Thank god that they cancelled this show. I couldn't stand looking at all of the ugly faggots in the commercials for the show and the ugly bitches too. I swear the women on this show had the bodies of little boys.

What kind of ratings did the OC get in it's first season?

Aside from Willa Holland, whom is actually 15 years old and plays one, I can't fathom how you could state that Rachel Bilso and Mischa Barton had bodies of little boys.

Also, Season 1 drew 9.7 rating which placed it in the top 50 but dominated the key demo.

I watched the whole first season on DVD in a weekend. I never watched it again. It could have been worse I suppose, it could have been One Tree Hill. I saw one episode of that and it was clearly the most overly dramatic show in history.

I never saw one episode of the show..so whatever.

Fox has a ton of problems with their schedule, outside of their big shows (AI,24,House,Simpsons,Family Guy). They moved War at Home to Thursday nights where it will get killed in the ratings and cancelled as opposed to managing to survive on Sunday night with no competition. Most of their new shows were cancelled with the exception of Til Death and everyone seems to hate that show just as much as War at Home.

anyway, fox doesn't care cause they can air AI all week if they have to.

My DVR just got less crowded on Thursday nights, as soon my g/f will lose her favorite show! It came on right after Earl and the Office, which we both watch, and at the same time as Impact. Sometimes I would have to record Impact on Saturday nights just to allow her show to be recorded due to setting recordings a minute early.

What was so great about the first season?

Is there any chance that this show moves over to the CW?

The first season was a really good blend of comedy and drama, and had the interesting backstory to introduce everyone.

Season 2 was the stinker season, with lame characters (DJ the Yard Guy) and stupid storylines (Sandy's old flame, Lindsay falling for Ryan and discovering she's Caleb's illegitimate daughter). At least it ended well with the "Killing Trey" cliffhanger. Last season was certainly more interesting than the second, but honestly this season currently is the second best, trailing only the first one.

I highly doubt it'll be picked up by a rival network, but I'll cross my fingers. I never got into One Tree Hill.

Honestly, from what I saw, it was OK, and the dad with the hyooj eyebrows was a good actor. Also, the Xander-esque kid was good. Mischa Barton was awful from what I saw though.

Wow, with all these great successes maybe fox should have kept AD around for the awards. And my one-man ban seems to be going well.

It's alllll part of... the royal plan! (Moe and Oscar laugh)

I've seen a lot of rumour sites saying this show will be picked up by CW Network.

I realized how many fans of this show I have on my MSN list when I kept seeing "OMG THE OC IS CANCELLED!" or variations of it all morning.

I never watched one episode, and now I never have to hear that damn "California...CALIFORNIAAAAAAAAA!" song again! Yay!

Why are people, who don't even watch the show..rejoicing? I mean really, it's not gonna make a difference whatsoever if you never watched it before..And if you've never seen an episode...why complain about the song? (Which they rarely ever use in the commercials...so I doubt without watching it, you'd hear it that much)

And I can't help but notice above, You've got someone complaining that the actors are too old, playing young people. And someone else saying that the people look too young (Or as they put it..."little boys", even though..you know...they were supposed to be in high school and all that...I doubt you would be seeing any D cups..)

I for one will be sad to see the show go. The only thing I ever really didn't like about it, was a lot of the dealings around Marissa...and now, with her gone, this season has definitely been huge steps up. Taylor is awesome. It sucks. But at least they're going to finish the season, and not just stop showing them like the bastards did with Point Pleasant.

Well, no girls in high school have huge tits. I learned something today. Who knew?

Yay. Sarcasm is fun.

For one, I didn't say "No girls in high school have huge tits." But people were acting as if the characters had to have "great bodies", just because it's a show a I guess (even though as pointed out, I wouldn't exactly say they look like "little boys". Rachel Bilson is one hot ass boy then, not to mention most of the other females. Olivia Wilde. Hot.)

It's also not as if the show started with them as Seniors. How many High school Freshmen/Sophmores do you know with "Huge tits". I'm sure not many. (Not to say that there aren't any, just to get the sarcasm out of the way)

I remember a good percentage of young girls in high school being well developed. What does that have to do with anything here?

Aside from Willa Holland, whom plays a 15 year old and actually is a 15 year old, no one else on that show looks like a little boy. McKenzie and Brody being 7 years oldrt in reality from their character is hardly as bad as a 45 year old Ian Ziering playing a 21 year old college frat boy. At least the girls are the age they play.

Michael J Fox is something like 3 years older than Crispin Glover, who played his dad in BTTF. Age doesn't matter.

Did anybody on the O.C. ever travel back in time to when their parents were the same age as them?
