I remember reading about a match where Undertaker had to fight off Paul Heyman's minions and if he lost Paul Bearer would be buried alive in cement. Apparently he WON...and then killed Paul himself. I was curious about why he did that if the point of the match was to save him. I looked it up on google and every recap just said he claimed he was sorry to Paul. What? Did he ever explain why he killed his own friend when he was just trying to save him? Why did Heyman have him buried in cement anyway?

Basically, his only weakness was looking after Paul. So, he took care of that.

I could see them just releasing Mercury and then him going back to TNA.

It's a damn shame that they are doing all of this (especially if it's because of that Booker T/Batista bullshit) becasue MNM is one of the brightest points in recent WWE history. I was slow to take to them, but once it finally happened I became a huge fan. I don't even think that they were ever really allowed to take off like they could have. Hell, they weren't even on WM were they?

Except that WWE is high on Mercury and he'll probably get a push just for not going along with Melina and Nitro's antics.

They weren't on WM, which pissed off alot of the boys in the back but of course no one was going to say "Hey, Vince...how about MnM on the card instead of another pillow fight?".

I've never cared for Nitro despite him always being pegged as the MNM Goldenboy. Mercury (aka Matthews) all the way, and I hope they push him solo (why not throw Jillian with him? Makes sense and should happen IMO).

Jillian and Mercury together makes sense and they'd probably both benefit from push towards the US title. Could hook them up after the MNM split and then have Jillian recruit Mercury to help her get revenge on JBL for using and then dumping her.

Did Taker and Andre ever have any interaction in a ring with one another? Counting pre-WWF even.
I don't think so - Andre was in the WWF when Taker was first breaking in and when Taker went to the WWF Andre had retired and only showed up to support the Bushwackers against the Natural Disasters if I I'm not mistaken.

I've been out of the loop, what did MNM do to catch all this backstage heat?

Check the Judgement day Thread. All your answers are in that thread.

About the wrestlemania 22 dvd;

In the ending of the Mickie James/ Trish Match, the part where Mickie licks the V is cut out, as well as the botched Stratisfaction.

It just ends out of nowhere with a Mick Kick

I picked up WWE's new cd wreckless Intent today thinking it would be like the last "hard rock" WWE cd called Forceable entry and boy was I wrong. I didn't competely listen to it but thats just because the music is so scattered around and I didn't want to hear a bunch of diva theme music and crappy rap music. Here's the track list and who it goes to.

1. I walk Alone by Saliva , Batista's music

2. Burn In My Light by Mercy Drive, Randy Orton's Music (doesn't even start out with "HEY!")

3. Hard Hittin by Homiebowi (?), Coach's theme music (Didn't care for it, sounded like the same lyrics over and over again)

4. Crank it Up by Brand New Sin, Big Show's music (I liked it, has this blues sound to it)

5. Holla by Desiree Jackson, Candice's music

6. A Girl Like me by Eleventh Hour, Torrie's music (If you thought this was bad last night on Raw, yeah its just as bad on the album as well.)

7. Quien Soy Yo by Kaballon, Carlito's music (I turned the song off afer a minute of listeing to mumbling spanish)

8. Deadly Game by Theroy of a Deadman (This song was done years ago for the "Deady Games" In Your House PPV, WWE just redid it with a differant band........and butchered it)

9. I'm Comin by Silk the Shocker......for who? I don't know. Why its on there? I have no idea. At first I thought it might have been for Gangrel, starts out like his theme did.

10. Fury Of The Storm by Shadows Fall, RVD's music (They pretty much took his First WWE theme and added lyrics, heavy metal lyrics. I Say heavy metal because their yelling something I can't understand fully. I NEED A TRANSLATOR!)

11. Some Bodies Gonna Get It by Three 6 Mafia, Mark Henry's music (.....NEXT! Ok it starts out ok but after Mafia says "Three 6 Mafia" a few times during the song, I turned to the next song)

12. With Legs Like That by Zebrahead, Maria's song

13. This Fire Burns by Killswitch Engage (I thought this was for Kane but there's no wrestlers name next to the song title, so I have no idea why this song is even on the cd, maybe it'll be used for a upcoming PPV?)

14. Booyaka 619 by POD, Mysterio's music (Quickly became a rap, next song)

15. King of Kings by Motorhead, HHH's music

and thats it. 15 songs, the cd is over 52 minutes. If your into all types of music, mainly rap, metal, and pop rock songs, you might like this cd, but I don't recommand buying it. Better yet, con your friends into buying and just burn the songs you like.

This afternoon, WWE began informing business partners that they have locked in an additional Pay-per-view event for December 3, 2006. No word yet on a name for the show, or what brand (or brands) will be involved.

From pwinsider.com

************************

I got this at deathvalleydriver

"A reliable source has informed GERWECK.NET that JAPW Tag Team The SAT, Jose and Joel Maximo have been signed to ECW Contracts. They are the first independent tag team to be signed to the new promotion.

They have a booking with JAPW in a "Loser Leaves JAPW" Cage match against the Outcast Killaz on June 17th. It is rumored that SAT will lose this match and then become dedicated members of the ECW Roster which is slated to begin Weekly TV shows as early as the week after One Night Stand."

**************************

Found at gamefaqs:

First of all, the talk is that Tazz is going to moved moved off smackdown to be the ECW announcer and also *possibly* be used as a character on the ECW show.

Heres the shocker. Theyve been doing auditions for the smackdown position and the guy whos going to get the job is noneother than...........................Simon Dean. Apparantly he was awesome during his audition and they loved it. Its a big shocker but this could be cool.

Secondly-wrestler reaction in both raw and smackdown locker rooms to the taker/khali match. The guys had huge respect for taker anyway but talk is the respect is enormous now because of the hard work he put in to the match and how he put the guy over, it has been seen as taking one for the team in a major way. Taker has scored major points here.

Thirdly- Orton is returning in two weeks time in Trenton, NJ confirmed, and they are happy with his attitude and he is getting another shot. This is also MIGHT be the first ECW tv taping, although the two are not related.

Fourth- They have been going back and forth on the world heavyweight title situation for weeks. Decision was amde to keep the belt on rey at JD about 2 weeks ago. There was talk of Henry perhaps getting the belt but this has now been scrapped. Currently the plan is for Rey to keep the belt until at least Summerslam, although they are changing their minds on this all the time.

Fifth- The reason there was no live preshow for JD was because they are scrapping live preshows for single brand ppv's as they have to pay for the extra satellite time.

Sixth- Nitro and Melina are 100 percent going to raw, but they only found out at the JD ppv. Mercury, as ive already said, is going to deal iwth some personal problems but there will be a spot for him on smackdown when he returns.

Seventh- and they didnt really want to touch this too much as it is a.) personal and b.) unconfirmed but a large amount of the heat on melina is due to her relationship with batista. Bottom line-they are at it and there is heat on nitro for being a ***** and standing back letting it happen.

Eighth- They are still considering doing a draft, but there is no concrete news at this time.

Ninth- The leprechaun debuting with Finlay is set to debut tonight.

It was meant for The Boogeyman (hence the ticking clock effect and the "1...2.." Freddy Krueger knockoff).

Also, here's the GAB poster:

Glad to see that.

I've mostly been a Taker hater because of his usual killing of other wrestlers, lame character changes, and usually weak punch/kick fests... but, he bumped like a champ, and put over Khali as well as possible. Combine that with the very good match with Angle at NWO, and Taker really has been great in 2006.

So, would this mean that ECW's going to have a few spotfests on hand? That's what these 2 do.

Here is a slight update on MNM from a PWInsider audio report:

-Johnny Nitro and Melina will be back, on RAW, and will continue to be together. This is being done to keep her away from Booker T, Sharmell, and most importantly (because of the rumors of them being together, etc...), Batista.

-Mercury has a personal issue to deal with, and will be gone for about four weeks. It's said that he's going to come back with a clean slate, either going to RAW seeking revenge, or staying on SD doing his own thing.

ECW news from PWInsider:

-They are thinking about bringing in New Jack, Justin Credible, and other former ECW guys who are locked up in that MTV deal. Word right now is that MTV will just up and release them from their contracts, just becasue they know that the guys will make more money working in the ECW group. They also mentioned that they have heard that a few of the main guys behind the MTV project have come to find out that New Jack is literally insane, so they are more than willing to let him go.

They also mentioned Chris Hamerick being brought back into this new ECW. I've always been a pretty big fan of that guy, so that's great news to me.

Hamerick was always blah for me.

And that's right and proper for MTV to let the guys go to ECW and make more money. Yay for New Jack's craziness!!!

They better be careful not to stack the Raw roster any more than it already is.

A few more bits:

-Rumors are going around backstage that instead of letting Joey Styles do his thing on his own, they are going to stick Tazz with him, taking him off of SD. They would also have Tazz play more of a role as well, other than just in the booth.

-As a result of that, Simon Dean would then take Tazz's place with Cole.

-They say that they've heard this from at least three different sources, and that they've given Simon Dean tryouts and so far he's blown everyone away that's heard him.

-This doesn't mean that we might not see Super Nova every now and then in ECW.

I always thought Hamerick was a great bumper.

I guess his whole, I look like a child molester turned me off. But he's a solid worker, yeah.

You know, I'm not shocked Simon Dean would fit into that spot.

Me neither. He seems like a guy who likes to hear his own voice. He and Cole can probably work well together.

More bits:

-Right now, the talk is that Rey will hold the title until around SummerSlam. JBL was penned in to win the title, then they decided to go with Mark Henry (they said that his theme is being performed live tonight at the SD taping), but now they are thinking about keeping Rey as champ for quite a while.

(All of this is bullshit though, because quite honestly, I don't think anyone in WWE knows what to do with SD, and quite frankly, I don't think they give a shit.)

-There are certain people that are worried about not enough heels being in the new ECW. As a result of that, there are serious talks about Chris Benoit actually being moved over to the new ECW as one of their top heels.
