Dakota Fanning -- Hide and Seek (20th Century Fox)

-HOLY CRAP! This one's a trainwreck. Saw was decient, but Cary was bad. The Grudge sucked and Geller didn't even seem to be in it that much. And Chucky and Cursed both bombed badly.

And Napoleon Dynamite sucked badly. I know MTV has a piece of the film, and tons of people got tricked into thinking it was great. But it was the worst movie I've ever seen in the theater.

Yeah, my family. I hate sequels too, so Meet the Fockers is torture, but they love it.

Napoleon Dynamite is a love it or hate it thing, and I defy my own rule by thinking it's ok.

Why is this even a category?

Best Videogame based on a Movie

Never played any of these, and never will.

In closing, let me say this:

Expect Episode III to dominate next year.

Isn't this for the 2004 Movie Award?

Except for a few (Hitch, Diary..., Coach Carter), these all look like 2004 movies. I guess it's Affirmative Action.

LOL that Scorcese can't even get an MTV Movie Award.

Apparently you can vote as many times as you want, even if you don't delete cookies or anything.

*votes twice against Portman in any category she's in*

I think the eilgablty period is for anything that came out from April 1, 2004 to March 31, 2005.

How can they be giving out awards for only 2005, the nominees would be even worse. This is how it's always worked. Hell, I'm convinced it's all fixed anyway.

Let me stop you there.

Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay is the best movie based game in the history of ever. Hell, even without movie tieins, it's a superb game. I'd even go as far to say that I had a lot more fun with The Chronicles of Riddick than any other X-Box game last year or than I will this year. It's the best game on X-Box, unless you deepthroat Bungie for their overhyped game.

As far as the awards go, I never expected any quality from the MTV Movie Awards, but Anchorman better win every category it's nominated for. That movie is so awesome it's ridiculous.

I've seen worse, but you know, I'm starting to get sick of Ben Stiller.

Is anyone not?

I'm sick of Stiller/Wilson/Vaugh movies period.

The awards/nominees seem to get worse every year. Napoleon Dynamite gets a Best Movie nomination? And where's Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind?

What's wrong with Natalie?

Seriously what the FUCK? It's not like the "best kiss" category isn't silly enough, but has anyone seen Elektra? Thats the most boring girl/girl kiss in the history of film. My girl made me suffer through the Notebook, but the kiss in that movie at least meant something. This (Elektra nomination) was just to pop the 13 year old boys with the "ooooo, chicks making out" mentality. I get more irritated by MTV as each day goes by.

I stopped reading after Million Dollar Baby didn't get a Best Movie nod.

MTV probably chipped in on such movies as Napoleon Dynamite, Hitch, Mean Girls, Seed of Chucky, and Cursed, so of course, they'll get a nod or two.

And to this day, I still say that Kill Bill: Vol.1 would have beat LOTR: ROTK if it has been nominated for Best Movie. Of course, MTV knew this, and did not want to fuck up the LOTR winning all three times.

Of course, some of those movie deserved the Best Movie award (Pulp Fiction, Se7en, The Matrix) and some did not (Scream, TSABM, MIIS).

Maybe because it came out well over a year ago?

Besides, "Napoleon Dynamite" was the most original and funny thing to hit theaters in quite a few years.

And I'm not sure if it is entirely a coincidence that a parody of socially inept teen-aged boys would be recieving such a strong backlash from the Internet, of all places. ;)

So did Kill Bill Vol. 2 and Garden State, but they still made the list.

man, what the hell happened after '96? Actually, I'll give them Scream, since I really liked it and can't remember any movies that came out that year...

I was gonna say why the hell didn't Shaun of the Dead get any nominations, but then I remembered it's British, so MTV's never heard of it
