YourKock'sReallyGreat 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2009 I am almost finished with Season 1 of 24. What an awesome show. My questions for those who watch it is. What is the best season and the worst season? How is season 7 so far? Please no spoilers. How many more seasons are there going to be? I would ask in the main season 7 thread but I do not want to spoil anything. thanks. I'm back and forth between season 1 and 5 being the best. The only season I'd even consider bad is season 6, but it's worth watching at least once if you plan on catching up with the current season. The first four episodes of season 6 are really good, and then it dies, with the exception of one episode toward the later part of the season. I've been enjoying season 7 so far. It hasn't been near season 1 or 5 levels of greatness, but it's far from the worst. Everyone in the other thread seems to be in agreement that the episode that just aired was awesome for the most part. Kiefer Sutherland is signed on to an 8th season. I assume that'll probably be it, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a few more added. Do you think people would have liked season 6 more if they didn't have to wait a week in between episodes? Like how people were with Season 3 of Lost?
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2009 No, I think people would have liked season six more if it didn't start off awesome and then completely fall off with idiotic storylines like Bauer Family Reunion and the Jack/Audrey saga.
Aero 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2009 No, I think people would have liked season six more if it didn't start off awesome and then completely fall off with idiotic storylines like Bauer Family Reunion and the Jack/Audrey saga. This. Without spoiling anything specific, there's also just way too much rehashing of stuff done in previous seasons, and so many of the minor characters just come off as annoying and unlikeable, making it torture to sit through the seemingly massive amount of screen time provided to them. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2009 Nothing can really top setting off a NUKE before the middle of the god damn season either. It's impossible to top that. Impossible. Short of having Jack go back in time and kill Hilter, John Wilkes Booth and Lee Harvey Oswald all with one shot from his gun then beating the location of the Holy Grail out of one of the followers of Jesus Christ while screaming, "WHERE IS IT?!" Sadly that made the second half of the season a little undwewhelming. George Mason got some redemption though
Scroby 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2009 A few days ago I was out somewhere, I forget where, and I over heard two girls talking about the lead girl in the movie "The Shopaholic", I heard them say this... Girl 1: I heard she doesn't speak english. Girl 2: Yeah, I think she's Australian or something. It made me really sad. The dumbest thing I've ever heard in regards to films/actors was in line for Tropic Thunder, and two girls looked at the poster, pointed at Robert Downey Jr and said: Girl 1: Oh it's him from Iron Man Girl 2: I didn't know he was black, he was white in Iron Man. I've heard that from someone before as well. Except she was watching the movie...for the 2nd time.
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2009 I was surprised to learn tonight during a phone conversation with a good friend that I still find anti Barney humor hilarious. I haven't thought of the purple bastard in years but the inner eight year old tells me that the idea of inflicting pain on him is still chuckle worthy. 4hartthreat 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2009 I agree almost completely with Aero. My favorite season of 24 is season 5. I also agree that 6 is the only season that is bad but that it is still something you should watch because it has some good in it like the first 4 hours and Tom Lennox. I also think part of the reason 6 came off as so bad was because of how awesome season 5 was. To me 5 was like a culmination of everything that had been built up over the past 4 seasons. And then 6 came along trying to establish all these new characters and started super strong but then fell hard. And I don't think being able to watch all the episodes back to back without waiting would help. In fact it might even hurt. So far I have enjoyed season 7. Very glad to see the show back to form after the season 6 slump. But just to address one more thing. I am a fan of Audrey. I think she is a great character. She was perfect for Jack. The actress who played her is very good in the role. I thought she was the only good love interest Jack has ever had. And her being injected into season 6 was actually a plus for me. I really thought the finale for season 6 was strong.
MFer 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2009 Question: Is Mario Lopez really that relevant to warrant doing an E! True Hollywood Story on him? I know he's done a ton of stuff on TV but still...

King Kamala 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2009 Chelsea Handler was a lot more appealing before I found it she was only in her early-mid thirties. I thought she was a really hot forty something, now I find out she's just a pretty good looking thirty something! My brother and I are locked in an eternal argument over The Soup. He theorizes that it's a show with good writing but a terrible host, I theorize that it's a show with terrible writing but a good host. Really though, The E! Network peaked about ten years ago when it had Coming Attractions, Talk Soup, and E! True Hollywood Story profiled people like Lobster Boy, porn stars, Corey Haim, and Scotty Schwarz (best/most depressing episode ever!). Now they just seem to profile people who are actually Hollywood stars....boring!

Boner Kawanger 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2009 Think about it this way. In any universe, The Soup should be an abomination. It's clips from every show you hate. But Joel McHale is so effective at selling his disgust at the facts that these clips are popular programs and that he is forced to discuss them (on E, no less), that it drags The Soup to a really subversive level. It's like being clever enough to make fun of someone to their face: intensely rewarding.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2009 The last time I watched The Soup in Canada, it was followed by a show where Topanga made fun of people's fashion taste. My friend thought the hostess was someone who wasn't Danielle Fishel, though. I never bothered to confirm or deny this.

DMann2003 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2009 Anybody check out the new Back to the Future DVD, it's got an extra disc now with the complete Back to the Future Ride (including pre-show), granted not as cool when it isn't 5 stories high with a programmed simulator to ride in, but still cool. No Blu-Ray yet, but I don't have Blu-Ray so I don't care.
Boner Kawanger 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2009 That's honestly tempting. I loved the ride when I went to Universal nearly twenty years ago (holy shit) so much that I got the badass RC Delorean with the awesome detail of putting a removable Mr. Fusion on top of the place where the charger plugged into it. And of course, the remote control was made to look like Doc's from Part I. What a toy.
