UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted December 18, 2005 Report Posted December 18, 2005 Check this out, pretty funny. Lazy Sunday
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 18, 2005 Report Posted December 18, 2005 It's all about the Hamiltons baby, Throw the snacks in the bag and I'm ghost like Swayze. So good.
Mik Posted December 19, 2005 Report Posted December 19, 2005 I thought last night's Saturday Night Live was the funniest I've seen in a long, long time, and this was one of the best parts.
snuffbox Posted December 19, 2005 Report Posted December 19, 2005 That was defintily the best episode Ive seen in a long time. The rap, Tenacious D, and Neil motherfucking Young...good stuff.
Spaceman Spiff Posted December 19, 2005 Report Posted December 19, 2005 2! No! 6! No! 12! BAKER'S DOZEN!
smh810 Posted December 19, 2005 Report Posted December 19, 2005 If anyone has a torrent of last night's SNL please let me know...thanks.
ZGangsta Posted December 19, 2005 Report Posted December 19, 2005 Freakin' Amazing! That was so awesome. "Pass the Chronic-WHAT-cles of Narnia" deserves to go down into the pop culture phrase lexicon as much as "needs more cowbell" has. "I love those cupcakes like McAdams love Gosling" "2 no 6 no 12 BAKER'S DOZEN" "You can call us Aaron Burr from the way we're droppin' Hamiltons" All brilliant. I seem to remember another rap featuring Chris Parnell about his date with Britney Spears a few years ago that killed me as well.
Chazz Posted December 19, 2005 Report Posted December 19, 2005 Best Digital Short Ever. Speaking of SNL, where's Barron's report at?
Spaceman Spiff Posted December 19, 2005 Report Posted December 19, 2005 "You can call us Aaron Burr from the way we're droppin' Hamiltons" Oh, shit, I missed that one. That's fantastic.
Jericholic82 Posted December 19, 2005 Report Posted December 19, 2005 I missed it, I was seeing King Kong on sat night. Of course I missed a good one
Aero Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 (edited) I must have been in the minority that thought the episode as a whole was horrible... I mean, come on... a skit about wind coming through a door? The digital short was hilarious though. Edited December 20, 2005 by Aero
Mik Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 Word of the skit is spreading. It was referenced in an article I read on ESPN.com this morning.
dubq Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 Oh. Weed humor. That was so amazingly unfunny.
bob_barron Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 The skit wasn't weed humour though.
Dobbs 3K Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 Well, "pass the Chronic..." is sort of a weed reference, but it was more of a play on words, since they were obviously parodying typical rap videos. The skit didn't have the guys smoking joints or anything. I get annoyed by drug references in comedy too, though. Everyone wants to be Dave Chappelle I guess.
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 I thought it was geek humour.
dubq Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 (edited) The skit wasn't weed humour though. Pass the chronic, and eating a lot of cupcakes. Yeah, that's not weed humor is it? I don't have a problem with weed humor. I just think it's overdone and stupid. Edited December 20, 2005 by vivisectvi
smh810 Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 Pass the chronic, and eating a lot of cupcakes. Yeah, that's not weed humor is it? I don't have a problem with weed humor. I just think it's overdone and stupid. Wrong. It's geek pop-culture humor the "chronic" is simply wordplay.

I don't have a problem with weed humor. I just think it's overdone and stupid. You have a problem with weed humor. You cant even tell the difference between a Beatie Boys-esque wordplay/humor song and something like Cheech/Chong. Maybe you should watch John Ashcroft speeches and leave comedy to people who can, like, laugh at jokes dude.
The Mandarin Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 I thought that was terrible and I just laughed hysterically at a Mexican version of Mr. T screaming, so that has to say something about either me or the skit. T, sucka

I like comedy, douchebag, when it's funny. This skit was just stupid.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted December 21, 2005 Author Report Posted December 21, 2005 (edited) The point of this skit was the poke humor at the online podcasts that are seen either online or on Al Gore's new TV channel (MTV videos and podcasts that are voted onto the air by the internet.) It basically was done to not "slam" podcasts, but just make a funny one and show that you can make a music video about anything. Hence the blatant photoshop and basic video editing tricks done between lyrics, and such. I thought the chorus was catchy, but after a few watches, it's not as funny as before. My favorite part of the video is when Parnell responds (about the directions to the theatre): "THAT'S A GOOD ONE TOO." Edited December 21, 2005 by UseTheSledgehammerUh
Cran Da Maniac Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 My hunger pains be stickin like duct tape!
areacode212 Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 (edited) "Lazy Sunday" was awesome--it's not weed humor, it's NYC geek hipster humor (Magnolia Bakery cupcakes, sneaking food into overpriced movie theatres, using Google Maps, etc.). Anyway, if you want to download it, I uploaded it to Rapidshare here. You'll need FLV Player to watch it. More of that kind of thing can be found at thelonelyisland.com Edited December 21, 2005 by areacode212
SuperJerk Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 Excuse me for not getting the "geek humor" cupcake reference. I like comedy, douchebag, when it's funny. This skit was just stupid. You shouldn't bitch that something wasn't funny when you didn't even get the joke.

Good luck closet stoner.
SuperJerk Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 I showed this to a 45 year old woman at work today. She didn't get it either.
Cowboy Battlenuts Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 (edited) Jesus, all this talk about what kind of comedy it is as if comedy should be categorized beyond funny and unfunny. I thought it was funny, I don't plan to watch it 6 more times to reaffirm it's funniness or discover it never really was funny. Edited December 21, 2005 by Battlenuts
