What was the very first post you ever made on the board?

Don't ask me why I thought of this, just thought it might be fun to see some old nostalgic stuff without bumping threads.

Mine was about the soon to be launched Wrestling Channel in England, still going strong 4 years on with MMA shown now as well

Ok, we finally have a start date for the wrestling channel wub.gif , it will be 24 hours a day, and will be shown in blocks of 12 hours, for instance, 9am till 9pm, then 9pm till 9am repeated what was shown, on The Wrestling Channel every week will be

BYW - Not sure about this one

CZW - All shows

NWA TNA(Both PPV and Xplosion)

NWA wildside - TV show

USWA - TV show

ROH - They are planning to show all ROH shows, one per week, starting from the beginning which I think was The Era Of Honor begins or something like that, the one with Eddie v Super Crazy on it)

WZW - TV show

FWA - Excellent English Wrestling Federation

RF Video will also be showing Shoots and Videos on there.

There was going to be XPW but due to their problems, not any more.

Start Date will be 4th April 2003, this channel will be

Free-To-Air on Sky Digital, negotiations are still going on for NTL/Telewest, there is no plans for it to launch on Freeview.

There will be test screenings of this channel over Christmas, showing Frontiers Of Honor(A FWA/ROH joint show, awesome stuff) and several shoots, the test broadcasts will be shown on Friendly TV, channel 268.

This is going to be one fuck of a channel, I cant wait.

I can't be sure, but it was probably this, from the first-ever SmackDown thread:

It's great to be in Canada...we get craptacular an hour earlier!

There are a couple of rather interesting NEWNEWNEW ads for no Way out, though. One of them complete with Porno Music.

I did this before, but for some reasons did it in CS instead of General.

Anyway, it was me saying that Doug Basham as a jobber on Velocity looked like a built version of Mark-Linn Baker (Larry from Perfect Strangers). That got some good discussion going.

It was some such stuff about how Kansas State was going to beat Oklahoma in the Big XII Title Game, how Georgia was going to keep LSU out of the title game and Michigan and USC were going to play in the Sugar Bowl. They played, just not in the Sugar Bowl.

I make a bold prediction Michigan and SC in the Sugar Bowl and K-State wins 34-20 tommorrow night while Georgia blows out LSU

Goodness.

Oldest one I could find is this one-

I know I get upset when customers try to mob me outside of my job for my autographs or at least an acknowledgment of their adulation for me...

That was on 8/24/2003. Seems right, although I'm pretty sure I had been posting for longer than that. I lurked for a while, and took two board hiatuses since then, but have been around fairly consistently since.. wow, since about early 2004. With pretty much no breaks.

That's really weird.

Yep. I was around since the Keith days, but none of that stuff has been saved, unless it's at archive.org or something similar. Anyway, here's the oldest post of mine that's still recorded, funnily enough in the OAOAST:

::Wanders around the street, whacking various innocent random passersby in the groin.::

"Hey, it worked for Jackass."

Shane stole my idea and tried to do it at Summerslam, apparently.

RedBaron hooked me up with a login name and password, which I'm not sure how he wound up with. My first post was a stance against the Iraq war. I used the name for about a week before I realised I wasn't a big enough Alice In Chains fan to have a username of Jar of Flies, and came up with something more appropriate.

As for my first CG post,

The Final Curtain match was the way to end a semi-feud between Undertaker and Goldust. It was pinfall only, not even submission.

I have 4 pairs of shoes, 2 pairs of boots, 1 pair of sandals and 1 pair of slippers. People are always calling me Imelda Marcos and I'm wondering if I'm really that far ahead of the curve.

A thread I started about how many pairs of shoes you own. I had been here years already, though.

The funny part is that I'm now up to 22 pairs of shoes.

From a thread about the first album you ever bought.

Alice In Chains "Jar of Flies", I was about 14. Still listen to it to this day.

Eh, I was a horrible poster when I started.

Wooo...WWE.com mentioned Sabu. That's gotta be like a first...

yeah, they actually showed clips from the neck break match on Byte This! thursday, I really like this Spotlight thing they are doing, you can see clips from a bunch of matches, and hopefully they are going to do a different wrestler each month, it's actually pretty insightful.

Regarding this place: First! Sorry. I've always wanted to do that.

I took CE's cherry while she was shit-faced and passed out on the guest bedroom.

And it's nice to know that even way back when, people still double-posted.

How were you able to pull up a post from February of '02? I'd love to find some of mine from then..

Yeah really. There was this one time in 02 where I was constantly buzzing or drunk for like 72 hours and was posting the whole time. I had some gold plated shit there. I need to find it again.

My first post made mention of how I found Markie Post and Crystal Bernard to be guilty pleasures of mine in the old Love, sex and dating folder back in 2004. What a way to make my debut.

"Holy shoot did you guys see Mark Lynn Baker in there all roided up as Doug Basham? Cousin Larry is doing well for himself"

I then followed it up with it's own pointless thread:

How were you able to pull up a post from February of '02? I'd love to find some of mine from then..

The only way I know of to find old posts (easily) is to go to members search, click on "view members posts", then click the button for the last page.

His thread was the first one created in a particular section, it would therefore not be a hard find.

But the forum crashed in June '03, and any posts before that show up as being from guests and aren't searchable.

I just looked in the WWE folder from around the time my account was created. Select "Show All Posts" in the folder you're in, and go to the last page. In the WWE folder, you have to wade through about 6 pages of posts that were moved to other forums before you get to the really old posts.

My first post was either in WWE forums or Current Events, as I was introduced to the board by Dangerous_A at a job we had together. Back then wrestling was actually interesting enough to post regularly about.

At THIS board...

Take away the "Corey" part of the SN and you get who I was at the other Board. Or take away the "416" part to get my original EZBoard name...heh...

My favorite moment in all of wrestling was the moment right after the Cruiserweight Battle Royale at WCW SlamBoree 1998, when "Ciclope" won to get the #1 contendership. If you don't know what happened, you don't deserve to.

In the "Re-introduce ourselves thread." I was CoreyLazarus416 then, and at the original Smarks board (towards the end of its run) I was either CoreyLazarus or just Lazarus.

Holy crap, that Mattitude shirt is horrible. I feel 12.6% gayer for just seeing it.
