Comments which don't warrant a thread

Recommended Posts

AT most I'd say Candace is the best of the Diva Search Girls. She is certainly not better than Melina let alone Victoria. Mickie, Victoria, Jillian, Melina, Beth are much better workers than she is.

I wasn't putting Beth and Jillian in this proverbial list as they aren't active RAW wrestlers. Which was the subject at hand, the "woman's title division". Melina isn't that great and I've seen far too much of her work in OVW and I feel safe enough to say that she isn't better then Candice.

You're backtracking Hawk. You said that Candice and Victoria were on the same level, like Mickie and Trish were on the same level. Now, I am not going to argue whether if Mickie/Trish are better than Victoria or not, because they are in my opinion, but Victoria is certainly a level above Candice.

You're right: Candice is certainly not a backyarder. HOWEVER, much like a backyarder, it's safe to say that before wrestling her first match, she wasn't trained, yes? So she's still an untrained person pretending to wrestle. That's great for her she's improving, but I don't want to see amateurs night on Raw. Since she has potential, she should do what Victoria did and get sent down to OVW to learn and then come back when she's ready.

You're telling someone who owns every volume of SHIMMER to raise his standards?

Look, Candice at least knows her way around a ring which is far greater then Maria and Torrie Wilson, whom after 8 years in the business still struggles with a high kick. Candice, is better at actually working. Sells fairly well for a glorified model, moves well enough for someone who probably has minimal training. That's better then what she even needed to be to keep her job. She might not great but when you're putting forth obvious effort when you don't need to do anything but gyrate, she should get credit. While she isn't remotely near the level of even Haze, Melissa, Knox, Del Ray and Mercedes (just to name a few), to act as if Victoria is that much better is nuts considering Victoria since the injury has been limited (in her work and the booking). If this was 2002, probably would say that Victoria blows Candice away but in late 2006? Not much seperation between the two.

However, the gap of Mickie/Trish between Candice/Victoria is tremendously wide open.

That's the original statement. I never said Candice was equal. I said the gap between them is narrower now then it would have been if Victoria was the same great talent she was up until 2004.

This isn't really an arguement because we each agree that Candice is above the other DIVA wrestlers (you can't really consider Mickie and Victoria as DIVA's when they have wrestling talent). It's not as if I was saying Candice was the best female wrestler employed. Whose training the diva's now, anyways as Finlay is a regular worker now? Is it Snow or DeMott?

A greater issue is that Victoria hasn't progressed as much with her character over the past 4 years. As I said in the raw thread, she's crazy when the title is in the picture and happy-go-lucky when she isn't involved in the main woman's program.

I said she was a backyarder because thats how much training she has. Hell, a backyarder is better than her because they at least practice and want to be wrestlers. She wants to look good in a Bikini. She is equal to a backyarder becuase SHE IS NOT TRAINED. Thats what a backyarder is. She is far behind every womans wrestler on the roster and slightly better than any of the non trained wrestler.

You want to call her the best of the shit? Fine. Don't call her passable, good or anything close to a worker. Its a slap in the face to all woman trained wrestlers.

Lita on her last day in WWE:

Lita posted a message about her final day with WWE on the MySpace page for her band, The Luchagors. She wrote, "So, to say I was disappointed with my final moments with WWE is quite an understatement. It was comforting to read all your comments and emails when I got home. I appreciate that you were able to see I did my best in the situation that was handed to me to give you guys an entertaining match and play along and be a professional with the other stuff that went along with my 'big farewell night'." She also mentioned how Edge threw a party for her that included a special video message from Pee-Wee Herman.

No, Warrior's wrongful termination lawsuit was settled in 2000. Warrior filed a new lawsuit, claiming that WWE broke one of the terms of the settlement when they released the Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior DVD. Warrior claims the DVD broke their settlement agreement to not publicly disparage each other.

At least theres Pee Wee

So, to say I was dissapointed with my final moments with WWE is quite an understatement. It was comforting to read all your comments and emails when I got home. I appreciate that you were able to see I did my best in the situation that was handed to me to give you guys an entertaining match and play along and be a professional with the other stuff that went along with my "big farewell night". BUT......... that's NOT why I am writing. If that were why I was writing it'd probally be about 10 pages long and with a bunch of ****s and capitol letters. But I don't want to think about negative things because I have a killer story for you guys. It has absolutely nothing to do w/ the Luchagors, but I have nowhere else to write about this, so until I do, .... here I am!! So my mom and step dad came to the show. I planned on getting a low key bite to eat w/ them and Adam (edge, duh). So Adam said he knew of a place that we could still grab some grub that late and we were gonna meet my folks there. I walk in to this loungey bowling alley where we have the top floor reserved and all the guys and gals of the WWE are there yelling SUPRISE! except Carlito, who is singing Happy Birthday... So, were bowling, eating, drinking and stuff when Adam makes an announcement for everyone to have a seat. Out comes the cake (@which time Carly, again, starts singing Happy Birthday ) and a video starts playing where all the guys and gals start saying a bunch of really sweet mushy stuff. Adam had planned this whole thing out, .... pretty cool huh? I havent even got to the good part............ So this video is playing and who is the last person on the video wishing ME well in my retirement?????....................FUCKING PEE WEE HERMAN!!!!!!!!!!! So my last TV moments werent perfect, but Adam could not have pulled anything cooler and I felt pretty damn special to have such cool friends and to hear PEE WEE HERMAN say my name to me. I am still in shock. You guys are awesome, I'll be in touch soon, but if you need me, I'll be in my living room w/ my message from Paul Reubens on loop. Pee-Wee rules, and so do you guys. Take Care, Amy

Michelle McCool hospitalized

By Zack Zeigler

November 28, 2006

SmackDown Diva Michelle McCool has been hospitalized for what she thought was general sickness and acute back pain. The decision to admit herself may have saved her life.

An ultra sound and other extensive tests revealed that McCool was suffering from an enlarged kidney and an electrolyte imbalance. The condition is so severe that she has spent more than a week in the hospital so far, including the Thanksgiving holiday.

According to WWE Doctor Ferdinand Rios, had the condition been left untreated, McCool could have encountered other major health issues such as heart or kidney failure.

“Her condition was complicated by an electrolyte imbalance; sometimes those cannot be corrected immediately, and due to lack of sodium [in her body] she needed a lot of intravenous fluids,” said Rios.

During treatment McCool mentioned a singeing pain in her chest to her doctors.

“Michelle most likely suffered a fractured sternum from one of her matches where she may have been kicked in the chest,” explained Rios.

Rios said the support and well-wishing McCool has received from her family and WWE fans has helped keep her upbeat and headed down the road to recovery. Without further complications, she should be home in time for the upcoming holiday season.

“She’s getting better and is getting stronger, and at this time is free from infection,” Rios said. “When I spoke to her she was in good spirits.”

That's good to know. Hope she makes a speedy recovery.

It's been reported that Lita is already taking indy bookings.

Wait I thought Lita was leaving wrestling all together to do movies (HA) and what not back when it was first reported that she was leaving. Was it wrong or did she change her mind in the last few months.

Electrolite imbalance in the kidneys? Isn't that what knocked Lashley and The "Great" Khali off whichever PPV that was a while back? (featuring the very first and hopefully very last Punjabi Prison match) Seems like an odd thing to happen to so many superstars

Looks like she wants to do indy shows on the side where she could make a little money while supporting her band.

Oh. Well hopefully Lita will start doing hardcore porn soon. If there was ever a WWE diva made for hardcore porn it's Lita.

I didn't know Lita and Edge were still together (or was it just a friendly sort of gesture??). Lita's desired schedule is perfect for TNA, I bet they've already called her. I bet she would have been written off differently if she didn't have plans to keep wrestling with a strong possibility of ending up in TNA.

That's probably why she got the burial.....pretty much everyone in WWE thinks she'll end up working in TNA at some point.

I'm not sure Edge and Lita are 'together" I know they're still close so it may have been a friend gesture or they may be fuck buddies hell who knows.

Some of the matches planned for Armageddon per spoilers from PWInsider

Scheduled for the WWE Smackdown Armaggedon PPV is The Undertaker vs. Ken Kennedy in a Last Ride match and MVP vs. Kane in an Inferno match.

Guess they feel to load up Armageddon with something different.

Oh, I can see her joining up with Kurt and repeating the same gimmick.

WWE SHOW AT THE CENTER OF A MAJOR CONTROVERSY

by Buck Woodward @ 9:07:00 AM on 11/29/2006

WWE Smackdown is the center of a major controversy in Indonesia, as the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission has called for the show to be banned in their country. This comes in the fallout of an investigation into the death of a nine year old boy in Bandung who allegedly died as a result of mimicking wrestlers he saw on the program. It should be pointed out that the official cause of death for the child, who had suffered blows to his body in October before dying a month later, has yet to be determined. However, his death has become a major news story in the country, and a platform for those that are against violence on television.

In an article released by Reuters today, Commission member Ade Armando was quoted as saying, "We have SmackDown posters, shirts, cards, and other things. It has become some kind of specific culture with its own community. If there is no television show, we assume those other things will lose audience. So our conclusion is stopping the show altogether. We will not tolerate its showing anytime."

Lativi, a private broadcaster which carries the show, has moved the program from 9pm to 10pm, but has not indicated that they will drop the program. The Reuters article noted that WWE is also popular on the underground video market (bootleg videos of wrestling, concerts, movies, etc. is big in the country). In the last decade, political changes have resulted in less government censorship when it comes to broadcasts and other forms of entertainment, opening the door for programs that would be seen as "controversial" in the past. The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission does not have the power to ban the show, but they obviously will be putting pressure on Lativi to drop it.
