Saw the new Michael Moore movie, Slacker Uprising. Awful, just awful. And this is coming from someone who's a pretty big fan.

If a conservative ever needs any more ammunition against him, just watch five minutes of Slacker Uprising. It's essentially ninety minutes of people fawning over Michael Moore. No wonder why he gave it away for free.

There are a lot of awful choices on that list. I read through it quickly, but a couple of things that caught my attention. Best Comedy, and no TROPIC THUNDER or PINEAPPLE EXPRESS?

Best Rock Song, someone should tell these people that APOLOGIZE is not rock, it's pop.

Entertainment Weekly has announced their Entertainers of the Year

1. Robert Downey Jr.

2. Tina Fey

3. The Dark Knight Cast

4. Blake Lively and Leighton Meester

The rest of the list can be seen here

Tina Fey got screwed, she should have won Entertainer of the Year. No brainer IMO. However She was selected Entertainer of the Year by the EW readers.

I don't know who numbers 4 and 5 are.

Leading ladies of Gossip Girl and the writer of the very popular Twilight book series. Downey Jr. is a logical choice given his success with two popular movies this year.

Just saw Quantum of Solace. More like Quantum of Bollocks. Total let-down, since Casino Royale was fantastic.

The plot's totally uninteresting, and a weak save-the-planet allegory. bad villain. Horrible action sequences, with camera cuts literally every second.

Daniel Craig's still a good choice. Bad movie overall, though.

With the introduction of Meyer to the thread, I just want to crib an Ebert line and say I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE this Twilight bullshit. When I was visiting my parents a few month's ago, I waded through overly extensive coverage of the books/movie in her Entertainment Weeklies. Coverage that included a cover story and a bad review for the final book. But I guess as long as the cast is hot in a not-so-hot kind of way and there are vapid, easily-swayed girls and lonely, fat girls who have yet to discover the Hardy Boyz there will be a market for this. I swear I overheard a girl in class saying "The books aren't very good, but I don't have anything else to read". This was in a Shakespeare class, so...

/rant. TL;DR: I hate vampire bullshit.

Downey jr, REALLY?

Don't be a hater, he had an awesome year.

Its a shame that The Soloist was moved to next year. It wouldve been a great cap off to see Downey get an Oscar nomination.

Is The Soloist not getting released ANYWHERE this year? Or is it just the wide release that's getting pushed back? If it's still getting played at certain theaters it can still get nominations.

And I agree with Matt.com about this vampire bullshit. At least 30 Days of Night and Let The Right One In rememberd that vampires can be in horror movies, too, instead of just Teen Nick fodder.

Hillary Duff is fucking hot in War, Inc! I didn't even know it was her when I was watching it.

War, Inc Hillary Duff > Regular Hillary Duff x200

Hilary Duff looking her best might be my favorite girl in Hollywood.

She has really rebounded because she was looking horrible awhile back.

A night time shuttle launch is a pretty cool three minutes of TV. Wish I had CNN in HD.

Seeing it live from a mile out is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen in my life. If you ever get the opportunity, spend the cash to go see it!

They will be campaigning for him to get one for Tropic Thunder.

It got pushed back to the spring. Paramount is trying to cut down on its wide releases it releases per year.

War, Inc. was a well-meaning mess, but god damned if Hilary didn't more than make up for it

I went to my nephew's middle school play of The Music Man yesterday and the kid who played Matthew Broderick's son in Deck the Halls was in it. (Dylan Blue) I guess he moved to Southampton recently.

His career is taking off.

SNL was great last Saturday!

Everything Paul Rudd does is gold (I'll conveniently forget that Eva Longoria flick).

I believe I may have a full-on man-crush:
