CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2007 Who is this Stacy Dales chick and why do they keep her in a closet for 11 months until Woman's tournament time? WNBA player. She does sideline reporting for college football as well. And she's Canadian (grew up in treble's hometown of Brockville, I believe).

Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2007 American Gladiator reruns? ESPN has redeemed themselves! Nothing like seeing Billy Wirth whoop Gemini's ass in Conquer! Oh and Malibu was the shittiest Gladiator, ESPECIALLY on Cannonball, I swear he always got knocked off the pedestal. Didn't he get pretty fucked up one time? Yes. I distinctly remember Malibu getting completely fucked up on Cannonball. Malibu's been on Married with Children, and Curb your Enthusiasm.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2007 Who is Swin Cash and why is she on NBA Fastbreak? WNBA player for Detroit. I guess she's used for a female perspective. She's also one of the few good looking WNBA players. (we should make a list).

Mike wanna be 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2007 Another reason why ESPN sucks: Devoting a slot on ESPNEWS to interview...the two actors in the upcoming Blades of Glory movie.
Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted March 26, 2007 ESPNEWS had a few movie interviews this weekend. Get that shit out of there. Unfortunately, it's only a matter of time before ESPN completely fucks up their only decent channel, as well.

Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2007 Why is Dan Patrick still with ESPN? Berman, can't do anything else but I always figured Patrick would be gone by this point. Even his radio show doesn't talk about sports as much as the other ESPN shows.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2007 I might like Jaws in the MNF booth...I dunno...maybe...he, Ditka and Mort are the only one I can stand on Countdown so why not?
Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted March 26, 2007 While I like Jaworski, I'd like him to only be on NFL Matchup, and keep doing the fine work he does there. ESPN has already started turning him into a "character", by forcing him to say brash things he knows are bullshit. And working with assholes. It would only get worse on MNF. CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2007 I don't know...Jaws was on probably the best ESPN NFL broadcast of the year last year. If they go a step further and also replace Mr. Tony with Dick Vermeil, they'd have a fantastic booth.
The Man in Blak 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2007 ESPN has made it official: Jaws will be Theismann's replacement on MNF: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2812834 The assertion that Monday Night Football is ESPN's "most important property" is hilarious and sad at the same time. Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2007 I don't understand why Tony K. is even there? Why do they feel it's necessary to have a "comedy guy" in that slot? Madden and Michaels did just fine with a two man show. Granted Tirico is no Michaels, but Jaws is certainly well enough to carry the other half of it. Another retarded thing is when they have celebrities in the booth for what seems like the majority of the 2nd quarter. They add nothing to the conversation. Stallone's appearance was merely a 15 minute Rocky Balboa shell job.
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2007 Damien Cox should stop writing about hockey, or should stick writing hockey about the Leafs because that is the only thing he is good at.

There's not point in having him. Jaws can be okay. One of those the NFL gives me a boner types, so that's a negative.
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2007 I can't state this enough. The overuse of the ESPNEWS OMG~! box. It usually contains something stupid that I could simply wait to see in the scroll. "Kobe: 50 points" "Bonds: 0-2, BB" Or when they use it as a heads up to watch an interview with somebody that they're gonna lob softball questions to in order to get cliched and nothing responses. Since that was a pretty big deal, they knew people wanted to know what how he was doing. Bonds is chasing a record, regardless of how much the nation hates him. Showing who is about to appear is a logical move as it informs yet doesn't require repeating it over and over.

CBS, national network, very few frills and most think they have the best NFL coverage. ESPN, sports network, tries their damndest NOT to make the game about football. Is there any chance ESPN, or whatever asshats make the decisions there, can go under in this generation? It's incredible how much they can fuck shit up and get away with it.
