Craig Th Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 And be opened by what? Hollywood is SOOO much better than Blockbuster.
Scroby Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Maybe Movie Gallery, thats what bought them out. Blockbuster almost did buy Hollywood video but Movie Gallery got the company at the last second.
Guest Hotbutter Spoontoaster Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 I consider the first Suffering to be a god damned masterpeice. The sequel? Not so much, but still worth playing. The ending you get in the first game determines the storyline of the second game, somewhat. Cool, thanks.
Justice Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 I find it almost disturbing how much I like NCAA Football '07 more than I like Madden '07. I mean, I like a few of the Madden features a lot better (Run controls in this last edition were fantastic in my opinion), but things like the 'Hall of Famer' Mode slowed my game to a crawl and frankly were miserably implimented. I dunno what it is about it, but Madden just seems so damned stale, while everything I play in NCAA seems fresher. Anyone else get this feeling?

I haven't spent much time with either, as I much prefer the 2K engine, but I did notice when we had it at the store that NCAA sounded much smoother and less choppy audio wise than Madden, at least on the PS2
Lightning Flik Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 NCAA usually brings me back. But I think its more because that you can pick any team and its never the same type of game. Whereas you pretty much run the same offenses, the same players, and everything with Madden. Also you don't have a budget Hell, I'm running a dynasty where I haven't lost in like 50+ games, winning the BCS twice in a row, and I got SHAFTED during the voting for my third year: stuck playing the Rose Bowl which I won. I think things like that add to overall enjoyment.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 I liked NCAA and Madden both. However my preference should be clear when it was NCAA that I traded in, keeping Madden.
Boner Kawanger Posted November 17, 2006 Report Posted November 17, 2006 Don't know if this is at every K-Mart, but I bought Super Monkey Ball 2 out of their clearance box for $2 (yes, two bucks) today.
Masked Man of Mystery Posted November 17, 2006 Report Posted November 17, 2006 Does anyone happen to know if such a thing as a translation patch exists for the Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 Rom?
Guest Hotbutter Spoontoaster Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 I traded in Resident Evil 4, Tekken 4, Tekken 5, and The Warriors today for $22, and got God of War for $18. I've only played the first 2-3 hours of it, but oh my, this game is awesome. I can't wait for God of War II in March 2007. I beat God of War. I really liked it, although it is way short. Only took me 9 hours total game time.
CanadianGuitarist Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 Anyone seen the WWE Power 25 DVD game at 7-11? Thoughts?
Golgo 13 Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 Does anyone happen to know if such a thing as a translation patch exists for the Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 Rom? Basically only for the menus. I don't remember where I got it from though.
Guest Hotbutter Spoontoaster Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 Some Targets are selling the Premium Xbox 360 for $349.99, for anyone who was thinking of buying one.
razazteca Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 Legend of Zelda vs Kingdom Hearts those crazy cosplay kids at it again.
devo Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 Oh dear. I can appreciate cosplay as much as the next nerd (and have actually taken part in the custom myself), but I really wish they'd keep it to the costumes (which are fantastic, admittedly). Visions of the hilarious KH cosplay performance featured in the first G-Phoria are fresh in my mind once more. Ugh.
bobobrazil1984 Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 uh wow. The music on that is ass.
Craig Th Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 I just got Gears of War and this game is amazing.
Hank Kingsley Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 Instead of dropping hundreds on a new system and games, I think I'm just going to prey on the cheap (and huge) assembly of awesome games now available for Xbox. Since I haven't really played it (or bought a new game) in at least a year or two, I can pick up GTA: San Andreas, Call of Duty, PGR2, etc. Bring it on.
Craig Th Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 I rented the Sopranos game and as of right now, it sucks. You start out the game getting sandwich orders from everyone . And you play as Joey, Big Pussy's son, which is kind of silly because this must be 10 years in the future as Big Pussy's son was like 10 or something.
KingPK Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 http://pylexpert.robertsearcy.info/ Remember that old Press Your Luck game that Crossbearer Software came out with a few years ago? The link goes to an updated version that is absolutely awesome.
Use Your Illusion Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 The more Raven keep making these awesome Marvel dungeon crawlers, the more I'm going to buy them because they are just so much fun. I've recently bought Marvel: Ultimate Alliance for my PSP and it's all kinds of cool, making all the right improvements over X-Men Legends II. I just took out Mephisto after Blackheart totalled all of my team bar Wolverine. I love you, Logan.
bobobrazil1984 Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 Anyone here ever used one of those little USB adapters to play PC stuff with a PS2 controller? Do they tend to work well? I picked one up for a couple of bucks on ebay, i'm hoping to play some emulators, maybe a PC game or two that were too pain in the ass to play with keyboards.
The Man in Blak Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 I've got one that I used to hook a PS2 controller up with my laptop - I think it's called a SuperJoyBox or something equally as ludicrous. It was a great pickup and I never had any issues with it - playing Super Mario 64 with a Dual Shock Pro is a trip.
Hawkius Maximus Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 I bought one off Ebay for a grand total of SIX dollars with S&H. Fucking fantastic. Even has two slots for two controllers. Probably the best thing I've ever bought off Ebay.
Lightning Flik Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Why is it that a team in NCAA2007 with a shitty schedule that only has 3 "rough" games against teams with .500 or better gets a top class bowl game? Is it just because I'm playing in the Big East and won the division (quite handly), or is it because I was undefeated? I'm really having a hard time justifing my Orange Bowl game I got against Virginia Tech, since I beat up a West Virginia team that had a depleted roster, Ottawa Aces team that I nearly fucking gave the game away to via fumbles (6 in total: two by the QB, two by the HB, one by the TE, one by #2WR), and a Louisville team that kept me scoreless for nearly two quarters (longest I was held without scoring, they even scored first).
Guest NYankees Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Is Blizzard ever going to release WOW for the PS3 or Xbox 360. I would hate to have to buy a new computer just to play the game. If they aren't are there any games comparable to WOW that are coming out for the PS3 or Xbox 360.
The Man in Blak Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 I highly doubt it - FFXI was developed with both consoles and PCs and mind, but the same can't be said for WoW. Converting the WoW interface into something that you could navigate with a controller is an extremely tall order that I doubt Blizzard's willing to undertake, just to increase their user base by a marginal percentage.

It's a messed-up BCS system in 07; the Big East winner automatically goes to the Orange Bowl like they used to, while in reality they just get an automatic at-large.
Anya Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 Oh wow Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection is coming to PS3!!! It's an arcade port with a few extras. What's really shocking is that it's going to be a downloadable game. I am so hyped! GOTY ONLY ON PS3! Sell your Wiis and 360s the console war is over.....

Might explain some things though, yet still. That's all sorts of messed. I don't wanna get an automatic Orange Bowl if I win Big East... Sadly though, my card corrupted so I lost my saves and had to restart from scratch. Went back to a ball controll team for Toronto Crusaders (and Ottawa Aces as the same), but decided to amuse myself by creating a 5'5 HB and having him be the starter. He's so small and fast (being smaller make'em faster, for whatever reason) that he just finds the holes and breaks free but fuck it when he gets hit, 'cause man, he drops like a rock. I'm so drafting him. And I don't like my "things to accomplish list" this time around: Beat West Virginia (its my rival, stupid game not letting me take Ottawa), achieve bowl bid, beat a team with 5 or 6 prestige. For a B- overall team, that's not gonna be an easy task. I can probably get the bowl bid, but my only 5 or 6 presitge team I'm facing is West Virginia and Louisville (I think). If I don't complete my goals, what's the likelihood of being fired? Because I got a bad feeling here that WV is the only team that is 5 or 6 stars.
