CBright7831 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2005 I attended a highschool girl's basketball game Saturday night. It was our team aginst another team, and we bearly squeaked out the victory in overtime. Ever since then, I have yurned to be back in high school. Not for the work, of course, but for the people. It's almost been a year since I've graduated. This summer, I have nothing to look foward to, and the thing I looked foward to the most last summer was Homecoming (which I was at) because SURPRISE people whom I went to school with were there. I work now, and I don't know if I'm going to go to college. I want to go to college so bad, but I don't know if I would take it 100% seriously, and would just be happy to be back with people I know. Don't some of you (those who have graduated) wish you were back in high school?
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2005 Hell no. Most of the people I went to high school with were jack-offs whom I never want to see again. I have no plans to go to my reunion either. I have no desire to ever see these people again.

Guest Fook Report post Posted March 9, 2005 High school was awful. I've been out of high school for three years and have not kept in touch with anyone. I have no regrets. University life is about a bazillion times better. I figure it's because most of my high school was too stupid to be able to follow me here, so I don't have to deal with those morons anymore. 1234-5678 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2005 I can relive my high school years by banging high school girls. Except I only got laid by older girls back then. But that's still not going to stop me from casting aside all the old beat up 21-24 year olds and jumping back to the 17-19 bracket when me and my friends purchase our house of sin. CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2005 I'm still in High School, and nah, I won't miss the atmosphere. I talk to people, yes, but I hardly have any emotional investment in them. I'll meet new people and keep in touch with one or two of my friends. The rest? Meh. My school is pretty stupid too. WAY too preachy for my liking. It's not so much that I don't want to conform and I want to rebel, but I really don't want people pushing their beliefs down my throat. Also, I hate how in my school, if one person makes a mistake, than the whole class/school is reprimended (sp?). Individuals are never dealt with, and they just continue doing what they do. Bah. Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted March 9, 2005 Sometimes I do only because my happiest times were in High School. Even knowing how it turned out with the ex-fiance that was after High School...all the good times were during it. I miss having that type of person in my life. There's somebody I do care about quite a good deal and her just saying hello from time to time rather than myself having to initiate 99% of the conversation(in the rare times we do converse) would mean the world. She lives in her own world though and I don't seem to mean much in it. So again, yes I do wish I was still in High School. Life was actually easier then. Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2005 Yeah. I actually got to hang out with my friends in high school. Now? When I'm not working, I'm with my girlfriend, and all of my friends are off at college, so I'm stuck with only the friends I had that were underclassmen, and most of them either suck or are too busy with school to spend time with. I've hung out with all of 3 people from my graduating class on a regular basis. During high school? I'd see these people every day, and be out with others every night. Of course, an argument could be made that it's more the fault of my girlfriend that I can't spend time with my friends, but alas, that's not for this folder. Yeah. I miss high school, especially for the one teacher I had in high school that didn't suck (he's retiring this year, so I wish I was still in his class). Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2005 Yeah, I do miss walking through garbage-filled halls, pseudo-riots breaking out because someone stepped on another person's kicks, fake people, busy work, and constant headaches. Wait, no I don't. I've been out of high school for almost two years, and while I still bitch a lot, it's above and beyond better than my time in high school. Anyone who yearns for the days of high school and considers it to be the best time of their life is a sad person. That's fine if you had fun in high school, but you're really not saying much for yourself if you've experienced the best time of your life before you hit 19. Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2005 High school in California was 2Pac on headphones and porn magazines behind the books and getting to call people nigga even though I'm white. High school in Florida was meth and shoplifting and painting my face for sex with girls who slit their wrists for attention. Both cultures I can never truly experience again. It was ok, but I don't really care about it. So, no I don't wish it, but it's no fault of the experience.

Hoff 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2005 Missing it and wanting to be back there are two different animals, and I think people lose sight of that. Think about EVERYTHING high school entailed, even if you had a positive experience. Homework. Curfews. Cliques. It's not all roses and cinnamon. I miss it quite a bit, but I don't want to relive it. By the way, anyone saying "OMG HIGHSCHOOL WAS THE BEST EVER AND REAL LIFE IS A BITCH" or "OMG HIGHSCHOOL SUX AND YOU DO FOR WANTING TO BE BACK THERE LOSER" is probably a little jaded. Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 9, 2005 High School was fantastic. I loved it. I'm still in touch with a couple teachers there and my close friends today are the same ones I went to school with. I did college for a few months and got a good job offer and now i make a decent good honest living at a young age but plan to go back and get my degree. anyone that says high school was horrible likely had it coming anyways. I do miss certain aspects and like KKK wonder if i had done certain things differently, how things would end up. However, I dont regret a damn thing. High School was a great time in my life. Great friends and teachers and i was a success academically as well as athletically...for the most part. I played Football, Soccer and Baseball and was on the speech and debate team along with drama and acted in a few plays. Schoolwork never was a issue for me and hardly was a question. I never got wrapped up in high school drama as I was often playing sports or acting and had only 3 long term girlfriends in high school. No scandals involving me were had. My parents were cool; so i wasn't bound to "curfews" and I had no cliques, i made a point to be open to every person from my teammates on the football team and the debators. I know im one of the very few to think High School was fun but it honestly was.

Guest Sturgis Report post Posted March 9, 2005 I went back in October, and just talked to teachers. I still have a couple friends there but they graduate this year so I doubt I'll visit next year. The Metal Maniac 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2005 I hate university. I'd perfer high school, because at least then when I slacked off, didn't pay attention and never did any homework I'd still get B's. Plus, it wasn't costing my thousands upon thousands of dollars. And yeah, some people were assholes, but I deal with assholes on a daily basis anyway, so whatever. Plus, I could actually talk to people once in a while. I don't know anybody at University, except the people I went to high school with, and I never see any of them. In conclusion, I hate my life.

CBright7831 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2005 I went to visit today, but the teacher I wanted to see wasn't there, so I said I would be back another day. From the time and I came in and out, five people recognized me BECAUSE I'M A FUCKING LEGEND DAMMIT!!!!! Okay, maybe not. But some people did recognize me. See, there's a new principal there, that has made the school hell on earth, so now we're only allowed to visit at a certain time during the day. There are only seven minute breaks, the doors are immediately locked when the bell rings, and you are to report to the lobby to get a tardy pass, etc. She's made the school hell. Anyway, I have alot of friends graduating this year, and I hope to go to graduation.
The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2005 I do miss a lot of my friends from high school and the more social atmosphere there, but if I go back to those days, then that means I have to re-do my first 2 years of University again. That was too much work to re-do again.

I have no desire to ever see these people again. TESTIFY~~ The thing was, they weren't jack-offs to me. But I saw the way they treated others and now if I had the chance and knew I wouldn't get arrested, I'd punch each and every one of them in the mouth. And only one female was mean to me as she was kind enough to make a suicide joke just three months after my brother had done it. How sweet. Then like a moron, I stayed nice to her in college when she was left out in the cold by her boyfriend. Should have let the b*tch freeze but I was too friendly back then and didn't want to lower myself to her level. Now...I'd let her freeze. High School was incredibly boring. The school was too damn hot in the Summer, too damn cold in the winter and too damn humid in the Spring.

The big thing is that you get to buy stuff, but alot of people who take it seriously have already been drinking already. And if you wanted to drink that badly, hypothetically you'd have found a chance by now. It's one of the most arbitrary points in a person's life. Not to get you down about the whole thing. High school sucked. Senior year was pretty good, but the other three years pretty much sucked. I loved my two "high school" years spent at the community college alot better, as I got much more accomplished in a better environment for learning. And my girl and I in the early years had it rough, and things have smoothed out.
