ANKLELOCK 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2007 Has anyone mentioned the fact that Sandman will apparently have to be in the main event of Vengeance due to his being a former ECW World Champion? Lashley's in there, so Sandman will surely be as well, right?
Human Fly 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2007 I guess the idea of an ECW tag division has been put on hiatus for the moment... I am really surprised that they moved Lashley to Raw. They could have had him feud with Benoit, then with Burke, then with Cor Von, then with Nitro and then with Punk. That is a solid year of feuds. Someone joked last Monday about Sandman going to Raw and then putting himself in the Main Event. That would be fantastic. Guys would all be hitting their finishers on him trying to be the one to get the pin.
Thanks for the Fish 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2007 So the final tally is To Raw - King Booker, Bobby Lashley, Snitsky, Ken Kennedy, London/Kendrick, Sandman, Daivari, Regal, Hall From Raw - Flair, Masters, Wilson, Viscera, Dykstra, Victoria, Khali, Eugene, Johnny Nitro To SD! - Masters, Flair, Torrie, Khali, Majors Brothers, Victoria, Kenny Dykstra, Holly, Eugene From SD! Chris Benoit, Booker T, London/Kendrick, Regal, Daivari, Hall, Boogeyman, Kennedy, Mizanin To ECW - Chris Benoit, Boogeyman, Mike Mizanin, Viscera, Johnny Nitro From ECW - Lashley, Snitzky, Sandman, Holly, Majors Bros Did Raw lose anybody that they valued? I mean seriously. ECW even worked over SD! Did Edge piss off HHH that bad that he's going to give him a brutally bad title run?

haVoc 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2007 The ECW world title scene looks better then Smackdown. Edge only has Batista to work with still.
Human Fly 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2007 Did Edge piss off HHH that bad that he's going to give him a brutally bad title run? After Batista the only face guys who can even hope to sustain a Main Event program are Kane, Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio. Undertaker will be back around the Rumble, but does anyone think he will ever be a full timer again?
Downhome 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2007 I think it's funny that while RAW didn't really lose anyone that really matters to them, they gained five potential main eventers - King Booker, Bobby Lashley, Snitsky, Ken Kennedy, and William Regal. I don't even think I'm stretching that at all and I actually expect those five guys to be in some sort of main event role over the next few months. Either in the actual main event, or the match right below the title match. Hell, if they actually did the thing with Sandman, he'd make #6. Add those guys to the four or five guys already on RAW who are at the main event level, and that's quite the group. What they've done, pretty much, is stock RAW with the guys for Cena and HHH to deal with for the rest of the year.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2007 The ECW world title scene looks better then Smackdown. Edge only has Batista to work with still. Except I thought the point of having Edge look so freaked out while Cena laughed at Edge when Khali to SD was announced to make it look like Khali will enter the title hunt for Edge's title now? Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2007 well RAW IS their #1 rated show...it would make sense to put their top names on it... and don't give me that garbage about "Smackdown could be #1 if they gave it a chance"...it comes on Friday nights, it will NEVER get Raws ratings... I forgot about Khali, nor am I looking forward to that. The ECW picture looks like Benoit, Punk, Burke, Cor Von and Nitro. You can mix up a bunch of different matches with those guys. Scroby 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2007 I'm still surprised about Sandman being moved from ECW to Raw. ECW's realy lacking in faces so I figured they would keep the faces around so the heel/face balance would be better but I guess it still works out. ECW has a really good singles roster, plus Miz and Nitro could form a tag team if need be.

They are going to need to build Khali up some after having him job to John Cena every way possible. Switching Kennedy from SD to Raw is mind boggling. So it will probably turn into a six-pack challenge

garfieldsnose 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2007 Honestly, I don't know why many of you could be missing a major angle happening here. Kennedy drafted to RAW....he could coast in a few feuds...up until the Rumble. Wins the Rumble, turns face in the process while challenging Edge for SD's World Title. SD pretty much has their next two champs in line if they're gonna keep it on Edge. Why rush an Edge/Kennedy feud? Slow build = big payoff. I'd love to see Kennedy vs. Edge at WM 24 with Kennedy winning.
garfieldsnose 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2007 Looking back, I realize the flaw in my argument. Kennedy would be on fire when he returns. But, that's the risk you take if you want to capitalize on a major feud that could happen in the future. Barring any more injuries, I'd love to see an Edge/Kennedy feud that lasts longer than a month.

I'd love to see Kennedy vs. Edge at WM 24 with Kennedy winning. You know, looking back on it when Kennedy first got injured we all thought he was going to be out for this entire year, and the big angle we were all talking about was KK making his return in the Royal Rumble, to then go after Edge at WM not only for the title, but for revenge. That angle could still play out, and it would still work perfectly. Now I'm once again hoping that it happens.
Thanks for the Fish 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2007 I think Finlay is heading towards a face turn and think he'll be next in line after Batista is eliminated. I think Edge and Hornswoggle will have great interactions with each other, and once the program is over Finlay could heel rather easily by just beating the stuffing out of Hornswoggle. MVP is another face possibility to challenge Edge. Sure he's a heel know, but I don't think it would be hard to turn him face if needed. Matt Hardy and Mysterio could be solid feuds for Edge as well. Batista - Finlay - Mysterio - Hardy - MVP - Undertaker - would make a pretty solid title reign.
Human Fly 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2007 ECW is a bit short on faces, I would not mind an expanded role for Tommy Dreamer. Maybe the E has an under the table deal with RVD after he takes the summer off and will plug him back in to the top when he returns? I would like to see a Benoit - Nitro program. Nitro could really benefit. Too bad Heyman is not in an active role with the company anymore. I think Nitro with mic skills would be a rocket ship to the top.
