You KNOW it was a work because Kane and Snitsky were conveniently brawling in the crowd giving Matt the opportunity to do the run in.

I'm not saying the firing 3 months ago was a work, just tonight.

"Did Cena ever get taken away from the ring in handcuffs by police or backstage officials?"

Yes. The Smackdown before Wrestlemania 21, JBL had Cena arrested and taken away.

So I still don't know was that a shoot, because it sure as hell looked like it.

For example: the anouncer were rather quite, also they tackled him real fucking hard, and the announcer act like nothing happened after they came back from commercial.

Need we reiterate

They let the mic stay live

He was on camera a full 3 minutes afterwards

Kane/Snitsky conveniently left ringside.

They also waited for him to grab a microphone so that he could talk, followed him with a camera, and failed to throw him out after he first attacked Edge, conveniently during the 30 seconds Edge was televised backstage.

This does beg an interesting question though. With the general wrestling thread about fans who think "title matches are real", etc., etc., how many fans do you think believed this was a shoot? I bet it's higher than you'd think, somewhere in the 20-25% range.

Can you imagine what would've happened if Kane and Snitsky didn't brawl to the back?? It would've been out of control! Matt is so lucky!

I got to give it to the WWE, they have learned to utilize the internet and these boards, and lets face it..They got 99.99% of us to believe it was all real. But the major question is where do they go from here? Most of those Arena fans were only chanting "We want Matt" to piss off Lita & Edge not because they actually want Matt back. So unless they pull the trigger on Matt quickly he's destined to go back to Mid-Cardem.

I mean come on. I read the thread about him being backstage and I kept thinking myself it was bullshit.

Then once Vince went with Y2J/Cena at Summerslam I KNEW Matt was there. Every reporter had Edge/Cena at SS. Once Eric made Cena/Y2J that left no one for Edge. It was that simple. I wasn't even surprised by the attack.

Well, I'm pretty sure that it was real. They just heard the "We Want Matt" chants at all the arenas, and decided they might be able to make a successful angle out of the whole thing, so they made it worth Matt's while to come back.

I can't honestly believe that they planned this whole thing out over 3 months ago.

What PROBABLY happened was that management realized after the weeks and weeks of "we want Matt" chants that maybe the crowd actually wanted Matt. They did the titantron gag during the wedding segment as a trail balloon. Of course it got a monster pop, and THEN the decision was made to bring him back.

Well executed re-debut of Matt. You could see the crowd is already behind the guy.

I like the suggestion to keep Matt as sort of an outsider the next few weeks and even making their first match at Summerslam (you know it'll come to that) an unsanctioned street fight of some kind. Outsider Matt has more of a rebel feel as opposed to the forced rebel thing they are trying with Cena and Bischoff.

Matt coming back also explains why they are going with Jericho/Cena instead of Cena/Edge, which I'm OK with.
