Guest Sturgis Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Jimmy has to figure out a way to pull himself together before the big talent show. All the kids are getting ready for the big South Park Elementary Talent Show and Jimmy can't wait to perform his new comedy routines. But lately, just like generations of little boys before him, Jimmy's noticed that one of his body parts has a mind of its own. Knowing he can't get up in front of the entire school in an excited state, Jimmy must find a way to gain control of his raging hormones in time to perform in the show.
razazteca Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 "come, come, come, come, on......go down."
Guest Smues Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 I've lost count of the episodes, is this the last one for this half of the season?
Mik Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Sounds good. Episode count..hmmm... let's see if I can do it off the top of my head: 1) Negroplasty 2) Cartman kills hippies 3) Kenny/Schiavo 4) Cartman dies 5) Talent agents 6) The baseball one 7) This one If it's true that there are only 7 this run... this is the last one.
AboveAverage484 Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 Man this episode is bitchin', best of the year easily! It's the little stuff, like Butters pulling his pants down to his ankles to piss, and Jimmy getting electrocuted by the headset.
razazteca Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 Its great to see the conformists do a cameo in the talent show.
Gary Floyd Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 Holy shit. I spent most of that episode with my jaw on the floor. Too bad we didn't get more of Cartman doing Scarface.
Guest jumpingbombangel Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 This one was such a winner. Oh my God, I was rolling on the floor with the juxtapositioned talent show and Jimmy's adventure. Holy Jesus, this one knocked it out of the park.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 GREAT episode, Cartman's Scarface is my new Lord and savior. For some reason, Jimmy knocking on the urinal and Cartman saying "No room at the inn for you Virgin Mary" killed me as well. great great stuff.
Mik Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 You guys mentioned all my favorite parts as well, except... "Sir! Sir! That is my hoe, sir! I paid for her and she is my hoe. Sir! "Grab my cane, nutgobbler." And all the stuff with Butters.... "Whose droppin' bombs in there?"
haws bah gawd Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 This episode was alright, but aside from a few parts, it didn't really do anything for me. Whats with Barbrady? They have the Park County police on nearly every episode, and I figured he had been written off the show like a lot of the other supporting characters from the first couple seasons. They also changed-up his voice a little. As usual though, Cartman makes the episode. "No room at the Inn for you, Virgin Mary" is going to be my quote of the week. Also, being a big Journey fan, that nerdy girl singing "Open Arms" at the talent show had me rolling.
JoeDirt Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 "Have you seen this? Have you heard about this?"
Guest OSIcon Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 Some really good lines in this episode. Cartman's "No room at the Inn Virgin Mary" line made me laugh out loud. All of Butters stuff was good as usual, especially the way he pulled his pants down and pulled his shirt up to take a piss. The funniest line for me was Jimmy's "Have you seen this? Have you heard about this?" I always liked his "You are a great audiance" but this was even better. It got funnier and funnier each time he said it.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 Whats with Barbrady? Agreed. And the new voice is, ugh. Was an ok episode, but not great. My favorite part was the goths -- I must be getting old or something...
Guest jumpingbombangel Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 Whats with Barbrady? Agreed. And the new voice is, ugh. Was an ok episode, but not great. My favorite part was the goths -- I must be getting old or something... (off-key) "No, no-no...not gonna be in the faggy talent show." Butters' stage fright was too, too awesome. I really didn't see that one coming. Jesus, that was a great bit. I dunno what it is about this season, I've just really enjoyed each one in its own way...and now I gotta go back and get them all so I can enjoy them over the summer.
Placebo Effect Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 I didn't really like too much of Jimmy dealing with the pimp, but everything else was pure gold. Awesome, awesome episode.
Jericholic82 Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 yea I liked Jimmys impersonation of jay leno with the have you heard this lines. Cmon no one mentioned the best line "You put your hard penis in the womens vagina untill it sneezes milk inside. Then you lose all interest in the woman" Butters rules!!! "Loo loo loo I got some apples....."
Guest Olympic Slam Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 This is what I love about South Park. The show is definitely in decline (this season and last fall with the Wal-Mart episode ect. was the first time I didn't absolutely love more than half the episodes) but I still get some good laughs. That's good enough for me.
haws bah gawd Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 I DEMAND this character get more attention. He has been extremely neglected since the steroids episode. Make it happen Trey and Matt!!!!!
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 I hate the Timmy character. But I also a big non-fan of Jimmy. Until last night. He's cool with me now. Loo Loo Loo I've got some too
Your Paragon of Virtue Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 Some laughs, but there was no real point to the episode. Disappointing.
Vern Gagne Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 Missed the early part of the episode..but no Kyle and Stan? Strange the two main characters, don't even make a cameo appearance at least from what I saw.
Guest OSIcon Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 My only problem with South Park over the last season or so is that the episodes that are supposed to be "shocking" seem to fall pretty flat. Take this one for example. I really liked all of Butters stuff, all of Cartman's scenes were really good, and I liked Jimmy's early stuff. The whole "Nutgobbler" thing did absolutely nothing for me. That whole part, ending with Jimmy (presumably) having sex with her, just seemed way too forced. Parts of the Paris Hilton episode felt the same way (though I probably liked that one more). I don't mind if they are doing social commentary or not. It is just the forced and over the top attempts to be shocking that tend to hurt episodes for me. I might be in the minority, but I thought episode like this one would have been really good had the Nutgobbler thing been done a different way.
