How about we count Bret as the exception that proves the rule? Besides, there's some pretty extensive trim going on those boots that probably mitigated the suckiness caused by white wrestling boots. To me, they always looked more like black boots with spats.

The Cade and Murdoch thing has to be one of the more bizarre situations on WWE TV right now.

 

They went from Heat duty to beating the fuck out of Hunter one week (Sure they had Shane, but they did most of the work and left him bleeding like fuck), and being made to actually look fairly STRONG against the three biggest stars in the entire promotion the next.

 

I wonder if they think they can get mileage out of Cade & Murdoch versus Hunter & Shawn. That's the only thing I can think of given that they weren't buried. I say go for it. I mean, what can it hurt? Cade & Murdoch are a good team, a perfect case of two people being given time to work together and figure out who they are as a team. Their double lariat onto Shawn was flat out badass, along with the inverted Atomic Drop > Sliding boot kick double team.

 

And what the hell happened to Lance Cade? When did he get so damn cool? He almost looks like a Steve Williams type guy, not super cut but you can tell he's built like fuck, and he's barrell chested. Not to mention the jet black hair, and the pissed off texan route. Murdoch gets bonus points for going after what appeared to be a camera man though.

 

If WWE ever fires these two, they need to go to Japan. They could make a crapload of money off their sterotyped crazy Texan gimmicks. Worked for Hansen for years.

Was that the one he used on SummerSlam 92? It looked quite different, true, but that's the only time I've ever seen him wearing it.

 

I do recall Steve Austin using the white boots very early with his "Stone Cold" persona. I saw some pics from MSG back in 1996 when they got him wrestling with Steve Lombardi and he had the white boots.

DX have been beating Viscera and Haas and then Cade and Murdoch at house shows recently. If the matches, which were short, looked good, they might be putting the two teams together for TV to give DX someone new to face until Vince comes back to play with his toys.

if they had put some advance planning they should have paired Cade and Murdoch weeks ago with Edge as champ. Skits with them wouldve reminded me of midcard heel Jericho with Murdoch as the illegitimate son of Ralphus. I was actually surprised they were good on the mic as well. It is weird outside of house shows pushing this team I've only seen a couple of times on Raw in the last year. If this wasnt a supershow they couldve had a Heat match to set up these guys are big stars. It was funny how Edge took the mic and spelled out who they were and what they did last week which I thought was talking down to the audience as if they wouldnt know, but the bad reaction in the ME shows they didnt really care.

 

Cena's hated in all English speaking countries it seems so it's not bizarro land. It was also ridiculous when JR said they booed him 2 hours ago but now they're cheering him, but it sounded like boos to me.

 

DX vs Edge/Randy would be better because it reminds me of the old Impact Player angles where the annoying upstart heels eventually look cooler and more fresh than the stale babyfaces. But of course they'd get buried to keep DX fresh so it'd be better for their careers to take a pass. If they ACTUALLY care about giving Benjamin stuff to do they should pair him with another heel and move up as hes been around too long to be involved with the tag or ic titles. And I dont mean Crime Tyme or Spirit Squad although itd be funny for one night to have him in either group.

 

With Lita leaving soon I dont see what's left for Edge to do on this show.

I thought it was Vince that slammed HHH's head in the door, which caused the "bleeding like fuck" injury to his ear. I'm sure that isn't what Vince was trying to do, but it looked like Hunter's head sort of dropped a bit too far or he wasn't able to absorb as much of it with his shoulder as he thought he would be able to.
