John Cena copying Jadakiss...

Recommended Posts

I thought he stole that laugh from Super Troopers. You know, where buddy throws the bottle of syrup at the cop, he turns around and then gets a little "Ah-HA" laugh in response? Yeah, that's where I thought it came from.

You guys are enraged when he has a spinner belt, but when someone brings this up, no one cares.

The spinner belt looked like shit, embarrassed a title with a long and storied history and was a waste of money and effort.

Yet it's being bought up by thousands and thousands of people.

No! A rapper stealing from another rapper?! Who would have thought it would come to this...and Cena came up with Word Life (if I'm mistaken then my facts aren't right)

Well, if we're going this route:

My God! The Undertaker uses stuff from teen Goth Blogs!

We need Angesault to come in and point out:

A)John Cena dresses like a bum because only bums wear old jerseys

B)John Cena doesn't speak proper english

C)Rap music is crap

The sheer whiteness of this thread is very entertaining.

No shit.

The guy has went platinum, topped the Billboard album chart, got a Grammy nomination... where do most of you people live, under rocks? Does he have to have a **** match on PPV before you to look up from the computer screen?

*waits for witty "Yes" response from some asshole, then three other "Yes" replies after that*

Also, the irony of replying simply to say you don't care is far too funny.

I also noticed the Jadakiss laugh he used to finish his promo with. I guess it's only fair he rips off one of the best around. Could be worse. Could start wearing a band aid under his eye and going "Uh Ooooh".

Anyone else think his new theme sounds like a shitty version of a Scott Storch track?

I've never heard of Jadakiss, but I've never claimed to being anything but snow white.

I guess if he's going to rip off someone, it might as well be someone good who's not extremely popular, right?

Jadakiss has been saying it way before this movie came out.

Don't mean to sound rude, CanadianChick, but that statement is very ignorant. Just because you don't know him, dosen't mean he isn't popular.

Anyone who has a remote interest in Hip Hop/Rap knows who he is. He is a platinum selling artist, has numerous hits, grammy nomination, and has done songs with some of the best selling rap artist in the game(He was apart of Puff Daddy's Bad Boy label, before leaving to the Ruff Ryders).

And currently is making all kinds of news because of his beef with 50 cent. It's all over MTV, Muchmusic, BET, whatever.

If you don't think he is good, thats your opinion, you problay don't listen to Rap. But as a Rap fan, he is one of the best rappers alive right now.

Sorry for the rant.

It's not really his gimmick to rip off other rappers. It's not clever or ironic, it's stupid. If anything, it makes it sound really lame and out of touch to just rip off something that's popular. It would be like having a wrestler, now, somehow use "Rick James Bitch!" to insult their opponent at the end of a promo, as if that wasn't overdone already.

But judging by the responses in this thread, most people don't know who he is so I guess it's fresh and original and stuff.

Jeff Hardy stole the hanky code!

Rey Mysterio stole my camcorder.

Heidenreich stole my virginity.

Edge stole my g/f

This is the direction this post needs to go, b/c this John Cena/Jadakiss bullshit is nonsense.

Basically.

I guess that's why I was excited after the fingerpoke of doom, because I wasn't around for the nWo the first time they did it, so now I was getting to see it. Of course, this is said to be by many to be the point at which WCW died, so it was probably not a good idea.

What I meant by him being extremely popular was the average person (for example, yours truly) knowing who he was. Unless his name is Eminem, 50 Cent, or a regular in Top 40 radio, people probably won't catch on Cena is ripping them off.

I plead complete ignorance to rap, I admit that. But I like to think I'm intune with pop culture, and I'm sure if I ask my friends, not a lot of them would know who Jadakiss is. I'm certainly not saying he's not successful and doesn't have a solid fanbase, but he can't be THAT popular if I haven't heard of him. Then again, as I've said, I'm as white as snow, so I'm probably not the best judge.

Hey, I'm an almost-30 white guy, and I've heard of Jadakiss. Now, I couldn't pick out 1 of his songs for the life of me, but I have at least heard of him, so I'm a bit surprised none of you young-uns have heard of him.

hey, I am also a lame white guy, I just know Jada cuz hes from my hometown of Yonkers, NY and is a friend of my uncle. Plus my sister whos into pretty much all music knew of him so that makes him ok in my book.

Besides Cena is a wrestler not a rapper, no matter he puts out a cd or not. cmon look at the originals cds, would that make rikishi a singer as well?

Uhhuh, besides hes more of an east coast guy, more popular in the ny area. Unlike dmx (who was actually my neighbor from down the street when i lived in the ghetto) who is more mainstream.
