UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2006 Gold Digger is up for best Male Video? Am I dreaming or wasn't that up for nomination at last year's VMA's?

snuffbox 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2006 Yeah...that American Idiot cd is at least 2 1/2 years old. VMAs get dumber every year.
Boner Kawanger 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2006 Well, out of all the nominees, the only music that I own is Electroplankton. I'm really surprised that it was even nominated.
Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2006 God awful choices for best rock video as always though it can't get any worse than the year where Evanescence, Hoobastank, Jet, and Yellowcard where all nominated. UGH. RHCP, please take it home. Also, Avenged Sevenfold up for new artist? They've been around for like 6 years.

UGH. When reading the nominees for that ballot, my thoughts were "Evanescence is still around?".
Darthtiki 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2006 It's sad that tomorrow is the 25th Anniversary of the launch of MTV and to see how big of a shitstorm the network has become is amazing.

Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2006 I'm still amazed that people still care. Also, talking about MTV sucking is cool...when you are sexually frustrated and in high school.
Annabelle 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2006 t.i. is performing & is nominated. i bet he wins. he's worth it. and for mtv music, rap/hip hop is the only thing that is wortwhile. all of the other categories & performances are boring. red hot chili peppers? come on, remember when they ruled the 92 mtv awards? fresh blood. no one cares about those old men. Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2006 Avanged is up for Best New Artist in a video...that we're finally playing. I really like the 30 Seconds to Mars song, nice to see them win. I know it's said every year, but this looks like the worst VMAs ever
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2006 I am disappointed that Superwolf's video for "I Gave You" isn't nominated for anything. It's a great video. In any event, I haven't seen any of the videos nominated, but I can only assume that they're terrible because I don't like any of those bands. Wait...I like Gnarls Barkley and Chamillionaire, still...I've never heard of Panic! At the Disco or Angels and Airwaves. Are they...."screamo"?

vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2006 Now that you mention it...they shoulda been invited. If there's any band that epitomizes MTV, it's Band of Horses. ...If I didn't mean that sarcastically, it would sound like Band of Horses suck, but I like Band of Horses. Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2006 The fact that 3 6 Mafia, Black Eye Pea's, and Daddy Yankee is nominated under the Hip Hop secetion makes these awards irrelevent.
Timmy8271 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2006 Who's hosting this year? MTV is a joke. Panic at the disco is gay. And i like Rompe. I don't know why, it's just catchy and makes me want to beat the shit out of a person that doesn't speak english. That's horrible to do but it just does.
