LOS ANGELES, CA, United States (UPI) -- The stars of the NBC series 'The Office' will be visited next season by the actors who played their roles in the original British version of the show.

The New York Post reports Ben Zimmerman, the executive producer of NBC`s 'Office,' has said that some cast members from the BBC version of the show will appear in an episode of the U.S. comedy.

'There`s a lot of love between (the casts and crews) of the two versions of the show,' he told the paper.

It is not known whether the BBC actors will reprise their roles in the cross-over episode, but likely it will not include the British version`s creator and star, Ricky Gervais, the Post said.

'We`re going to save the big man for now,' Zimmerman said.

With the U.S. version of the show getting five Emmy nominations last week and the BBC version having won numerous British TV awards and a Golden Globe for best comedy series, any cross-over will likely reward fans of both versions.

You know, in theory, it would actually be believable for Ricky Gervais as the David Brent character to regularly show up on the US version of The Office. What's to stop them from doing so, if Ricky ended up wanting to do it? I'm sure they could come up with something clever that led him to the US.

Perhaps he moved here for one reason or another, NY maybe, and after hearing about a documentary crew filming an office in the states just like they did at his office, he decides to find some way to weasel himself back in front of the camera, since he's such a camera hog and loves the exposure?

Anyway, I love the news of the original Office cast showing up. I've been begging for that since day one, so I can't wait to see what they come up for it.

The first two Webisodes are on NBC. Not great, but could have been worse. I like that there is a story that they will seem to follow till the end of them.

It would be great if the $3,000 was the x-mas bonus Michael got, and it turns out he gave it to himself.

I got the Dwight bobble head already. For some reason I decided a few years ago to collect the stupid things, so of course i had to get this one. But in all honesty, it is the best looking bobblehead I've seen. Comes on a nice hard wood base and actually looks like him.

What the hell is that from? Besides that, anybody know where you can get a good deal on the first season. I find it, but it's nearly 25 bucks at the usual stores.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - NBC's "The Office" is adding some new drones.

Ed Helms, a correspondent on "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart," and Charles "Chip" Esten, formerly of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?," have joined the cast of NBC's quirky comedy.

Additionally, former "Boston Public" co-star Rashida Jones has landed a potential recurring role.

Helms and Jones will play employees at the Scranton, Pa., regional office of the Dunder Mifflin paper supply company where the series is set.

Esten will play Josh Porter, the regional manager at another branch of Dunder Mifflin. He originated the character in the "Valentine's Day" episode this past season.

The stint on "The Office" reunites Helms with series star Steve Carell. Helms, who has been at "The Daily Show" since 2002, worked alongside fellow "Daily Show" correspondent Carell for three years before Carell left the hit Comedy Central series in 2005 to do "The Office." Helms also will appear in Carell's next feature, "Evan Almighty."

Jones, whose recent credits include the TNT drama series "Wanted," also appeared in the feature "Little Black Book."

Head to Circuit City right now if interested. It's ringing up for $17.99 and this is apparently the case across the country. The sales price is supposed to be $29.99 this week, so either the sale or available sets aren't gonna last more than a day or two, if that.

FYI, there is some bonus material that is only being put on the DVD's that are sold at Target. It's behind the scenes action that Jenna filmed during the Booze Cruise episode.

Don't know if that matters to anyone, but I figure might as well get all you can.

I got it this morning for $35 and then returned it when I returned home and saw this stuff about it being $18 at CC. The ads had all been relatively close, including CC's, so I didn't mind spending a little more for the bonus disc set. But a video blog certainly isn't worth almost twice the amount.

I picked this up at CC for $17.99 also. This is such an awesome set, the deleted scenes are awesome so far. I have a huge crush on Pam (Jenna) also, but then again most guys who watch the show seem to start that also. For any of you who want to see the bonus footage that is on the Target disc, just go here:

I've watched the first three episodes so far, once again, and it seems even funnier now on DVD than it did when I first watched them on TV. Sexual Harassment is television perfection. The wait for season 3 hurts.

I ordered a Dwigt bobblehead a week or two ago, but it isn't shipping until the first part of Oct. I hear that they are selling far more of them than they ever expected to.
