Mecca Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 Oddly when he was debuting Heyman actually suggested his name be Ken Kennedy to suck up to McMahon and it might help him get a push in the future.......guess he was right.
edgehead69 Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 Have any of you all seen the No Mercy PPV Poster? If you have, then what does the pidgeon symbolize?
foleyfanforever88 Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 Have any of you all seen the No Mercy PPV Poster? If you have, then what does the pidgeon symbolize? I'm guessing something like helplessness, going along with Orton's gimmick of ending careers and stuff. The pigeon is just sitting there, unaware of its impending destruction.
Atticus Chaos Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 I thought it was the dove of peace. And Orton crushing it was like a declaration of war or something.
Dobbs 3K Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 I think Vince said he staged the entire thing. Yeah, he said on RAW he faked it to see how much people appreciated him, or something to that effect.
DrVenkman PhD Posted August 10, 2007 Author Report Posted August 10, 2007 http://www.wwe.com/shows/smackdown/article...valuableprogram This seems like it could warrant it's own thread, but it also seems conveniently timed. I'm not trying to be cynical about it, but the headline "MOST VALUABLE PROGRAM" while the Wellness Program is under heat comes off as a bit much.
bob_barron Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 I guess that ticking noise was actually his heart
Thanks for the Fish Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 Wwe has a poll up for a new John Morrison t-shirt - http://poll.wwe.com/johnmorrison/ First one is probably the best of the bunch for a Doors rip-off/vibe. "Beyond Good and Evil" is sorta silly though better than "Shaman of Sexy"...

"Beyond Good and Evil" is sorta silly though better than "Shaman of Sexy"... Hey, give me an overdone Nietzsche reference before a crappy attempt at alliteration any day. And I am digging Morrisonitro's "Palace of Wisdom" promos. Is it just me, or is he almost getting good on the mike?
Obi Chris Kenobi Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 His move to ECW might be the best thing to ever happen to the WWE if they give him time and space to run with it, to just let himself go. I've always enjoyed his appearances, even as Bischoffs assistant haha.
cabbageboy Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 That Orton poster for No Mercy seems like something out of a John Woo movie. As far as Kennedy goes I thought the initial story was that Vince was ultra high on him and wanted him to use Kennedy as his last name, but the Heyman part makes sense too. Oh and if he had kept his real last name he would now be Mr. Anderson. Wonder if he would do a Matrix gimmick?
AntiLeaf33 Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 The HHH/Kennedy fued sounds kind of interesting. I don't even mind if HHH ends up on top of the fued, as long as its a decent fued and Kennedy goes over HHH at least once in a singles match. Also, I'm really digging that Orton poster. Pretty creepy shit
edgehead69 Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 I thought it was the dove of peace. And Orton crushing it was like a declaration of war or something. Correction.. it is a dove... but isnt that a sign of life? maybe he will give birth to something... a new faction? "Beyond Good and Evil" is sorta silly though better than "Shaman of Sexy"... The kid has a way with words.... i liked the third.... lately all the shirts we have to vote on have been crap.... just look at the Kane, Batista and CM Punk... the last i remember was cool was the grey orton shirt..
haVoc Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 WWE's ladder match DVD is on PPV today. It's about 2 1/2 hours long and $14.95. Is it worth the price? I can DVR it.
DrVenkman PhD Posted August 11, 2007 Author Report Posted August 11, 2007 MVP vs Matt Hardy in a boxing match is all set for SNME.
AntiLeaf33 Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 That should be interesting. Wonder how Matt will fare?
razazteca Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 Oh and if he had kept his real last name he would now be Mr. Anderson. Wonder if he would do a Matrix gimmick? Wasn't there a diva that used the name Trinity? Morpheus could of been Coach But then again too many people are wearing fancy sun glasses and leather jackets.

Probably not when you can buy the dvd itself for $22 on Amazon. I'm betting that the Benoit match(es) got cut from the PPV version as well.

I was hoping he'd become the Pigeon Killer as a way for Vince to piss off the World Wildlife Fund or something.
Boxer Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 I haven't been following Smackdown close enough lately but I have a question. The Long-Krystal-Guerrero storyline. What is the payoff here? Heel turn from Long? Long loses job to Guerrero and it was a step up between Krystal and Vickie all along? Also, is Guerrero a, shudder, face now? Is Krystal a face, heel, etc??? I do think a new Smackdown GM would freshen things up, but not Vickie.

I was thinking Kristal dumps Teddy at the altar, he's so heartbroken he can't continue so Vickie takes over. Which was Kritstals' plan all along.

I'm in the same boat as you only following Smackdown pretty much through reading spoilers and write ups in the Observer, but it seems to me as though this storyline has been going on forever.

Exactly my thoughts, I basically lost track of the storyline, but only because it's on WWE.com that I rememberd about this.

2GOLD Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 That Orton picture would have scared me more if he was holding a pie with the gates of Toon Town opening behind him. Then I would have been terrified for so many reasons.
The Buzz Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 Does anyone have a list of all the "legends" that Randy Orton has "killed"?
Dobbs 3K Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 "Legends Defeated - as legend killer, Orton has "killed" the legends of singles wrestlers and tag teams alike: The Fabulous Moolah Shawn Michaels - Unforgiven 2003 Stone Cold Steve Austin - Survivor Series 2003 Sgt. Slaughter Rock 'n' Sock Connection (Mick Foley and The Rock'- WrestleMania XX) Cactus Jack (Mick Foley) - Backlash 2004 Chris Benoit - Summerslam 2004 Ric Flair - Taboo Tuesday 2004 Jake "The Snake" Roberts Jerry "The King" Lawler D-Generation X (Triple H and Shawn Michaels) Rob Van Dam - One Night Stand 2007 Dusty Rhodes" That list is from wikipedia...so it is likely incomplete or partly incorrect. Of course, some of those are arguable, too.
