Reasons Why Daivari & Estrada Were Pulled From WWE TV

The reason WWE pulled Daivari from his heel speaking role is because the company is becoming more sensitive to accusations that they are exploiting the war in Iraq or terrorist threats in general. Daivari, who is deemed fearless backstage, didn't care to push the envelope and never asked the writers to tone anything down. However, WWE television network affiliates have voiced their displeasure with the character, promoting its removal.

 

Speaking of controversial mouthpieces, Armando Estrada has not been seen with Umaga as of late because the McMahons felt that they had one people too many out to ringside with their wrecking crew. Some readers had thought that maybe Estrada was feeling some backstage heat, however, that is not the case and he will return with Umaga once he is finished as Vince McMahon's henchman

 

Which is funny since I read that in OVW they are trying to push an Iraqi tag team.

IMO, I think it is : John Cena vs Batista

 

They both were pushed to World Champion status at the same time, they have incredible charisma and popularity, they are talented workers, they can work the mic, etc.

 

It would be a main event of amazing proportion !

I perferred the Rumble match. Kennedy was in control of pretty much the entire match. I wasn't really a fan of either finish

Did he do it with a chair, or was it a shot off the post? Either way it was the match where Batista wouldn't stop beating on Kennedy and go himself DQed. Either way Kennedy had a nasty gash on his head and bled like a motherfucker.

So... does anyone else utterly hate Great Khali the way I do? Can't wrestle, can't bump, can't talk, always looks green, and killed a guy in-ring. I don't get the point. He's only 2 inches taller than Big Show and Andre, but can't do any of the cool stuff they could.

 

I understand that wrestling is a highly subjective media/artform in which everyone has their own separate opinions. As a Libra, I pride myself on being able to comprehend the mindsets and motivations of those different from me. That being said, I just don't fucking get anyone who likes this big goof.

 

You like Cena, Punk, or Orton? I don't agree, but I understand the argument. You hate Undertaker, Carlito, or RVD? I don't agree, but I understand. But... frigging Giant Singh?

Khali has 'something'. I know he's not amazing, I know he can't do shit, but for some reason he seems mean, aggressive and a monster. Paul Wight didn't seem to have that quality for me, even when they pushed him that way. Perhaps it was the mishap booking of his character monster one moment, face the next, it devalued him over time.

When Khali comes out though, the WWE had used him well enough to make me think the moment his music starts up, whoever in the ring is royally fucked. He just has a wicked heel monster aura about him. He doesn't look like most big men either. He's really well built for a guy his size.

That's all due to the booker, not the wrestler. Big Show was turned face/heel at least twice a year for his entire career, and got pinned pretty often. Khali has (til recently) been presented as nothing but an unstoppable monster.

 

But, "aggressive"? He's really slow, his offense looks like shit, and personally I think he often looks nervous, confused, or unsure of himself.

They did the same thing when Kane first came, and 1000 times better. The whole unbeatable big guy is rather overplayed, and I really don't dig it. If Khali were somewhat mobile and not just some huge clutz, I don't think I'd mind him as much.

 

Kane was a much better bad ass freak of nature back in the day than Khali ever will be.

He's slow, lumbering and pretty damn boring, but he's visually impressive and covers for the fact that he can't bump by simply not bumping. Does this make for interesting matches? No. Does it make him look like a total badass? Yes. Until of course he meets my favourite wrestler of all time John Cena. Now, if he'd taken Cena out and won the title, held it for a few months while casually destroying all challengers and then finally lost it to Cena in a rematch, that would be one thing. Jobbing him out doesn't really achieve much, I don't think.

Exactly. Gotta hate the way WWE builds up monsters for a year or so and just when they become believable monsters, jobbing to my favourite wrestler of all time John Cena screws them up and they become Vince's "personal enforcers", jobbing to whoever Vince feuds with :/
