running in to beat up Taker. Shawn was supposed to be here fighting Goldust and causing the homophobes in the crowd to explode at the site of those two in the ring, but he was busy selling his collapse on RAW. Dibiase was here which was nice. He even did the ol' stuff the $100 bill down Razor's throat bit.

WWF @ Ottawa, Ontario - Corel Center - March 4, 2000

Too Cool defeated the Headbangers

D-Lo Brown defeated Mideon

Test defeated the Big Bossman in a flag match

Matt & Jeff Hardy defeated Perry Saturn & Dean Malenko

WWF Intercontinental & European Champion Kurt Angle defeated Chris Jericho

Albert defeated WWF Hardcore Champion Crash Holly in a non-title match

WWF Tag Team Champions the Dudley Boyz defeated Edge & Christian

The Big Show defeated Rikishi

The Rock & Kane defeated WWF World Champion Triple H & Road Dogg

My favourite show that I've attended live, it was just a fun time all around. The best part was that when I bought tickets in January I had no dream of seeing my two favourite wrestlers at the time (Malenko & Benoit), but then the walkout occurred right after and I got to see them here. A couple of errors with the site. Benoit was in the IC Title Match, which was a warmup to the Wrestlemania 2000 match. It was actually better as it was given more time and didn't have the two fall gimmick dragging it down. Albert/Crash was confusing as it was announced as being a Hardcore Title match, and after Albert won he was given the belt only to have Crash steal it again. Yet it was played as a straight match, and it was advertised as non-title. I think Chimel just screwed up. Trip jobbed clean to the People's Elbow in the main event and Tori got tombstoned. X-Pac got caught with drugs at the border (or he got the flu or something, I forget) and missed the show. Boo hoo...

WWF @ Ottawa, Ontario - Corel Centre - March 19, 2002

Scotty 2 Hotty & Albert defeated Justin Credible & Billy Kidman

Tommy Dreamer defeated Randy Orton

Sunday Night Heat:

Val Venis defeated Lance Storm

The Big Show & Kane defeated the Dudley Boyz

Rikishi defeated Goldust

WWF IC Champion Rob Van Dam pinned Mr. Perfect with the Five Star Frog Splash

Smackdown!:

Booker T defeated Edge

Lita & Trish Stratus defeated WWF Women's Champion Jazz & Ivory

William Regal defeated WWF European Champion Diamond Dallas Page to win the title via KO by applying the Regal Stretch after hitting the champion with brass knuckles after DDP became distracted by Christian at ringside

Test defeated WWF Cruiserweight Champion Tajiri in a non-title match

The Hurricane fought Molly Holly to a no contest when Brock Lesnar interfered and attacked both participants

WWF Tag Team Champions Billy Gunn & Chuck Palumbo defeated Matt & Jeff Hardy

The Rock defeated Kevin Nash via disqualification

Already talked about earlier, but I will add that thinking back and seeing Orton job clean to Tommy Dreamer is pretty funny. I was hoping for Benoit to return, and got X-Suck.

WWE (Raw) @ Oshawa, Ontario - Civic Auditorium - May 2, 2003

The Dudley Boyz defeated Rosey & Jamal following the 3D on Jamal

Rodney Mack pinned Tommy Dreamer (sub. for Jeff Hardy) with the running powerslam after Teddy Long interfered

Sylvian Grenier & Rene Dupree defeated the Hurricane & Maven following a double team flapjack on Maven

WWE Women’s Champion Jazz defeated Trish Stratus, Victoria, and Jackie by pinning Jackie

Christian pinned Spike Dudley with the Unprettier

WWE Raw Tag Team Champions Rob Van Dam & Kane defeated Lance Storm & Chief Morley after the 18-minute mark following the Five Star Frog Splash on Morley

Steven Richards pinned Rico with a double arm DDT

Test pinned Scott Steiner in a Canada vs. USA match

Just look at the card. RAW was terrible at the time, but they could have at least put Jericho on.

Ahh, well, I know it was Benoit's last PPV with WCW. If not Sin, then it may have been Greed.

They did a show in Ottawa around that time, too, which I missed because I was moving that weekend, but it was the (at the time) infamous show headlined by HHH and Nash that saw Nash get booed out of the building.

OK, this may take a while . . . .

I'm not gonna list the numerous indy shows and three or four Smoky Mountain Wrestling shows I went to during high school (graduated in '94) - SMW used to come to the high school I went to about every four months or so. Needless to say, I'm an SMW mark for life!

OK . . first house show was Bluefield, WV - WCW in October '92 with a main event of Ron Simmons vs. Rick Rude for the WCW title. Pretty cool show, especially since it was my first "major league" show.

Next, I went to Fall Brawl '94 in Roanoke, VA - sat six rows back from the double rings, on side facing the steady camera. My first PPV! Good show - Steamboat's last appearance in a ring for a LONG time - forfeits the title to Austin, who turns around and loses it to Duggan. Decent WarGames, I guess, but no blood.

It was over a year before I got to go to my next show, a Nitro taping in Salem, VA, the night after the first World War 3 in '95. We sat front row, it was awesome, even for WCW. First time I'd seen Hogan and Savage in person. No matches were outstanding (DDP/Badd was OK), but it was just a good experience overall.

Fall Brawl '96 from Winston-Salem was next, sat on the second row ringside, at the ring closest to the entrance, on the side with the stationery cam. The heat for the NWO was unreal, probably one of the loudest crowds I'd heard to that point. Fun show to go to.

Nitro in Roanoke - 3/31/97 was next, in what had to be one of the worst shows I've ever been to. Sat near the top of the arena, and sat through such wonderful stuff as Luger/Giant vs. Rick Fuller/Roadblock, Dallas Page vs. Lance Ringo, and the Steiners vs. "Danger Danger" High Voltage. One highlight was a Jericho/Regal match, and Benoit vs. Hugh Morrus.

Fall Brawl '97, again in Winston-Salem, was my next show. Good show, especially with the Guerrero/Jericho CW title match. Sat in the back of the floor, opposite of the entrance. Hard to see, but we still had fun.

Next, I went to a RAW taping in Roanoke in late Nov. '97. If anyone remembers, this was the show where Austin drives his truck into the back of the arena during Rock's match, stands on top of the truck/bed and drinks beers. I can be seen through his truck window as he's getting out, I think it's even on one of his career-retro DVD's or videos. Good times, good times.

Went to Nitro in Winston-Salem, NC on 3/9/98, with a main event of Sting/Savage/Giant vs. Hogan/Hall/Nash. Bleh show, nothing of note happened. Sat on the very upper row, top deck (next to the ceiling, yes LOL).

Next, was a trip to Greensboro for Unforgiven '98, a week after our Nitro trip to NC. We sat at the back of the floor, directly next to the entrance. When Vince comes out (when he cuts his promo about Austin) - I yell at him "You're the man" - he looked right at me and smirked and said "Thanks" - I marked out like a madman, it was pretty damned awesome.

It was quite a while before my next show, but it was well worth it. Feb. 6th, 99. Concord, NC - an ECW house show. It was the most insane thing I'd ever been to in my life. I think the fire marshall could've shut the place down, there were more people jammed into a little rec-center gym than I'd ever seen before. Highlight of this show was Taz breaking Sabu's jaw with a brutal clothesline that was replayed on many of the ECW TV shows in the next several weeks. Awesome stuff.

Then, two WWF shows, on two nights in June '99 - King of the Ring in Greensboro, and RAW the night after in Charlotte. KOTR was horrible. Period. The Rock/UT title match was mildly entertaining, everything else was just terrible. Sat near the top, upper level, and it was probably a good thing we couldn't see much, because I'd probably have been even more irritated at how bad it was. RAW the next night was a different story. Sat a little lower down in the arena in Charlotte, and got to see Austin win the title from UT to one of the loudest pops I've ever heard. My first WWF title change LIVE! Cool enough.

Went to Unforgiven '99 in Charlotte - good show, with the six-pack challenge, and Jericho/X-Pac. Sat right next to the stationery cam, so we had a really good view. One of the better shows I'd been to.

Got married in July 2000, and as a gift to me, my wife got us tickets to SummerSlam 2000 in Raleigh (we'd moved to Myrtle Beach right after the wedding for my wife's new job). We had nosebleed seats, but it's still probably the best show I've ever been to (except for the ECW show, which is just a completely different experience). TLC was awesome live, and so was Shane's insane bump off the entrance.

Smackdown taping in Charleston, SC was next - Feb. '01. Big Show vs. Rock was the Main Event. Sat next to the ramp, so needless to say it was awesome. Good show, even as slowly paced as a Smackdown taping can be.

WCW House Show March '01 from Johnson City, TN was next (we were back up here visiting family, and a DJ friend got us free tickets). Pitiful show, Smoky Mountain drew more fans than WCW did here that night. I think the main event was DDP/Dustin vs. Steiner/Jarrett. At least I can say I went to one of the last WCW shows, but thank God it was free.

Went to a WWF house show in Bristol, TN next the weekend of Survivor Series '01(wife's job had moved us back to Tennessee). Good for a house show, again, free tickets from the good radio-station DJ friend. Main event was RVD/Raven for the Hardcore title, and Edge vs. Test. Cool thing about this show was the OVW Exhibition match that was the curtain-jerker, with Crash, Randy Orton & Ron Waterman vs. Billy Kidman, Tommy Dreamer & Rico Constantino. Good show.

Didn't go to any shows in '02 at all, but got free tics again to a Smackdown house show in Johnson City, TN - May '03, the night after Judgment Day. Main event was Lesnar/Mysterio vs. Big Show/Cena. Good show, the free tics were front row ringside. Hella good fun.

Finally, the second week of December 2004 - on Monday, 12/6, went to a Smackdown house show in Johnson City. Free tics again, this time next to the entrance to the arena. Pretty good for a house show. Headlined by JBL/Booker/Eddie triple threat and UT/Heidenreich.

Then, my wife and I, and a couple that she works with went to Atlanta the next weekend. While my wife and her friend went to the Nutcracker in downtown Atlanta, her friend's husband and I went to Armageddon '04. OK show, more fun in person that it was watching it on DVD a couple of weeks ago. Cool thing about this show was staying at the Holiday Inn across the parking lot for the weekend. No standing in line waiting to get it, and after the show, no waiting in traffic. Just a 5 minute walk each way. Very cool, especially after a few beers at the arena.

Next stop? I hope it's SummerSlam in DC this August. I'm trying like hell to talk her into a weekend there with the couple we went to Atlanta with, but we'll see how that goes. And please, God, let them hold a WrestleMania somewhere remotely close to here soon . . . that would be the pinnacle of my wrestling experience.

There you have it, my complete history of attendance at WCW/WWE/ECW shows. And my longest post ever. I'm sure you're bored all to hell by now, but it was good memories trying to remember all this info, with a little help from results boards for the earlier shows.

Now . . . time for a beer.

<<The WCW PPV was Sin, I think. Was a while ago. I'm pretty sure it was Chris Benoit's last PPV.>>

Benoit had been gone a year when Sin aired.

Ahh, well, I know it was Benoit's last PPV with WCW. If not Sin, then it may have been Greed.

WCW Souled Out 2000.

I can only remember going to 5 shows total, 3 WWF/WWE and 2 NWA/WCW.

The only one I can find on Cawthon's site is:

WWF @ Boston, MA - Boston Garden - November 9, 1985

Jim Neidhart pinned Tony Garea

Bret Hart pinned Lanny Poffo

Cpl. Kirchner defeated Rene Goulet

WWF Tag Team Champions Brutus Beefcake & Greg Valentine defeated Mike Rotundo & Dan Spivey when Beefcake pinned Spivey after reversing a roll up (Best of the WWF Vol. 10)

Bob Orton Jr. defeated Pedro Morales

Davey Boy Smith & the Dynamite Kid defeated Moondog Spot & Barry O when Dynamite pinned Spot with a crossbody

Randy Savage defeated Tony Atlas

Terry Funk defeated the Junkyard Dog

Don Muraco defeated Ricky Steamboat via disqualification

The other WWF/WWE shows were on in Manchester, NH, at the JFK Coliseum. The only people I remember from that show are SD Jones and Fabulous Moolah (defending her belt!). The other one was more recent, it was that horrible Smackdown taping in Boston where Austin shot Hall & Nash with the net-gun.

The NWA/WCW shows were one at the Centrum, and the only people I remember for that show were Sting, Vader, and Bagwell (the girl that I was dating at the time LOVED Bagwell, and that's the reason we were there). The other one was an oldschool show at the Boston Garden, and there were a ton of stars there. The match I most remembr is the Road Warriors-Midnite X-press. (I got into a shouting match with Cornette & Big Bubba ... damn, I was such a mark back then)

Congratulations, you attended WCW's last house show ever.

Seeing how you're probably from the Cincy area. I think you're talking about Souled Out 2000. Since Greed was in March of 2001, WAY after Benoit left.

Edit: Damn got beaten to the punch

Yokozuna pinned Jim Duggan with the Bonzai Drop after Mr. Fuji prevented Duggan from hitting the running clothesline

Bam Bam Bigelow pinned Kamala with a roll up as Kamala argued with the referee

Mr. Perfect fought WWF IC Champion Shawn Michaels to a 20-minute time limit draw; Michaels had almost pinned Perfect earlier after hitting him with the IC belt but the Smoking Gunns and Jim Powers rushed in the ring and told the referee what had happened - so the match continued; Michaels was in the Perfect Plex when the bell rang

Bob Backlund pinned Blake Beverly with a roll over

Bret Hart defeated Lex Luger via disqualification when Razor Ramon interfered as Hart had Luger in the Sharpshooter; after the bout, Luger accidentally hit Razor with the running forearm - knocking Razor out cold

So I got to see the WWF debuts of Billy and Bart along with a kick ass IC title match.

The Smoking Gunns defeated Afa & Samu

Bastion Booger pinned Bob Backlund with the sit-down splash

WWF IC Champion Shawn Michaels pinned Mr. Perfect with the superkick after Diesel distracted Perfect

HBK / Perfect wasn't as good as their previous meeting. From what I was watching at the time, Shawn wasn't picking up a lot of wins with the superkick so to see Perfect pinned with it shocked me.

My next wrestling show was Nitro from Phoenix, October 99, the day after Halloween Havoc. Benoit vs. Malenko in a last man standing match, the first round of the world title tournament, and Bret Hart over Goldberg.

Steven Richards pinned Tommy Dreamer by avoiding the DVD and hitting the Steven Kick

Booker T & Goldust defeated the Big Show & X-Pac when Booker pinned X-Pac with the Book End

WWE World Champion the Undertaker pinned Hulk Hogan with the chokeslam after a chair shot

A memorable show if only to see Flair and Hogan on the same card. RVD / Eddie was advertised as a ladder match but it was made a singles match with no explanation given. MSG the next night got the ladder match instead.

My birthday was the 4th and I had the option of going to either this or to the SD taping the night before in Richmond (Brock / Hogan). I'm guessing I made a bad choice. Although, we did get a lengthy post-show brawl between Flair and HHH which was very cool - especially since Flair won.

My very first show was WrestleMania 2000 in Anaheim, CA. I popped for everything and everyone, that's how happy I was. Great show IMO, even if the general smark community thinks otherwise. 3-way ladder match and Euro-Continental match where the absolute highlights.

My second show ever was next night's RAW show at the Staples Center in LA. Not that memorable of a show, really. D-Lo Brown wrestled in the dark match. Benoit defended his newly-won IC Title against Tazz. Crash won the Harcore belt against Bob Holly. Eddie Guerrero beat Jericho for the Euro Belt, thanks to Chyna (I saw the turn coming MILES away). The Rock beat Shane in the ME, and we got treated to a good 10-15 mins. of Rock on the mic and beating on Shane some more. Good sendoff.

My next show was WrestleMania X-8 at the Reliant Astrodome in Houston, TX. Greatest show in the history of mankind. I could have died happy right after that event.

Smackdown House show at the Target Center in Florida around August 2003 was my next show. Highlights included Eddie beating Cena in the opener, Rey beating Ultimo Dragon in an all-too-short CW match, WGTT beating the APA, and Taker with Kurt Angle beating Big Show and Brock Lesnar in the ME.

My last show was WrestleMania XX at MSG last year. Another unforgettable night for me. Finally got to see Shawn Michaels wrestle live in one of the best matches I've ever seen. Even though he was (still is) my favorite I was rooting for Benoit all the way. Tremendous Foley/Rock vs Evolution match, you could literally see Flair smiling the whole time. Jericho vs Christian was great, and of course, Eddie vs Kurt was splendid.

If everything turns out right, I plan on attending Royal Rumble 2006 in Miami next.
