tominator89 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 If the WWE has Batista lose at Wrestlemania or even have the match end in DQ, they absolutely kill his character. They are now on a one lane road that MUST end with Batista winning or his character is just over and done with. There would be no way to repair the damage if he does not win the belt. I completely agree with this. They have a real chance to make Batista into a major star here. But, as stated, it all rests upon the outcome of the Wrestlemania match. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 Chris Masters is like Orton's twin brother doing a lame Rick "The Model" Martel gimmick. Just get him a spray bottle and he's good to go. At first I thought it was a bulked up Rene Dupree to be honest.
haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 I haven't marked out like that in a LONG time. I want SO badly to hope for this to work, but I just have this feeling somehow, someway, WWE is going to fuck this up. BIG DAVE has to win the title now. Maybe when he wins, Shopzone will stock a limited supply of the Official WWE BIG DAVE Pimp Suit?

UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 Will HHH really drop the title in the main event two years in a row at Mania? NO ONE has ever done that. Actually, Yoko did. But few remember that.
Styles 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 Well, if Mania is traditionally when the heel drops the title, and HHH insists on always being the heel with the title, I'd say, yeah it will happen more often then that...
Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 Will HHH really drop the title in the main event two years in a row at Mania? Of course he will. What better way to take a lot of internal heat off himself, as well as give himself political capital to ensure fewer jobs in the future.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted February 22, 2005 I would assume they're going to end the show with this, rather than JBL/Cena, right? The stipulation for the Royal Rumble WAS for the main event; they will honor that stipulation. Esp. considering it has 3-4 months of slow burned build and Cena/JBL just started a week ago. Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 Next Monday we will probably get an explaination from Batista saying he always was set on nailing HHH since the Elimination chamber and that the SD crap never changed his mind

I also have a strong feeling we'll only see one title change, as to not take away the thunder of the other. So they can have Cena get a cheap loss in the middle of the show and let Batista shine at the end. Then save Cena's title win for a Smackdown show that needs it... Eclipse 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 Awesome finish to RAW tonight with the thumbs down. I seriously burst out laughing during Chris Master's debut. The match SUCKED. THE ENTRANCE HE MADE was more entertaining than the match itself.
Guest bigm350 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 While it would be better for Cena to beat JBL at WM, I wouldn't at all be surprised if JBL wins at WM, with Cena winning at maybe Judgment Day or whatever.
MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 Hmmmm . . . so next week, HHH recruits Mr. Masters and has him challenge Batista to a Full Nelson Showdown in the main event slot only to see HHH pedigree Batista 3 times while Flair hits the ropes and struts as we go off the air. Batista is going over at WM, and so is JBL. I wouldn't be shocked to see JBL hold the title until SummerSlam. I know that no one wants to hear that, but I've got a feeling about that. MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 Eh, they've ridden the JBL train (or limo) for this long, they may as well let him go a full year as WWE Champion just for the hell of it. That seems to be the logic for most of the angles on Smackdown anyway . . . just for the hell of it.

cbacon 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 LT or Bam Bam didn't win the Royal Rumble for XI Sid or Undertaker didn't for XIII Austin or Rock didn't for XV Yeah, but WrestleMania XIII and XV were based on technicalities (Austin was DQ'd for cheating and Vince withdrew his shot). The only reason Shawn didn't headline was because of the 'celebrity' factor that was Bam Bam/LT
Styles 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 Hmmm...Summerslam is in DC (thus I will hopefully be going). My friend and I were assuming Batista will still be champ (come on, he's got to be, in his hometown) and who he'd be facing. Maybe Batista unifies the titles and stops JBL all in one night? cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 I think I'm the only one who might want JBL to job at WM more than HHH. Seriously they need to get the belt off this goof NOW. Cena is really the only guy left and he needs to take it. No more bullshit, no more lucky lame wins, this needs to be the time where Bradshaw's luck runs out. And yes, Batista should win it too. Do something shocking like send fans home happy.
Naked Snake 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 As cool as the Batista turn was, it kinda makes me not look forward to watch him kill Triple H at Mania. I saw Triple H get his just desserts on free television and I saw Batista hold the belt up in the air like a champion (granted it was not his, but you get the point.) Seeing Triple H get beat up like that kinda killed things for me a little. I think Triple H has to get the better of Batista leading up to WrestleMania. As for Cena, hey two babyfaces last year walked out with the title and had a great celebration. They can do that again this year.

Do something shocking like send fans home happy. But think of it this way, Bradshaw will have already held the belt for about 10 months. What's another couple going to do in the grand scheme? Just make it sweeter when he finally loses. It's been established that Batista NEEDS to win at Mania. More so then Cena. If Cena wins the belt in the middle of the card, he will be buried and forgtten by the time Batista is done celebrating to close the show. If you have JBL pick up another cheap win, Cena can chase and an upcoming Smackdown PPV that will badly need a hook will have the rematch, and let Cena shine. I actually remember reading a little while back in one of the newsletters was that the plan was for Cena to lose cheaply at Mania and then he wins the belt in a heavily hyped edition of Smackdown in May or June, since it would be seen by the most people and make Cena's win a big deal since WWE title changes on TV are rare. JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 RAW tonight had a really cool moment in that final closing segment. It wasn't a great show overall, but it had that really cool moment. That's something that's been missing from RAW lately. There have been some solid shows, but nothing that you'd remember for a long time. Tonight had that moment.
