-That 3 Doors down song from Mania 21..it went great w/ the video at the end..

-Probably my all time fav is Highway to Hell from SummerSlam 98....That highlight video at the end was bad ass w/ it as the music plus the Home Shopping Network Post Show was even decent...

"Behind Those Eyes"...I can't hear it without seeing the pyro from the video and hearing JR go "Welcome to Wrestlemania!"

Rumble 90-92 theme and WM V-VIII theme (which I have as a ringtone) and The End

Though I knew the first time I heard "Ladies and Gentlemen" late last year I said to myself that it would be the theme to WM23

I'm not sure what the song is called and I don't know which Wrestlemania it was, but I'm pretty positive it was from the Wrestlemania with Foley vs Rock vs HHH vs Big Show.

Anyway...the song went something like "Ooooooooooo California" It was sung by a group of females. It was just a fun song. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

You're right, it was WM2000. According to Wiki, it was a Jim Johnston piece.

I liked how the theme to the '94 Survivor Series was the same as the music from the "Beef....it's whats for dinner" commercials. I wonder what they were trying to tell us?

But I like the WWF late 80's PPV themes which totally rocked the sax.

it also had a male rapper as the lead, the song can be found on the wwe anthology 3 cd set from 2002.

I liked the wm theme from 6-8, the wrestlemania the album theme and the instrumental which was used for wms 10-13 and as linda mcmahons theme.

Old school superstars and challenge themes, but thats' not ppv

They were showing a 3 doors down dvd at CC last night so when I hear that song it made me think of wm 21, plus when I heard "here without you" I thought of Eddie Guerrero.

wm 20 theme "step up" was pretty good and the other song used at the beg. of the video package that night

I really like the Royal Rumble 2005 theme "find the real" for some reason, especially the rumble video package they used (not on the ppv, but its an extra on the original dvd)

Unforgiven 2002 Which I attended used "Adrenaline" from the XXX movie, and it worked well, especially when used with an undertaker highlights video.

Survivor Series 98 "Deadly Game" , a redone "more rock" version was used for No Way Out 2006, but the first one was better.

Superstar by Saliva WM 18

wm 17 "my way" limp bizkit

wm 19 "crack addict" limp bizkit funny title but it fit with the video package nicely

wm 21 both songs

wm 22 I liked the shinedown song, but the Big Time song was a bit too cheesy.

Vengeance 2006 "Victim" by 18 Visions

Summerslam 2006 "The Enemy" by godsmack

Good theme for that WM, especially with the show being in Anaheim and all, but it was also pretty much a straight rip-off of "California Love" by Tupac.

"Superstar" for WM18 (even if Saliva's lead singer whiffed on getting the crowd fired up by screaming "Wrestlemania! Get your ass off your shoulders!" as they were playing at the event) was a fitting song for WM. "Always" for SurSer 02 was pretty good too. "Control" by Puddle of Mudd (a band I don't really particularly like) was fitting for the "Winner Takes All" main event on the show.

And while everybody remembers Peter Gabriel's "Big Time" from last year's WM, the "Big Time" by Soundtrack of our Lives the year before was better than it was ever given credit for.

The ones they used for 20 (the opening part of "Touche" and then "Step Up") worked. I remember liking "Cocky" as a theme at one of the Rumbles (2002?) too.

Armageddon was always a good one as well.

Big Time by Peter Gabriel from Wrestlemania 22.

Something different from the usual generic rock shite the WWE use.

I'll second that, as well as Enemy by Godsmack, Always/Superstar/Ladies and Gentleman by Saliva, and Cocky by Kid Rock (which was '02 Royal Rumble, to answer the question of earlier).

It's hardly my favourite, but the cheesy song from Superstars 96 deserves a mention..."Welllll Mankind, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels Heartbreaker. Bret Hart show them how, Uh-oh here comes Vader now".

It begins and ends with this

Roll the dice

play your cards

break the rules

thats thats who you are

whoever said play it safe never played the game (never played the game)

so many players

too many pawns

too many judges saying whats right or wrong

let them jump into the fire if they want to play (want to play)

Cuz its a deadly game

we play as we live our lives

Deadly game

When we say what is on our minds

Deadly game

play it now before the game is over

two simple rules the devil hands us

make your mistakes...

but no second chances

every time that you stand up is a nother chance to fall

Cuz its a deadly game

we play as we live our lives

Deadly game

When we say what is on our minds

Deadly game

play it now before the game is over

(ha ha ha)

aquired money once again AZ

firm style back in effect

Lets do this

new regime

each one teach one

take time to read some

the young speed one

money that buys the wheat one

where we from the coast trees you keep one

if not it will be your lungs that bleats one

repeat none most statics that meet one

lost until eternal sleep comes

all are black holla back

no burns no concerns straight away no turns

judgement day causin no markers

how the hell its getting darker

as they carry you away you wonder what went wrong (what went wrong? what went wrong? what went wrong?

Cuz its a deadly game

we play as we live our lives

Deadly game

When we say what is on our minds

Deadly game

play it now before the game is over

Deadly game

its a deadly game we play with our lives

Deadly game

see whats on our minds

Deadly game

play it now before the game is over

Cuz its a deadly game

we play as we live our lives

Deadly game

When we say what is on our minds

Deadly game

play it now before the game is over

I'll agree that Deadly Game was an awesome theme, but it would have helped if the WWF actually used the version with lyrics. The only lyrics heard at the time in 1998 were the continuous shouting of "Deadly Game!"

I just go that wreckless intent cd and the new version of deadly game is on there, it sucks compared to the original (plus they cut out the rapping part lol)

I think the only time you heard the lyrics the first one was the opening video of survivor series 98

other ones I forgot

No Way out 2003 used Bring Me to Life by Evanescenceand that was the first time Id hear dthat song or hear dabout the band to be honest, fit well into video packages bu weird to use for a ppv

Bad Blood 2003 Headstrong

Survivor Series 2002 Always by Saliva

SummerSlam 2002 "Fight" wwe produced song

Backlash 2004 "eyes Wide shut"

They did use the rapping part at the actual PPV. It's at the beginning of the show.

Man, I wish somebody would upload the commercial for Survivor Series '98 onto YouTube already! I freaking LOVED that commercial. I'm not kidding when I say that seeing that commercial was the beginning of me watching the WWF again.

I think the Wrestlemania and Royal Rumble boxsets do not do a good job showcasing the themes. I'm talking specifically of the older ones. I think most of the time the theme was used was during the countdown. Remember when you'd buy a pay-per-view and have the half-hour countdown with the ticker on the bottom? This was well before any free for all's. I mainly bought Royal Rumbles, but I remember at least 3 of them that I got did that. THat's when you heard the theme, it was used very sparingly on the actual show itself.

Because of this, it's hard to really remember what they sound like. I like the old school Royal Rumble theme. Maybe the best theme EVER of course was Saturday Night's Main Event.

I nominate:

- Manson's The Beautiful People when it served as the Raw Is War theme for all of a week or two. Combined with the shot of Austin walking into the warehouse in the opening montage, it just worked.

- Puddle Of Mudd's Nothing Left To Lose for Rumble 04.

- The old school Wrestlemania theme (heard at the end of Rumble 94, for instance)

"Click Click Boom" by Saliva for Survivor Series 2001 was also a good one...ditto with Shinedown's "I Dare You" for WM 22

actually click click was used for No Mercy 2001 but yea it ruled (as mentioned before Control by Puddle of Mudd was the theme for Sur Series 01, although the armageddon theme "the end" was used in the opening video to signify the end of the Alliance vs WWF era)
