UZI Suicide Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 Lasted longer than I expected.. now Axl, beg Slash and Duff to come back The super band Velvet Revolver, that has also visited in Finland has broken up. The band gave a successful concert in Helsinki Ice Hall, last August, but the planned gig in July, at the Ruisrock Festival went up in smoke. Ruisrock is at the time looking for a new headliner to replace VR. Last fall Slash was really optimistic about the future, and everything looked good for the band. It is said that the state of Scott Weiland is the reason for the burial of Velvet Revolver. The official statement from the band is expected shortly.
mister foozel Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 http://www.belowempty.com/vr/index.php?p=news#n050606_1 VR is NOT breaking up! Contrary to some tough internet rumours and speculation by Finnish magazine 'Iltalehti', the band is NOT breaking up! Even though the band have cancelled some European shows after the Live8 benefit (more info & official statements will probably follow soon), they are only taking a break from the exhausting tour that they've been on for over a year, so they can rock the U.S. even better after a well-deserved break.
Red Baron Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 Mediocracy at its best right here. Bland album. Bland band.
1234-5678 Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 I was happy for about ten seconds, then I scrolled down.
B. Brian Brunzell Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 If I weren't wearing brand new socks, the first reply would have ruined my day.
jimmy no nose Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 Did you hear that new song they did for the Fantastic Four soundtrack? It's called Come On, Come In or something lame like that and it's basically just Slither Part II.
Guest *KNK* Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 I'm still trying to figure out the difference between Audioslave and Velvet Revolver.
AboveAverage484 Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 I'm still trying to figure out the difference between Audioslave and Velvet Revolver. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> All the kids who listen to their music seem to forget that they were in bands ten times more awesome in the past; Soundgarden, Rage, GNR, and STP. Wait, that's not a difference, it's a point
Guest *KNK* Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 What does their past history with great bands have to with the fact they currently put out bland and mediocre material today that you ask any casual radio listener, they wouldn't tell those two bands and other apart from each other.
tekcop Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 I was kind of excited at first. Would have made me somewhat more interested in Ozzfest.
Guest *KNK* Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 Isnt VR only playing the final 8 shows anyways? Thankfully I get the Iron Maiden leg.
PLAGIARISM! Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 The most amusing thing is that everyone can laugh at Billy Idol, but his new stuff is almost indistinguishable from this VR shite. No difference, except maybe he's a better showman than Weiland.
Art Sandusky Posted June 10, 2005 Report Posted June 10, 2005 I don't know what Audioslave sounds like in the first place, but I do know what Velvet Revolver sounds like. Go me.
tekcop Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 Isnt VR only playing the final 8 shows anyways? Thankfully I get the Iron Maiden leg. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Tenessee never gets anything good. It's like we're not even a part of the 48 greater states.

tekcop Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 I thought he died in a horrible car crash....
AboveAverage484 Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 I thought he died in a horrible car crash.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought he committed suicide when TNA started going down the tubes.
The Czech Republic Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 As I went to check this thread where Corey returned, the view count was 666!
B. Brian Brunzell Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 As I went to check this thread where Corey returned, the view count was 666! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Coincidence? I think not.
Corey_Lazarus Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 I did both (car crash, suicide in the fall of '03). Neither worked, apparently. Sooooo...yeah. I hate Scott Weiland.
