Scroby 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2006 Brent Albright will be back in WWE in 8 months anyways, so it's not that big of a deal but it gives just another example of how dumb they are. Why would Melenko (whom, I guess has become a total ass kisser for McMahon) have issues with a Benoit inspired worker? Jamie Knoble works very similar to Benoit but he gets away with it. The guy had a gimmick for being Benoit's protege, so wouldn't he naturally duplicate Benoit's style as Benoit stole Dynamite's entire routine 12 years ago? WWE will come calling again after Albright tears it up with Danielson, Joe, and McGuinness. The differance between in Noble and Albright is that Noble is using the redneck gimmick and not many people would compare him to Beniot, while Albright was being groomed as a Beniot clone. That sir, would be the differance.

Crap, forgot all about her. No idea how, but I did. I'm none of the above and I'd still wear that out.

Damnit, if only that had happened a couple of weeks back Flair could have just had Tully and Arn as his "friends". I would have marked out harder for than than seeing Piper, Ted, and IRS with him. LivingLegendGaryColeman 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 FLAIR AND SANDMAN! I guess WWE messed up. I went to the site not knowing about this match and was confused by the choices. I guess they just need to update the main images.

Mecca 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 Some more news........ PWInsider.com has reported that WWE have signed the son of Afa the Wild Samoan, Afa, Jr. It is not known if it's a developmental contract or a full deal but he skipped an indy date over the weekend telling people he was skipping the date because he was signing with WWE. They also signed Eddie Colon, according to Victor Jovica. Word has it that Claudio Castagnoli recently had a tryout at DSW. CHIKARA have promptly announced an 8-man tag team tournament, with the winners ranking up the 3 wins to get a title shot. This could be coincidence, but it could also be a way of hot shotting the belts off of the KOW. Granted, nothing's definate. They may be doing this as it's a cool thing to do, or just to add speculation that KOW are going to drop the belts.

pochorenella 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 Carlito won a squash last week and this week he teamed with Jeff in a losing effort to Masters and Benjamin. There was miscommunication between the faces and a brawl between all of them to set up the IC Title match for Cyber Sunday. The choices are Carlito, Benjamin, and Nitro. Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 the last thing I remember was Carlito jobbing repeatedly to Orton...okay, "repeatedly" may be an exaggeration, but it sure seemed like it. oh and I fibbed a bit...I did make it a point to catch Cryme Tyme since I missed the debut...nothing special as a tag team, but Vince likes those hoss guys like Shad Gaspard so he may make it once Cryme Tyme has run its course

BorneAgain 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 From PWInsider.com Former TNA headliner Monty Brown was backstage at yesterday's Raw taping in Chicago. Sources have confirmed Brown and World Wrestling Entertainment have opened contract negotiations. As noted yesterday on PWInsider.com, Brown's talks to sign a new deal with TNA have stalled of late and he's no longer under contract there. Brown was not booked for the Bound for Glory PPV, which was in his home State of Michigan. Wasn't aware Raw was considered the Serengeti.
Mecca 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 Monty Brown makes sense for the WWE, he's big has a look and some natural charisma. I just hope if he signs with them he realizes he's going to be working 200+ dates not 2 times a month and his personal trainer career he loves so much will be over. Mecca 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 They can't put him on Smackdown if they sign him........fans will think he's the smaller shittier Lashley. I'm guessing alot of WWE fans don't know who Monty Brown is so if he's around Lashley they'll shit on him as a Lashley ripoff.
The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 Monty Brown's character seems absolutely PERFECT for the E. The question is, which brand do you put him on? Smackdown, so they can hide his weaknesses. It also gives him some better wrestlers to work with.
BorneAgain 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 For some reason I see him showing up on SD as a knight of King Booker that he uses against either Batista or the more obvious choice of Lashley. I am curious as to how soon Monty would come up to one of the rosters, as some retooling in OVW is hardly out of the question. Provided he does sign and end up in ECW, if they gave Heyman some writing/booking power he could probably work around Brown's weaknesses.

BorneAgain 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2006 or the more obvious choice of Lashley. It's because he's black, isn't it. Well the similiarities of near bald head, short tights, and muscle build had something to do with it.

luke-o 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2006 Ive never been a fan of Monty Brown, hes not a great athlete, hes not a great wrestler, hes not a draw and he will never be a draw. And ive never seen any evidence of this "charisma" he's supposed to have. His promos in TNA were stupid and didnt have a point.
