Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 Blazers stink, lost 13 out of their last 16 games and their last two games they've lost by a combined 52 points. If nothing else they're ensuring they'll get a high draft pick at least.

If nothing else they're ensuring they'll get a high draft pick at least. I heard the NBA was investigating them on tanking their season. I think that while the Blazers have sucked lately, the good play by Richie Fram, Travis Outlaw, and Sebastian Telfair has been promising towards the future of the franchise. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted March 18, 2005 Lakers should get their retribution in the Miami game. The Christmas game was closer than I imagined. The Lakers have now had time to gel better and I think Frank Hamblen is a wonderful coach (30 + years of experience makes a difference).Dude, we lost to the Clippers last week and barely beat the Bobcats last night. This team is much worse off than with Rudy T. See what I meant? Fuck Frank Hamblen. During the first couple months of the season, it was obvious LA wasn't one of the premier teams, but they could hang with the big boys, and maybe could've managed a seed anywhere from #4-6. Without him, they're lost, dazed, and confused and might not even make the playoffs, although to be honest I don't care if they do or not since they wouldn't have a shot against any team not named the Mavericks, or maybe the Nuggets and Kings. alfdogg 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2005 Reggie goes for 39 in a win over the Lakers. It must have been old school night, as Dale Davis also pulled in 16 rebounds. And it's official now, O'Neal is out for the regular season. He says he hopes to be back for the first round of the playoffs. I originally laughed at this, but more performances like tonight could end up getting us there, though I'd personally rather see us in the lottery in this situation. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted March 19, 2005 I'm glad to see the Lakers heading for the lottery. The season began out rather promising considering all the turnover this past offseason, and Odom had been doing well in the opportunities he's gotten but they desperately need a new coach and some quality bench players. Losing Lamar tonight really hurt, but seriously, fuck the playoffs at this point. I can only hope someone in the Lakers organization wakes up and cuts Medvedenko eventually. I don't believe it was any coincidence that the Lakers were leading both times he entered into the Heat game only to go down by double digits a couple minutes later. bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2005 Spurs and Pistons play tomorrow on ABC. I dunno, i feel the match kinda loses some luster without Larry Brown coaching, being that the two are such defensive teams. Brown v Popovich is a big part of the appeal of this match. Gonna have to give it to the Spurs.
Sass 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2005 Fuck Frank Hamblen? Put down the bong VX. If anyone should get a fuck you it should be Rudy T who turned out to be a bust as a head coach. No one on the Lakers can play any defense and they lack the discipline to gut it out for 4 quarters. Hamblen has done a remarkable job with the tools he's been given. The Lakers should have dropped off the playoff radar when Kobe went down with an ankle injury but the team managed to stay competitive and kept the 8th seed spot. Rudy T turned out to be a giant disappoinment. Vlade Divac is too old. Chris Mihm is a pussy. Chucky Atkins is too inconsistent. Caron Butler is just lost out on the court for whatever the reason but also doesn't get many minutes. Lamar Odom needs to quit coming to games stoned and follow what is happening on the court. This team is all lost on the court. I really hope the Lakers can get some starter FA's in the next couple of years that aren't bench warmers (Celtics and Heat guys). The Fett 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2005 http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/orl-...ack=1&cset=true Steve Francis has been suspended indefinitely after pulling a Rodman and kicking a photographer. Steve Francis suspended by NBA By Brian Schmitz | Sentinel Staff Writer Posted March 19, 2005, 5:30 PM EST SEATTLE -- Orlando Magic point guard Steve Francis has been suspended indefinitely without pay by the NBA for kicking an NBA courtside photographer Friday night. The length of Francis' suspension will be determined pending an investigation. According to NBA courtside photographer Jeff Reinking, he and Francis got entangled on the sideline and Francis kicked him during the Magic's 98-90 loss to the Seattle SuperSonics on Friday. Francis said after the game that a photographer "threw my legs down, man. I don't know what was happening." Jameer Nelson will start at point guard tonight against the Portland Trail Blazers in place of Francis.

This team is all lost on the court. I really hope the Lakers can get some starter FA's in the next couple of years that aren't bench warmers (Celtics and Heat guys). It's certainly not a coincidence at all that with Rudy T., they managed to stay competitive with the top teams in the league and seemed destined for somewhere between a #5 or #6 spot. With Hamblen, they've gone down to #8 or worse. The Kobe injury didn't help matters, and I agree that Butler has been a tremendous disappointment and Divac was a HORRIBLE signing. Atkins has improved significantly from the beginning of the season, but can't do anything but shoot 3's. Mihm is a solid player. And please tell me you're joking about Odom! He's fifth in the West in rebounds per game, and ninth in the league overall. When the offense flows through him as they did in that one game against the Kings last December (Lamar Odom Basketball ©) not only can they win they can dominate. He's meant to be their Scottie Pippen to Bryant's MJ. And seriously, any coach who gives Slava Medvedenko that much playing time over, say, Luke Walton and Tierre "Fearless inside the paint" Brown, is fucking bonkers. With Rudy T., these guys were able to beat the Suns (before choking a lead anyways), and keep it close with the best teams in the league, and beat the crappy ones consistently. Now they have to take game winning shots against the fucking Bobcats, and have now lost 4 in a row to teams they could have all beaten earlier this season. The dropoff has been ridiculously noticeable since Tomjanovich resigned. I'm happy with the Celtics trade considering they got a good young center in Mihm (whose biggest drawback is that he seems a bit too light to bang inside and crash the boards, but that could be because I'm used to seeing a 300+ pound center in there over the past few years) and a good outside shooter in Atkins, even though he's on the wrong side of 30. But Butler hasn't shown nearly the promise he did in Miami where he was pretty much on Wade's level during last year's semi-finals run, and Grant hasn't played as many minutes. Here's to the draft lottery!
mike546 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 OR MAYBE, just maybe, the Lakers aren't that good? I haven't seen much of them, but from what I saw when they came to the Garden, its the obe show. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted March 20, 2005 I didn't say they were. Any team on the wrong side of .500 at this point in the season doesn't deserve to be called such. I was just pointing out what I think is wrong with them.

Well, looks like the Orlando Magic shan't be going to the playoffs. Nice one Franchise. See, if Cuttino Mobley had stayed in town, he never would have done this. He just wanted to get suspended for the rest of the season because he couldn't do it without Cuttino.
