Taj has been in college for how many years? I bet he is an undercover agent for the paper company and his part time job is selling soap.

I'm sure he beats himself up in a White Castle parking lot as well...

That's how he meant his wife...

I don't think so. It's been made clear that HRG has some pretty powerful bosses. I'd be interested to see who they are, who they work for and what their agenda is.

Wanna know how Sylar pulled off his "playing dead" trick? Remember the Cockroach last week?

from Wikipedia:

"Cockroaches are mainly nocturnal and will run away when exposed to light. A peculiar exception is the Oriental cockroach, which is attracted to light, thus making it a far more annoying pest.

The cockroach is also one of the hardiest insects on the planet, capable of

living for a month without food. It can also hold its breath for 45 minutes and has the ability to slow down its heart rate.

It is popularly suggested that cockroaches will "inherit the earth" if humanity destroys itself in a nuclear war. Cockroaches do indeed have a much higher radiation resistance than vertebrates, with the lethal dose perhaps 6 to 15 times that for humans. However, they are not exceptionally radiation-resistant compared to other insects, such as the fruit fly.

The cockroach's ability to withstand radiation better than human beings can be explained in terms of the cell cycle. Cells are more vulnerable to effects of radiation when they are dividing. A cockroach's cells only divide once when in its molting cycle, which at most happens weekly. The cells of the cockroach take roughly 48 hours to complete a molting cycle, which would give time enough for radiation to affect it but not all cockroaches would be molting at the same time. This would mean some would be unaffected by the radiation and thus survive."

Found this on the Heroes MB this morning....interesting theory that makes sense whether it's accurate or not.

More likely... Sylar acquired freezing powers from someone. Given that Primatech doesn't exactly have top of the line medical equipment, he could lower his internal temperature and telekinetically slow his heartbeat down to simulate death.

Slyar has the power of suggestion which he took from Eve and used it on the Dr. to fake his death.

But Eden blew her brains out so he couldn't figure out how to use her powers, no?

I kinda thought he somehow forced her to, like he gained her powers and was able to overcome her with her own power...but who knows?

I'm going with the freezing power, especially based on that scene with the frozen guy with his head lopped off early on. Where he got it from? Fucked if I know.

Speaking of Sylar, what's the deal with the little girl that Parkman found when he first discovered his powers? Wasn't it kinda hinted that the parents hid her because they knew that Sylar was coming for her?

I'm really certain that she knew she was done and so blasted her own brain so he couldn't get her powers.

So I'm guessing that The Invisible Limey once worked with HRG and either broke out or was taken care of because of something he knew. Either way, good plot twist.

I fucking fucking fucking HATE that Nathan is Claire's dad. Just seemed like something they wrote in because they didn't know what else to do. Either way that girl has some shitty parents. A dad who cheats on his wife AND lets her crash into a divider, effectively paralyzing her and a mom who abandoned her in a burning house.

Damn people are still spouting this bullshit? How the hell could anyone interpret that scene from the first season that way? He obviously didn't know how to control his powers and had no idea what was going on.

I'm still spouting that bullshit because the dude is a fucking weasel and saved himself. I didn't really notice anything in that scene that showed me that his powers accidentally activated themself. What did you see that I didn't?

Why the hell would he reach out for her and yell her name if he was only interested in saving himself? You could see in his face that he was distressed and had no idea what had just happened. Of course if you don't want to see it that way you could just say he's faking it but that's bullshit. It was implied by the show that it was the first time he had ever flown. You're letting your feelings towards what he's done in other parts of the show cloud your judgement. I can't believe a character could affect so many people this way. Sure he's an asshole, but he's just a god damn tv character and he's not even that interesting. I remember when that episode first aired, some people posted on the imdb boards that he was an ass because he purposely flew out. But they were the minority. I have no idea how someone can come up with that conclusion after seeing the scene but evidently it happened.

edit: And it wasn't about his powers accidently activating "themselves" either. He was about to crash and instinctively his mind thought about getting out of there and that's the first time he drew on his ability to fly even though he didn't know that he could. It's like the first time Bruce Willis decided to bench press as much as he could in Unbreakable even though he was always that strong. You can also see that in Nikki and Isaac's powers too.
