Guest *KNK* Report post Posted August 20, 2005 Just got my tickets. Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein, Bayside, and Aiden at Starland Ballroom on December 3rd. It's too far away... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You brought tickets for a show thats in december...in mid-august? Looking at that line up, it's not like they were going to sell out. as it were, I attended 10 concerts and 2 festivals (Gigantour and Ozzfest) this summer and I'm basically burned out and would only go to shows within good range (i.e if more then 50 miles away, Im not going to bother) Looking at my local area's shows for the next month or so Meh, it's mostly all emo bands. I might see BLS depending on whose opening and if tickets arent over 15 bucks. Henry Rollins, I never seen him live and I heard he's always interesting to see... that's all really...pretty weak fall/winter line up this time.

Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2005 Tomorrow I'm going to a show that was created thanks to the cancelation of Hellfest. It's nine bands, but I'm only showing up to see Comeback Kid, Emery, Norma Jean (I'm dreading sitting through them), From Autumn to Ashes, and Rise Against. On the 26th I'm seeing Seether, Crossfade, and Dark New Day. Cold and Smile Empty Soul may be fun in September. The awesome Stellastarr* is doing a headlining show in early October. I'll go depending on the opening band(s). In October I'll be seeing Trapt, although I'll sadly have to hear Blindside first. Cypress Hill is also going to be here in October, but I'm not sure if I want to blow a Friday night on them. I'm thinking about these shows: Stratovarius/Into Eternity, Our Lady Peace, and Life of Agony/Brand New Sin.
Darthtiki 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2005 I'm going to Garbage in SF on 9/10, I'd go see them the next week at Inland Invasion but I'd rather spend my day at Disneyland. I'm hoping that I can win tix for U2 in Oakland in November

Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2005 I'm going to Seattle's annual Labor Day weekend music/art/other stuff festival, Bumbershoot, for at least the first three days. On those first three days I intend to see Garbage, the New York Dolls, Digable Planets, the Pharcyde, Common, Talib Kweli, Elvis Costello, Harvey Danger, Visqueen, and Pretty Girls Make Graves, and possibly The Posies and Billy Preston as well. King Kamala 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2005 I know they aren't too popular on this board, but I'm excited that I'm seeing U2 at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston on October 3rd. I got floor seats too. Although its not technically a concert, I'm seeing Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood from Whose Line Is It Anyways? ten days after U2. I'm superexcited for that one too. Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2005 So I take it that the decemberists are worth the trip to see? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's my understanding. The NRP All Songs Considered website has a stream of the last concert they played in D.C., if you want a taste. New York Dolls is a possibility, depending on ticket price. I think tickets were something like $40 when they played the 9:30 Club a couple weeks ago. Yuck.
snuffbox 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2005 Anybody going to the upcoming Our Lady Peace shows? NIN tour? Ministy/RevCo next year? The one show coming up I really want to see is Antony & The Johnsons and CocoRosie.

I think tickets were something like $40 when they played the 9:30 Club a couple weeks ago. Yuck. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, my. It'll probably be close to that here, as they'll be playing the House of Blues. And charging that much is ridiculous when you consider I'm paying half that to see Gang of Four, and they have all their original members!
