Mole Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 Why is Cruel Intentions on ABC Family? How is that a FAMILY movie?
JHawk Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 Because ABC Family executives like the love between the stepbrother and stepsister. it shows quality family values. ... What?
Giuseppe Zangara Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair making out gave me a boner, in spite of me never finding either particularly attractive.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 If you had replaced either of them with Reese Witherspoon, we'd be talking about the best movie ever.
Big McLargeHuge Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 Was anyone else happy when Ryan Phillipe's character gets run over at the end?
Guest Vitamin X Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair making out gave me a boner, in spite of me never finding either particularly attractive. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree about not finding either attractive, but Sarah Michelle Gellar did look pretty good in this one. Kind of like how Julia Stiles looks pretty pedestrian in every movie I've seen her in, except for A Guy Thing.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 I thought the ending was bad, but then I guess they weren't gonna have those guys engage in a sword fight like they did in Dangerous Liaisons. And, for the record, let's strike that goony-looking weirdo Gellar out of the make out scene and have Witherspoon and the sometimes hot Blair go at it.
Mole Posted August 27, 2005 Author Report Posted August 27, 2005 Which is why the movie SHOULDN'T be on ABC Family.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 It was on HDNet a week ago or so, uncut and in somewhat HD Glory.
JasonX Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 Why is Cruel Intentions on ABC Family? How is that a FAMILY movie? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ABC Family has jackshit to do with family friendly programming. It's a ghetto for Disney to show old sitcoms, cartoons, and movies and make a cheap buck as a result.

razazteca Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 You think that is bad.....Disney Channel has an orginal Tom Green tv movie "Bob the Butler" to hit the regular rotation soon.
Spaceman Spiff Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 If you had replaced either of them with Reese Witherspoon, we'd be talking about the best movie ever. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I find SMG overrated, but I'd definitely take her over Reese.
Matt Young Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 Reese Witherspoon>>>>Sarah Michelle Gellar>>>>Selma Blair
Nightfall Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 So did anyone catch this on ABC Family? I was going to try to catch it to see what they cut out but I had to work. If anyone here did see it, what parts were left in that you feel should have been cut out?

If anyone here did see it, what parts were left in that you feel should have been cut out? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If I know Disney, they just aired the fucking TV edit that every other fucking channel shows whenever they air Cruel Intentions. Meaning they bleeped the foul language and added the scene where Selma Blair's character's mom buys Katherine a dress as a reward for telling her that her daughter was lusting after a black man and that everything else is uncut.
daileyxplanet Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 There are two other Cruel Intentions, both trying to rip off an already crappy storyline.
Guest El Satanico Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 It depends on which SMG. She looked better with baby fat

nl5xsk1 Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 Blair's the hottest of the three. Witherspoon's good but not great. SMG is very overrated. There are two other Cruel Intentions, both trying to rip off an already crappy storyline. Dangerous Liaisons is a crappy storyline? I disagree.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 Dangerous Liaisons is solid. And it has Uma Thurman when she was 18 and hot. Remember when she used to be hot? I do. Valmont came out around the same time as DL and is based off the same source material. Never seen it, though.
Nighthawk Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 The hottest thing Reese Witherspoon ever did was talk dirty in her normal speaking voice in Election.
The Tino Standard Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 The hottest thing Reese Witherspoon ever did was talk dirty in her normal speaking voice in Election. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That movie is FANTASTIC.
Richard Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 Well they're all shitty actresses if that matters at all.
Damaramu Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 This movie disappointed me greatly. I was expecting some titties or something and all I get is Ryan Phillipe's ass.
fazzle Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 The hottest thing Reese Witherspoon ever did was talk dirty in her normal speaking voice in Election. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I disagree. Her topless scene in Twilight is better
SuperJerk Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 Dangerous Liaisons is solid. And it has Uma Thurman when she was 18 and hot. Remember when she used to be hot? I do. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Young Uma was in that? **runs to video store**
DCMaximo Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 Blair's the hottest of the three. Witherspoon's good but not great. SMG is very overrated. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's the order I'd put them in, although Witherspoon is exceptionally cute. Gellar does nothing for me.
Youth N Asia Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 It depends on which SMG. She looked better with baby fat <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, Buffy, season 3ish...mmmm So they didn't edit the kiss on ABC Family...but they'll axe it entirely on FX???

Valmont came out around the same time as DL and is based off the same source material. Never seen it, though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Valmont is pretty good...Meg Tilly was pretty decent looking (Jennifer is better, though), Annette Benning is always fantastic looking, even today, and it features a VERY young Fairuza Balk getting plowed by Colin Firth...I believe it came out in 89...
