NFL week X! DIVISIONAL DESTRUCTION!

Recommended Posts

They don't have to be consistently excellent, though; they just have to be above-average for about half the game and then just start Madden-ing everybody with the hail mary into triple coverage on fourth and inches from their own twelve.

Buffalo really needs to win this week to continue their winning streak and gain confidence for the Sunday night matchup versus the Pats. I just have this sick feeling though that the Dolphins might win.

I dont think so, i see the streak continuing...Lynch, Losman, and Lee are all clicking great....hopefully Lynch manhandles the defense

Lost amongst all the talk about a perfect season is the fact that the Pats already broke the record for the longest winning streak in league history with 21 games in a row from 2003-2004 (ended by the Pittsburgh Steelers, no less). The 72-73 Dolphins are tied with 5 other franchises at 18 games in a row.

New England really doesn't have anything to prove after this. If they go perfect, and smash through the postseason, I don't know what else they can say they've accomplished. Fuck, if I was Belichick or Brady, I'd be happy to retire with that intact.

Brady wants a regular-season MVP and his 3rd Super Bowl MVP to tie him with Montana, both of which could be accomplished this season. If those get locked up, the goal shifts to becoming the greatest of all time. As evidenced by this season, Belichick and Brady won't stop unless they have to.

I really hope Losman can stay healthy and come into his own. The Bills deserve something to go right.

I can't believe Henry couldn't go 2 days after reinstatement before getting involved in more shit.

NEWPORT, Ky. -- Chris Henry could face another legal obstacle before he hits the field for the Cincinnati Bengals.

The troubled wide receiver is the subject of a police complaint filed Tuesday in Newport, where a valet attendant accused Henry of shoving him during an argument.

Jason Baker, of Bellevue, told police that Henry became angry when asked to pay $5 for parking at Newport On The Levee, and he said the football player cursed him and asked if the driver knew who he was.

According to the complaint, Henry stood chest to chest with Baker and forced him to walk backward, before throwing a $5 bill to the ground saying, “You’d better pick that up, (expletive).”

Baker said he picked up the bill, handed it to Henry and told him to leave before he called police.

Henry’s companion got between the pair and pushed a microphone into the attendant’s face as he tried to call police from his valet booth, the report said.

The attendant said he believed Henry intended to fight him before security arrived and the football player’s friend pulled him away, and police said the pair fled in a vehicle across the Taylor Southgate Bridge toward Cincinnati.

Police were called back to Newport On The Levee a short time later when Baker said Henry and Alston Dyneal had returned, and officers banned the pair from the popular dining and entertainment complex.

The attendant said Henry and Dyneal walked past him on their way to the parking garage and warned him that he should hope never to see them again.

Officers told Baker to file a criminal complaint, and the report indicated that Henry and his friend could potentially be charged with menacing or harassment.

Henry was activated Monday by the Bengals, having completed an eight-game suspension for violating the NFL's conduct policy after he was arrested four times in two seasons with the team.

There was no immediate indication whether the most recent incident would trigger a probation violation in Florida, where he is on probation on a 2006 firearm conviction, or additional penalty from the Bengals or the NFL.

The Bengals declined comment until more information was released about the incident.

Skins/Eagles is usually a close game. I trust the Redskins defense to limit Philly, however Washington's offense has been poor as of late. They rushed for over 200 yards against the Jets, but it was the Jets. If the Redskins running game stays on track, then it should help their flailing passing game.

I'll take the Skins by a TD at home.

Redskins 21

Eagles 14

If that turns out to all be Henry's crazy fault and the Bengals don't cut ties with Henry now, I don't understand them. He's probably never going to see the field again because his stupid decision button seems jammed in the on position. I understand he has talent and you want to give him chances but damn, getting into a fight over five dollars. FIVE GOD DAMN DOLLARS?! He's in the NFL right? He's got millions right?

The only thing I'm confused by is why exactly did Henry's friend have a microphone?

The Bills on a winning streak.

The Dolphins on an 8-game losing streak.

Both are going to continue!

Until the Bills lose 107-7 in New England next week!

At night in BUFFALO!!1

I'll only be at the shitty Miami game, though.

Gus needs a promotion!

They are going to blame hip hop.

But to me, this just seems like no big deal, and like I always say, if there is a story about a argument and one person says they were completely innocent and did absoloutely nothing to provoke it, they are fucking lying.

You will be able to take henrys story, take the attendants story and meet in the middle somewhere to find the closest thing to the truth.

As it stand right now, the attendant is saying he just asked Henrey for 5 dollars and he tried to fight him. Yeah. Okay.

Yep, that was stupid. I guess I meant it in the context that having the streak end would take some of their confidence away before the New England game so they really need to keep it going, and winning this week is quite obviously the only way to do that.

Just spotted this on The Great Blue North Draft page...

(3:00 PM): Draft times cut… The NFL announced earlier today that the time that teams have to make their first and second rounds picks at the 2008 draft will be reduced. Teams used to have 15 minutes to make their opening round pick and ten for the second round selections. However, after the 2007 round dragged on for a record 6 hours and 8 minutes, teams will now have only 10 minutes to make their first round picks and 8 for their second round selections. As well, the starting time of the draft will be pushed back from Noon ET on Saturday to 3 PM and only the first and second rounds will be held on the first day. Meanwhile, Sunday’s 5 rounds will start at 10 AM ET up from 11 AM. There will be no change to the time limit for picks in rounds 3 though 7 at 5 minutes for each selection. This year’s draft will be held April 26-27 at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

Theres no way the Ravens are gonna win today unfortunately.

No Chris McCallister, Ed Reed, Samari Rolle or Terrell Suggs. Im sensing the crappy scrub team secondary giving up at least as many points as they did vs Pittsburgh. Carson Palmer's gonna have a field day. And that terrible Bengals defense is gonna look pretty awesome vs McNair.

Todd Heap might play though..he should be able to run 8 yard routes well enough.

What the hell is going on this week? Rams, Dolphins and Falcons are all winning, and Cleveland is ahead of Pittsburgh.

Cleveland is hardly a surprise.

At Pittsburgh, of course it's a surprise.

Its a surprise, but not that big of one.

The big surprise to me is Ryan Grant running over the Vikings while Peterson isn't doing much of anything.

Oh, come on, Miami is up 3-0 against the Bills at halftime. John Shoop isn't Dick Jauron's offensive coordinator, so Buffalo is probably going to score at some point.
