Fartsauce Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 Do you think it's going to be someone like Batista breaking it or will they give someone a "rub" and let a midcarder do it? I'm thinking it could be someone coming over from Smackdown but that's just a wild guess.
CanadianChris Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 Batista breaking it would be absolutely stupid, as it would kill Masters dead. That makes no sense whatsoever. So yeah, I can totally see Batista breaking it.
algrim Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 I could see Kurt Angle being the one that breaks the Masterlock, after he gets drafted to Raw.
cabbageboy Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 I agree on Angle as well, but it'd be after the whole ECW PPV and what not. Let Masters take out a couple more actual wrestlers first. Then Angle breaks it, but Masters then challenges him for the gold medals. If they are serious about pushing this bum might as well do something that would already make sense.
RavishingRickRudo Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 Viscera. Thus creating the worst feud ever.
Mearl267 Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 (edited) Well, for some unknown reason, I think it might be Val Venis. He's the only one that they have actually let attempt to break it, and I think they might be building on that. Or, it was simply Masters being made to look even stronger by making a valid WWE superstar not be able to break the hold. I'm going to say at the moment, Venis. Because let's face it, anyone besides Richards would just be being thrown at us anyways, because Chris really doesn't have a past with anyone but Stevie. Edited May 31, 2005 by Mearl267
Guest M. Harry Smilac Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 It will be Bubba Ray. Just imagine him reversing it in to the 'bubba ass-buster bomb'.
Dobbs 3K Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 How come know one gives him a donkey kick to the groin to break it? I seriously have no idea who might break it...maybe Viscera? I really hope not, but I could see them going with him, seeing how he's big and has been getting a push lately. I figure it might be some new guy from OVW, but I haven't kept up with who might be coming up soon. I'm thinking it will be during or after the draft...maybe someone like Heidenreich comes over to RAW and challenges Masters, and ends up breaking the hold. Or maybe Tyson Tomko turns face after Christian goes to Smackdown? Not really exciting possibilities, but they _have_ been doing a good job building this finisher as being credible, at least, so when someone does break it, it will be something of a big deal. On a side note...what was the deal with Masters beating Stevie last week? He injures the guy, and then gets to basically squash him again? At least the match was half decent...it seemed like they were kind of being stiff with each other, but maybe I was just imagining things.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 I know it's a long shot but Brock Lesnar will break it.
Kahran Ramsus Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 Nobody will break it. Masters will just be sent to OVW/fired one week and the whole thing will be dropped.

Last time I checked he was still facing jobbers, plants and Val/Stevie level wrestlers, who won't made anything credible because they're seen by the crowd as just named job guys. Does it still get boring chants, or has that ended?
Toxxic Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 Vince McMahon. Come on, he's been interrupting everyone else.
Guest Fook_Theta Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 I believe the plan is for Tank Toland or another one of the OVW guys to break his masterlock and for them to have a nice program. Might be pretty good since masters has worked with the OVW guys often enough to have a good match/feud.
Gary Floyd Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 Vince McMahon. Come on, he's been interrupting everyone else. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Vince would never put himself over his stars (sarcasm)
Twisted Intestine Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 Seriously.. what's with the same topics over and over and over again? Is there nothing else to discuss besides; Hardy & Lita Masterlock, Angle Challenge HHHeld down Is Shelton a star? Just to name a few I've seen more than once in the past month.
B. Brian Brunzell Posted June 1, 2005 Report Posted June 1, 2005 Well, there's really not much else to talk/bitch/gripe about.
natey2k4 Posted June 1, 2005 Report Posted June 1, 2005 it'll be Jeff Hardy with that stupid ass Jaw Breaker.
haws bah gawd Posted June 1, 2005 Report Posted June 1, 2005 I'll go out on a limb and say if WWE signs him, it will be Samoa Joe. If its anyone on the current roster though, I would say either Batista, Kane, or maybe even Benoit. It's really hard to tell what this is building up to. Off topic, but I dont keep up with Smackdown, so has anyone come remotely close to beating Angle?
Jobber of the Week Posted June 1, 2005 Report Posted June 1, 2005 Undertaker will no-sell it. Actually, I wouldn't be suprised if a new wrestler with either a hardcore or brawler gimmick breaks it by doing what I keep suggesting and just kick Masters in the crotch.

Just John Posted June 1, 2005 Report Posted June 1, 2005 Mark Henry upon his return. That would make for some great matches.
Guest Brian Posted June 1, 2005 Report Posted June 1, 2005 Whatever happened to Puder? I always thought they were going to use the Angel Hometown Challenge with him, but they've waited too long to pull that off.
DrVenkman PhD Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 According to the WM21 Battle Royal, Booker T won the challenge on April 3rd, 2005.
