razazteca 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2006 Spike tv has no faith in TNA might as well make the thursday night block 3 hours of UFC. Hour 1: Hype specials for the next big PPV think Couture vs Lindell 3 or Rich Franklin specials. Hour 2: Unleashed Hour 3: TUF
Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2006 Seems like TNA and Spike need to get on the same page a little bit more as far as scheduling issues and what Spike expects from TNA as far as ratings and such.

Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2006 There was an announcement that Spike was going to put Impact on Thurs 3/30 first run instead of the usual Saturday spot. Spike yanked the special and now they are back Head to head with the WWE HOF. The way blurb reads is like TNA wasn't even aware they were given a thursday prime time special and this news is out of the blue when in reality, it was announced at the beginning of the week. I would think knowing if your TV show is being moved, even temporarily, is kind of important to know, especially if you are in management.

Astro101 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2006 From what I've read in reports, the 3/30 special was just people pointing out something on Spike's schedule online, not like a press release or anything.
TNABaddboi 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2006 From what I've read in reports, the 3/30 special was just people pointing out something on Spike's schedule online, not like a press release or anything. Yeah, I'm pretty positive there was never an official annoucement. Like Astro said, this was a screw-up on Spike's website that was later corrected.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2006 Let's put it this way. If we knew about it, then TNA should have known about it.

Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 After watching Simond Diamond do a little commentary with Tenay and West during the Ozzie Guillen chairshot angle, I think Simon should seriously consider lobbying to be the heel in a 3 man announce team. As a lot of people have said and I agree, people are tired of 2 face announcers doing the tired face announcer screaming deal. Simon is not bad from that little bit I've seen and I think would help freshen up the announce team dynamic (or lack thereof)
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 I heard a lil bit of Simons commentary and that was the first thought that came to my head after hearing it.

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 Was Tenay calling Borash "JB" and Don West "DW" an attempt to sound hip?
razazteca 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 Given the right push/material Shane Douglas could be the greatest heel announcer ever. Was Tenay calling Borash "JB" and Don West "DW" an attempt to sound hip? That has to be a case of the cuecard/teleprompter person being lazy or taunting him. Tenay is only good at being the professor character, there is no need for him to try to add anything new to the heel/face dynamics and for the love of gawd all of the announcers need to stop making the damn goofy facials. Jebus 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 From Meltzer: TNA Impact did another 0.9 rating on Saturday night... that seems to be the minimum rating for Impact with the Stinger
TNABaddboi 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2006 New time change commercial: http://www.tnawrestling.com/impact/index.html I think they aired this the first time on last Saturday's show. IMO, it's one of the better commercials they've ever produced. It really stands out from most of the "a genesis is coming...dream come true" commercials they do whenever they get a new audience. Maztinho 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2006 James Mitchel casually knocking shit over in a grocery store is fucking bizarre. I was thinking that myself. GODSON 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2006 I guess that 2 hour, live every other week WGN deal don't look so bad now from a fan perspective unless you live in a city that don't get WGN. Hopefully when the TUF season is over, TNA will get that extra hour. TNA is just not capable of putting on a good 1 hour show on a consistent basis. I believe a two hour weekly TNA show would cover up most of their flaws.

Red Baron 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2006 Eric Young is so awesome. He's the only one in the ring with Sting, and next thing you know is that he's gone from the fight while others are beating on Sting. And the top rope elbow onto D'von through a table. Eric Young is the future of TNA.
