CanadianChris Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 What's the reason behind there not being a new episode last week? NCAA Tournament. Traditionally, they only air the sitcoms that normally air at 8pm and 9pm before the championship game. Because Big Bang Theory was moved to 8 after the strike, they aired a repeat of that.
MDH257 Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Since it hasn't been posted here yet, here's the audio to Sandcastles in the Sand. Sandcastles in the Sand
BlackFlagg Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 I knew that was gonna happen eventually....but still, damn...
Garth Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 Best bit of the new Robin Sparkles video: 'I'm on the pill now' I'm not sure how I feel about the Robin/Barney thing. Interested to see where they take it though. So long as they don't use it to humanise Barney and give him morals or some such.
CanadianChris Posted April 25, 2008 Report Posted April 25, 2008 Next week should be fun. We find out how the goat got into Ted's bathroom on his 30th birthday.
DrVenkman PhD Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 THey just love their cliffhangers don't they. Sounds like Robin ends up living with Ted again by the time he's 31. Good episode though, Barney always brings the good stuff.
CanadianChris Posted May 13, 2008 Report Posted May 13, 2008 Well, if the fact that www.lilyandmarshallselltheirstuff.com is down due to excess web traffic is any indication, the show looks to be in good shape.
KingPK Posted May 13, 2008 Report Posted May 13, 2008 That wasn't the season finale was it? If it was, it's a weak way to end things.
bob_barron Posted May 13, 2008 Report Posted May 13, 2008 No, it was not. The season finale is next week
Steviekick Posted May 13, 2008 Report Posted May 13, 2008 Decent enough episode. I can't wait for the website to be back up.
DrVenkman PhD Posted May 13, 2008 Report Posted May 13, 2008 http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/showtracke...nts-cbs-re.html My, what a difference a little Britney makes. A couple of months ago, word on the street -- well, on the sound stages -- was that CBS viewers would probably never get to finish the "How I Met Your Mother" story unless, of course, Fox picked the series up, which was part of the rumor. The youngest-skewing show on CBS has never broken out, the thinking goes, because it's on the wrong network. Enter: Britney Spears. Tonight she appears in the single-camera comedy for the second time. Her first visit gave the show its highest ratings ever and more buzz than Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) could ever muster, no matter how legendary he is. (And believe us, he is.) Well, CBS has come to its senses and renewed the series for next fall. It also picked up "The Unit," which stars Dennis Haysbert and is run by Shawn Ryan ("The Shield"). -- Maria Elena Fernandez
CanadianChris Posted May 13, 2008 Report Posted May 13, 2008 Oh, thank God. I don't know what I would've done if this show was cancelled without a resolution.
Exslade ZX Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 So at first viewing, I guess I wasn't really paying attention as I thought Barney was just sort of reminiscing about the whole gang there, and thinking he 'loved his friends'. Didn't see all the focus was on Robin. Barney's finally found the girl who could tame him...? Interesting. And it's also been obvious for awhile the two would make a great couple. As shown when Robin filled in, as Barney's bro.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 I just watched the whole third season in the last couple days (missed it when they aired) and I forgot how much I do like this show. The Barney look was awesome. Curious where they'll take it. I'd suspect to see the first episodes of next year be him telling stories of more one night stands until the gang catches on that he hasn't slept with anyone since the accident. That's booking 101!
Garth Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 I actually prefer to watch tv series like that, just sit down and watch the whole thing in one big block. They've set up some good stuff for the new season already which needs resolving in the Ted proposel and Barney/Robin. There's still the underlying issue of Marhall and Lily's apartment getting fixed and them finally getting settled there. That leaves Ted needing a new housemate and the change in that Marshall is all the way across town now. Can't wait.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 That was typical Ted. Chase the girl down, get her, nail her, dump her when things get serious and then go crawling back. Come on, man! So...who thinks the new season will open up with Ted getting dumped?
CanadianChris Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 I really hope so. I don't want to see a whole bunch of wedding planning episodes for a wedding that's not going to happen. Just dump him right off the bat and get it over with.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 My guesses are that next year will start with Ted getting dumped. That way when Marshall and Lily do move out, and Barney pursues Robin...Ted will be left miserable and alone. They need at least one episode where no one has any time for him. TED MUST HIT THE BOTTOM!!!

HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 Ted needs to grow the break-up beard back.
Epic Reine Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 Just started watching this. Borrowed season 1 from my friend last weekend and have been watching all this week. Just finished the episode where Ted wants to bring Robin to his friend's wedding but they won't let him but she winds up not going anyway. I actually like the show and I never knew Neil Patrick Harris and Alyson Hannigan could be this funny.
JohnnyBlaze Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 just an fyi...if you go to the cbs site, theres and HD gallery section where you can watch various clips and some full episodes of how i met your mother...720p quality...just saw this the other day...think cbs just added it recently.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Season 4 Premier TONIGHT! Just a reminder, in the seasons 3 finale, Ted proposed to Stella (Sarah Chalke of Scrubs fame) and Barney realized he was in love with Robin. I predict the premier tonight will be Legend...wait for it... And some notes on Season 4, Sarah Chalke's character Stella may have a bigger role this season then originally thought. Apparently, her sister Nora (originally played by hottie Sara Paxton) is being recasted by Danneel Harris (of One Tree Hill?). Also, Jason Jones (of The Daily Show) has been casted to play Stella's ex and the father of her kid. This whole time, I figured she would just turn Ted down and be done with it, but who knows? ...DARY! Legendary!
Jaxxson Mayhem Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 I'd say Sarah Chalke will be around for a while considering she accepted the marriage proposal.
BlackFlagg Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 for anyone who missed it, like me, the full ep is up on CBS.com
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 I'd say Sarah Chalke will be around for a while considering she accepted the marriage proposal. I guess not. I really thought they were going to go the other way.
CanadianChris Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 I'd say Sarah Chalke will be around for a while considering she accepted the marriage proposal. I guess not. I really thought they were going to go the other way. It's a long season yet. I forgot how much I missed this show. Last night's episode was definitely one of their better efforts.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 I highly doubt Sarah Chalke ends up being the mother. BTW, I always forget, does Future Ted call Barney "Uncle Barney" to his kids? If so, does that mean him and "Aunt Robin" get hitched?
KingPK Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 He became "Uncle Barney" because his brother adopted a child. They really could go either way with Chalke; Scrubs is wrapping so she would be free to do another show, but if she is the mother, the main premise is basically settled and then it becomes "How Your Mother and I Had You Kids".
