treble 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2005 At McDonalds, I just get whatever the McDeal for that day is (unless it's Friday, since I don't like the Filet of Fish). I try to only eat there when I'm working and I can get a meal that fills me up for the rest of the day/night for under $5. Wendy's is usually the Classic Double w/o cheese or onions, but they usually fuck it up and leave the cheese on, but I can live with it. Don't go anywhere else often enough to have a 'regular' burger.

Star Ocean 3 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2005 But non-chain restaurants usually are much better in quality. I'm getting sick of the same fast food places.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2005 That's the best chain burger joint, but you are right that many of the local restaurants are the best places to get burgers. As for what I order, I don't have any favourites. I just order what I feel like at the time.

Mom and Pop always trumps Chain, but since there's no In and Out in Canada, I feel a little left out. Philly Mick was going to serve In and Out for the 2005 Champions Dinner, as was rumoured. Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2005 Double Steak Burger with Cheese from Steak N Shake and the burgers at Sci-Fi Dine-in Theater in MGM at Disneyland. Steak N Shake gets points for availability, but if I could get these as easily I'd definately pick them over SnS's burgers.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2005 I'm not sure if this is an American chain or not but back in the day I had a burger at a place in Vancouver called Earls and it was probably the best burger I'd ever tried. Now that I'm back eating meat I plan on making burgers a "catch-up" priority.

Crimson Platypus 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 McDonalds - after working there for 5 years (some time ago) I can't eat there anymore, it just grosses me out Burger King - Whopper no cheese Wendy's - currently my favorite chain fast food place, Classic Bacon whatever it is is awesome. Rally's - Double pepperjack with bacon, greasy goodness at it's greasy best. White Castle - 10 sliders. Can't be beat at 3 a.m. whist drunk.
Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 Forgot all about Fuddruckers. I love their Buffalo Burgers, cooked medium well.
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 Inn-n-out is good enough. I like their fries and shakes more. Carls jr six dollar burger is excellent. The best one here in socal to me is The Habit. They have charbroiled burgers and they are awesome. Nonchain-there is a mexican rest here that serves cheesburgers ( i guess for the kiddees) but I don't like mexi food so I always oder the burgers there and they are quite good. Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 When I visit my Mother in Ohio, I make it a point to hit up Steak n Shake. Those burgers are the bomb as well.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2005 McDonald's - double cheeseburger Hardee's - chili cheeseburger if it's in, if not I usually get some slammers. Wendy's - classic double or triple A & W - deluxe bacon double All of the above should be meat & cheese only (and chili, in the case of the chili burger). I usually get fish at BK and spicy chicken at Wendy's.

Ced 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2005 There's a burger at Red Robin that they top with a sunny side up egg, but I forgot what it's called. Blatantly unhealthy, but I liked it. At In-N-Out, it's always about the Double-Double, Animal Style with no pickles or tomatoes for me. At Carl's Jr., I get the Western Bacon Cheeseburger or, if I can afford it, the Six Dollar Burger version. I recently discovered a small shop in town that serves a really decent 1/4 pounder with self-serve toppings and produce. Much better tasting than the McD's variety. Matt Young 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2005 Applebees' Cowboy Burger is fantastic. Big beef pattie, barbecue sauce, onion petals, cheese.... It's like Burger King's old Rodeo Burger, but better. McDonald's- Big n Tasty, Big Mac, Double Quarter Pounder w/cheese are all good Burger King- Whopper with bacon\ Jack in the Box- Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger Farmer Boys has some great burgers, too. Also, most places have at least one great chicken sandwich, even though they're not technically burgers.
