I plan on doing one of two things:

-Buying the DVD and just keeping the show saved to my DVR.

-Buying the DVD, then downloading a torrent of the "uncut" original airing and burning that to a DVD with menus and everything. Then I'll use one of my empty DVD cases that holds two discs, and take make a two disc set, using the artwork and insert from the retail version.

I'll more than likely go with the second choice.

Are you kidding? You'd not support a product that you supposedly like, because Sandman doesn't have his overrated shitiest of shitty Metallica songs as an entrance theme?

Well Sandman doing his entrance was one of the highlights of the show to me and I think it sucks they had to change it.

...and yet, the same twits who don't buy the dvd because of this reasoning will also bitch when WWE thinks that ECW didn't sell because no one's interested.

I don't care if ECW comes back, in fact, I don't want it back.

Seriously. It's called licensing and copyrights, look into it. You really expect WWE to shell out royalties to every crappy band that ECW pirated an entrance theme off of in the first place? Give me a break.

No, but I think they could've shelled out the money to use that one song.

I dunno, why would I want to buy something that is actually worse than what I already have? In my opinion it's always best to have the original PPV taping, rather than the tinkered factory release. Didn't they edit the Rock being booed vs. Hogan at WM 18 and all that for the DVD? Stuff like that seriously impacts the show, and it goes the same for editing the Sandman's music.

Question - is there a second language track (Spanish, etc.) on the disc?

I remember the Wrestlemania XX DVD had the option to turn on the Spanish track and you could hear the unedited audio (specifically during the Brock-Goldberg match).

The secondary audio track is JBL mic'd at the ppv. Torch posted these highlights of the commentary track tonite.......

JBL has some running alternative track commentary on the ECW One Night Stand DVD released in stores today. It's commentary from him while he watched the show from the balcony. Orlando Jordan also slips in a number of comments. Both were in heel anti-ECW mode.

He keps on calling Mike Awesome: "Mike Awful."

As Masato Tanaka comes out, JBL yells five or six times: "THATS MY DOORMAN!"

As Tommy Dreamer comes out, he says, "This is the main event??"

As Sandman looks under the ring: "What's he looking for now, a treadmill?" "Or an oxygen tank!"

As the BWO comes out: "And you wonder they they went out of business"

About Blue Meanie: "Fat f--- with blue hair. Go find your porn star wife!"

About Meanie as he's dancing on the middle rope: "It looks like a onkey screwing a basketball, him being up there. Go donate your body to science fiction, you fat lowly lowly (yes, he says it twice) pig. e looks like a blue haired 800 pound Abe Lincoln."

As Big Stevie Cool is giving his speech: "Go home now."

As Kash comes down: "This is a carnival."

On Balls: "They're chanting balls" and then chants along with them saying "balls" approximately 100 times before saying, "You know if you really beat someone, you lick them. Does this mean you lick balls."

On Axl: "Has anyone heard of the Atkins diet"

On Balls & Axl (this is funny because of Johnny Ace's interest in signing them): "Who are the fat guys who came in?"

On the main event: "This could be awful, but it might not be good. I gotta be drunk for this one."

Regarding Mike Awesome: "Someone run in make Awesome use one of his 93 finishers..."

When Lance Storm runs in: "You can hear the paint dry. Here comes the most boring man in the history of boring. Lance Storm couldn't fill an arena if you gave free beer and free tickets. They say he's retiring today, (mumbled) if a tree falls in a forrest, no one cares. National Hockey League. No one cares."

Lance gets thrown out: "Is his career over now? Bye Lance, don't come back."

As the flaming table gets lit: "Now that's heat! Is there not a fire marshall in the New York state watching this?"

Any updates on the buyrate?

From this week's Torch....

Although the first solid ECW buyrate returns are a couple weeks away, the latest indications are more sobering for those enthusiastic about the project. The preliminary estimates or guesses of 600,000 to 800,000 will probably end up quite high compared to reality, which is expected now to be 350,000 to 550,000, still very good.

Yes there is a Spanish audio track. So there are 3 audio track options.

Can you confirm whether or not the music is edited on the Spanish track?

Just checked, yes, it's still edited. Edited on the JBL version too which kind of stinks since they dub it in over and mute his mic so no commentarry from JBL during the entrance which is a shame since I'm sure he had some choice thoughts.

It's "Awesomebomb" it's an ECW original, by Harry Slash and the Slashtones.

Interesting, since Slash said he destroyed the master after Awesome fucked the company over.

Now we'll never know if JBL was singing along to the song lol. I'm going to get the DVD since I dont care about the editing. Then if another version comes out, I can sell it on ebay and buy the new version

I'm probably gonna do something similar to Downhome's plan. I'll rent the DVD, rip the special features to my computer, rip the original PPV to the computer, and just make my own DVD.

Screw that. The torrent versions always have awful video quality and are split into multiple versions, which can create syncing issues.

I'll just put it's audio track alongside the DVD video as best as I can and get the best of both world. But I won't do anything at all until I find out what this July release is.

I'm by no means a huge ECW mark (I did enjoy the product mostly), but holy crap does JBL have an inflated sense of self-worth.

As Tommy Dreamer comes out, he says, "This is the main event??"

Which most people said about JBL during the majority of his reign.

As the BWO comes out: "And you wonder they they went out of business"

Like JBL is/was some huge draw. Besides which, the bWo weren't ME'ers, so the criticism doesn't work.

When Lance Storm runs in: Lance Storm couldn't fill an arena if you gave free beer and free tickets. They say he's retiring today, (mumbled) if a tree falls in a forrest, no one cares. National Hockey League. No one cares."

I'd like to see how many people JBL could get into an arena. And what would JBL's legacy be when he retires? "Midcard tag guy who got an undeserved push & title reign"? I'll admit he grew into the role, and worked to improve himself, but is anyone going to remember JBL 5 years after he's retired?

Besides his remarks towards Meanie and Storm, you can tell he's in work mode. He's miced for god's sake and knows it's going on the DVD release. He also is getting progressively drunker as the night goes on and starts just saying whatever comes to his mind to make OJ and others laugh.

Its funny because everytime JBL starts talking bad about a wrestler or a match, I compared his career to the match and JBL can't even compare himself to anyone who was there or whatever match was happening. When he started asking "This is a five star match" in a sarcastic tone. I was wondering when was the last time JBL had a 5 star match, hell then I started wondering how long he has been in the WWE because for ever how long he's been there, he hasn't even had one 5 star match. I sware JBL is the worse liar today.

What he said.

Besides that, the fans were chanting ***** match during Tanaka/Awesome. Which it clearly wasn't. JBL was probably reacting to the crowd, rather than saying he was better than Tanaka/Awesome. But then again, it's JBL, so obviously he can't be given the benefit of the doubt.

Also, in regards to comparing JBL to the ECW crew, I'd take JBL over a good number of the ECW guys there.

well that awesome/tanaka match looked like all of their matches in ecw in the past so it wa snothing new, right down to the same spots and all.

but jbl was in character so its ok IMO. I espcially enjoyed his fred sanford impression after Heyman "shooted" on him.

Orlando got in some good jabs as well throughout

JBL was totally blitzed by the maine vent and it really showed.

Sorry to say this but JBL looked great out there. He looked like a true king standing on that balcony with his low voice and he cut a great promo. He didn't give a fuck about what Heyman said and faked a heartattack which I laughed about and he looked strong in the ring.

This is as good a place as any to ask this question.

HTQ...what is with the ECW Collection DVD set to be released on 7/12? I haven't heard anything about it from the usual suspects. WWE.com has nothing on it. Yet several sites have a release date of 7/12.

http://videoeta.com/movie/72659

http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=WWE093886

Will the date be pushed back?

I have a Real Media copy that for some reason starts near the end of the PPV and then after the PPV ends the beginning starts. So, just a little out of order but that can be solved by FFing.
