The British discovered and made the Americans) have to go through extensive questioning hyper vigilent customs where you have to take your shoes off and all sorts. The British press basically overhypes any young rock band as the greatest thing ever, especially if any members get into trouble (see the Libertines and Razorlight for more recent examples).
