Guest karlitoapple Posted August 14, 2005 Report Posted August 14, 2005 pwinsider is reporting that Frankie Kazarian looks to be on his way out of WWE.
LucharesuFan619 Posted August 14, 2005 Report Posted August 14, 2005 At least he lasted longer than Brian Christopher's second go-around...
PsychoDriver Posted August 14, 2005 Report Posted August 14, 2005 Wha? Wow... I wonder why. He seemed to be doing pretty good. Oh well... to look on the bright side, means more Frankie in PWG.
RedJed Posted August 14, 2005 Report Posted August 14, 2005 Wonder what the story is there - he was getting a slow push on Velocity but strong, especially since he just beat London over the weekend. Probably best idea is for him to go back to TNA and team back up with Michael Shane
Guest Desperate Housewife Posted August 14, 2005 Report Posted August 14, 2005 What the hell is going on??? I loved the guy's stuff. And I seriously doubt the WWE would give him an actual push, then release him, so he either A -Did something absolutely major stupid backstage -Asked for his release. Maybe he just didnt like shower time with JBL.
razazteca Posted August 14, 2005 Report Posted August 14, 2005 So were they worried that he would take all of Randy Orton's fans or what?
Mecha Mummy Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 Orton has fans? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fourteen year old girls on AOL wrestling message boards.
Lil' Bitch Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 Probably because of WWE's "Stop doing that really cool shit and use our boring wrestling style" bullshit.
Adam Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 I think there was something on the ROH boards about WWE asking him to cut his hair, and when he said no they gave him his release.
Scroby Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 Is there any proof to this? None of this really makes any sense.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 I'm sure this is old 'news', that has long since been disproven.
Placebo Effect Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 I'm sure this is old 'news', that has long since been disproven. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> WWE RELEASING ANOTHER CRUISERWEIGHT? by Buck Woodward @ 6:59:00 PM on 8/14/2005 Word was going around today, and Mike Johnson has confirmed from two separate sources, that Frankie Kazarian is parting ways with World Wrestling Entertainment. We're not sure if it is a situation where Kazarian has asked to be let go, or if WWE has decided to end their relationship. Kazarian, who made a name for himself with TNA before signing with WWE, reportedly asked for his release a little over a month ago when WWE was not using him, despite having him signed to a deal. He made his WWE television debut on the July 16th edition of Velocity, defeating Nunzio. Since then, he has been a regular on the Saturday night program, defeating Scotty 2 Hotty, Funaki, and, last night, Paul London.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 I'm positive this was reported weeks ago.
BruiserKC Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 Kazarian looks good from what I've seen so far. I couldn't picture Vince getting tired of him so fast. Then again...Ultimo Dragon was already out of favor with the McMahon clan before he even wrestled his first match.
Placebo Effect Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 I'm positive this was reported weeks ago. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> reportedly asked for his release a little over a month ago when WWE was not using him, despite having him signed to a deal. We'll see tomorrow if WWE.com posts a blurb about it.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 If he asked for his release a month ago and still hasn't got it, then he either isn't going anywhere, or management is so disorganized, that Johnny Ace still hasn't made the call.
Dobbs 3K Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 I haven't seen him at all, since I never catch Velocity.
DrVenkman PhD Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 A caller, who sounded very well spoken and an all around smart guy, asked Meltzer on the radio show tonight about this. Meltzer confirmed it to be accurate but didn't have all the details. From what he knew, Frankie pitched an idea to a writer who said "Are you here for a lights out match?".
claydude14 Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 Damn it, anyone have his entrance music before he leaves? I love that shit.
Guest *KNK* Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 According to Frankie's webmaster in the rohchat room, Frankie left because of something WWE wanted him to do that he refused to do.
Guest karlitoapple Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 I read somewhere tonight that they asked to him to cut his hair.
Guest JMA Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 I don't watch Velocity so I haven't yet seen Kazarian in WWE (I've seen him in TNA, though). It sucks that he's leaving so early. Then again, he probably has a good reason if he's willing to turn down all that money and exposure.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 I read somewhere tonight that they asked to him to cut his hair. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Please don't tell me they thought he looked like Triple H.
Guest JMA Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 I read somewhere tonight that they asked to him to cut his hair. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's a joke, right? I can't even tell any more.
CanadianChick Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 It can't be something as petty as hair cutting. I doubt that someone would risk their job over their hair.
gWIL Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 Orton has fans? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Me. and 14 year old girls. He's great as a heel.
Golgo 13 Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 I'm not sure about TNA. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that he left on bad terms. From what he knew, Frankie pitched an idea to a writer who said "Are you here for a lights out match?" So, it's probably either this or refusing to go along with cutting his hair. Truthfully, unless Meltzer was joking, I can actually see this as being more likely, sadly.
Guest nokia Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 Meltzer just said the story he heard was that Kazarian went to a writer to pitch an idea for his character, and the writer pretty much looked at him like, "You work here?", so he knew he was going nowhere also they've asked him to cut his hair.....
