strummer Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Meltzer's Impact Preview from today's update: There is also the debut tonight of a pro wrestling Hall of Famer. also, in typical cryptic Meltzer fasion he says to expect BIG TNA news by the end of the day. I would assume there is a correlation between the "Hall of Famer" and the big news. also, Impact went up to a .8 rating this week. Team 3D will miss the tapings tonight as there was a miscommunication and they are in Japan.
Jericho2000Mark Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Aren't Benoit & Heyman Observer HOF'ers?
tominator89 Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 This sounds like the debut of an old guy. What are the youngest HOFers?
Dangerous A Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Aren't Benoit & Heyman Observer HOF'ers? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> and both are still under contract to WWE.
Jericho2000Mark Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Bret? I heard they were in talks.
Dangerous A Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 The best news TNA has had to be that the rating went back to 0.8
Guest GoJoe Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Maybe Terry Funk? He spoke very highly of TNA in a recent interview, saying how much he'd like to work with the young guys. There's a Raven's House of Fun match tonight at the tapings, it would make sense for Funk to be his opponent.
Dangerous A Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 I don't want to see Funk in an in ring role. Now, if they would replace Zybyzko with Funk as GM role (I really hate the GM role BTW) I'm for it. That is if Funk is the person they are talking about.
Hawk 34 Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Are they saying Observer HOF or the fake HOF? I'll go with the Funker sentiments.
The Decemberists Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 I'd guess Funk because of the Raven angle of people from his past being brought in by Larry Z.
Fro Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Bobby Heenan is backstage at the Impact Tapings and will debut tonight and be a full-timer for TNA. I presume he will either manage or do color or both.
The Decemberists Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Bobby Heenan debuts on the Impact tapings, reportedly to managing <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But he can't really talk properly can he? Surely not well enough to manage...
Dangerous A Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Fro, if that happens, I'll do the Balki dance of joy.
pgi86 Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 I cannot tell you how happy I`ll be to see this particular Hall of famer on tv again. Let`s hope TNA finds him a good role though I kinda doubt it that it would be anything long-term.
Guest SavageRulz Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Where did the news he will be a full timer come in?
Guest Leelee Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Said person would be a great signing. Watch him work with Jarrett. Ugh.
Astro101 Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 If this HOF is true, then I will be so happy. And it is great news that TNA went back to a .8 rating. Especially during the holidays.
Guest Bulwark Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 More spoilers from tonight's taping. REALLY looking forward to the next two shows.
Rendclaw Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Has that been confirmed??? Holy shit.
gWIL Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Why would they bring him in, he's a shell of his former self.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Wow, all 3 of those "spoilers" sound horrible/pointless from PWInsider. And as for the returning HOFer, I really don't see the point. There's too many apples in the basket already.
Guest SavageRulz Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 There is no way he is going to do commentary with his voice being as had as it is with the throat cancer. He is barely understandable because of the surgery he had. Whoever reported that hasn't seen any of the WWE DVD's or the Hall of Fame ceremonies for the last two years. Also, I highly doubt TNA would sign him full time when they literally told Jimmy Hart to take a hike because he made a WWE appearance and signed a Legend's deal.
Silence Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Alex Shelley is scheduled to debut a new gimmick where he runs around with a video camera. Why must TNA constantly make Alex Shelley act like a goofball?
Jebus Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 Alex Shelley is scheduled to debut a new gimmick where he runs around with a video camera. Why must TNA constantly make Alex Shelley act like a goofball? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Let's be happy that Alex has a character and, while it doesn't sound "OMG AWESOME~!", at least it doesn't make me shake my head in disbelief and disappointment like when new WWE gimmicks are spoiled (i.e.: Tourette's Syndrome, Fitness Guru, Retard, Quasi-terrorist, Dicks, etc.)
Precious Roy Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 Terry Funk was in TNA already, wasn't he? I think he wrestled a few hardcore matches and was later part of the Championship committe. Or am I imagining things?
