Special K Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 I was watching UFC tonight with a friend tonight. After some Joe Rogan commentary, my friend dismissivly said 'like you've ever been in a fight, Joe Rogan.' From listening to the NewsRadio DVD's, I knew Rogan had some background in martial arts, but he was humble about it. I looked him up: "At the age of 19, he won the US Open Tae Kwon Do Championship and, as the lightweight champ, went on beat both the middle and heavy weight title holders to take home the Grand Championship." What a fuckbeast. Never would've guessed.
Lord of The Curry Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 I thought you were talking about his rep with the ladies.
Adam Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 I hadn't heard the term 'fuckbeast' until yesterday when I read this thread. Thank you.
Guest Famous Mortimer Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 Go Joe! They've got to put him in the octagon at some point.
razazteca Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 Go Joe! They've got to put him in the octagon at some point. I am happy to announce that Joe Rogan vs Eddie Bravo will happen in this very octogon next month at the Las Vegas Hardrock Cafe! The winner of this grudge match gets to be the co-host of UFC Unleashed with Mike Goldberg on Spike tv.
Carnival Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 I never come in here cuz I know nothing about MMA/UFC stuff. But I saw this thread title and had to fucking read it. Joe Rogan must be quite the bad ass. And thank you special k for the term "fuckbeast"
Guest tombstone81 Posted January 31, 2006 Report Posted January 31, 2006 That is the first time I've ever heard the term to! LOL
Prime Time Andrew Doyle Posted January 31, 2006 Report Posted January 31, 2006 "Oh Joe Rogan, You crazy"
Guest guerillagenius Posted January 31, 2006 Report Posted January 31, 2006 He was also a Tai Kwon Do teacher at a Boston area university
Guest Army Eye Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 Pretty versatile guy. Martial artist, stand up comic, reality TV show host, martial arts commentator..
The Electrifyer Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Joe Rogan vs. some MySpace challenger:
starvenger Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 Joe Rogan vs. some MySpace challenger: Joe Rogan whupping ass is fun, but it's the fact that they use "The Touch" as background music that makes this video great.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 I heard him and Wesley Snipes were suppose to fight. No Lie! Anyone else hear the same rumor?
Your Paragon of Virtue Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 Yeah they were actively pursuing it, but eventually Wesley Snipes turned it down. Wesley Snipes would have gotten his ass beat in that one. It would have been a fucking shanking and a half.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 No way! Have you seen Blade? He beat up 100000000000 Vampires, Joe Rogan would be no problem! Seriously though, does Wesley Snipes have any type of MMA training?
Rendclaw Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 Snipes has a martial arts background, but I doubt its as extensive as Rogan's.
The Buzz Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 I guess Snipes has a black belt in tae kwon do according to a few sites I saw on google, and studies various martial arts such as Karate, Kung Fu, and Capoeira . I don't know if hes experienced in grappling though.
Just call me Dan Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 He'd probably end up like Marvin Eastman. Guy was an NFL player I believe. He was knocked out cold in both of his UFC appearances I can remember. Vitor took out a HUGE chunk of his head. Just because youre athletic and have some martial arts training doesn't mean you won't get completely owned out there. I'd say Snipes would have fared just as well.
Lei Tong Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 Actually it was the CFL, and Marvin was also a high school wrestler and has trained in Muay Thai for nearly a decade. He's still not that good, though.

You'd think, then, that Snipes would go for a "traditional" martial arts match as opposed to MMA. I don't think Willie Mays Hayes is a big enough idiot to get into a fight inside the Octagon or a ring.
starvenger Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 I guess nobody else saw this but here Jonathan Baker aka Jon the Douche almost finds out that Rogan is, indeed, a fuckbeast: YouTube link
