BorneAgain 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2007 From Wrestlezone.com and PWInsider.com Dark Match: OVW's Charles Evans beat Chavo Guerrero. -- The Major Brothers won a tag team battle royal to earn a title shot later "tonight." Other teams were Deuce/Domino, Jesse/Festus, Drew McIntyre/Dave Taylor and Jimmy Wang Yang/Shannon Moore. The Majors eliminated Deuce/Domino for the win. -- Victoria w/Kenny beat Michelle McCool w/Chuck Palumbo. Victoria won with a DDT. -- Finlay beat Rey Mysterio after knocking Rey off the top rope as Rey was about to hit a West Coast Pop and hitting the Celtic Cross. Match had to have gone around 20 minutes, really good stuff. -- CM Punk beat Jaime Noble. Afterwards, the Miz attacked Punk and John Morrison attacked Miz, leading to a three way brawl. Punk won the day, but was laid out by Noble. -- MVP/Matt Hardy beat The Major Brothers to retain. -- The Undertaker beat The Great Khali in a No Holds Barred match. No weapons were used, Taker won with a Triangle choke. (Post Show) After Undertaker wins, JBL gets on the mike and gets in the ring telling the Undertaker to get out of the ring or he will beat him down. Taker then gives JBL a choke slam and Tombstone, then leaves with the pose on the stage.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2007 OMG UT IS USING MMA MOVES, BEST MATCH EVAR!!!! anyway, sounds like a pretty solid episode, I'll be tuning in. No World Champion on this episode? That's odd. Must be some promo or something that wasn't reported here.

haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2007 I'll have to see how the Finlay/Mysterio match comes across on TV. The thing that surprises me about it is Finlay picked up a clean win over someone. They usually resort to the DONE-TO-FUCKING-DEATH "Distract the referee, hit opponent with the shelaylee (however you spell it)" finish for nearly all of Finlay's wins. I'm glad they decided to change it up a little. Punk vs Noble should be pretty good. Can't wait to see that one. The SD tag title scene is a mess. What have the Majors Brothers done to deserve anything?
LivingLegendGaryColeman 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2007 I just saw the card for this before coming and seeing the spoilers. The card had me excited (Tag Team Battle Royal with winners getting title shot that night, Punk/Noble) , these spoilers do not. I think (and hope) it is one of those shows the spoilers do not do justice. I'm curious how Jesse/Festus got eliminated as they pretty much seem to be the team that will dethrone Hardy/MVP unless they throw another partners that can't cooperate/main event team in the mix. Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2007 I still don't like that whole "Bell rings, Festus is a monster, bell rings again Festus goes back to being an idiot" gimmick. I can't wait to see the HILARITY that ensues when someone gets ahold of the ringbell and rings it over and over again.

I can't wait to see the HILARITY that ensues when someone gets ahold of the ringbell and rings it over and over again. I haven't been able to watch SD since their debut. I only saw them wrestle in a dark match prior to a Smackdown taping a couple of months ago. Festus was doing a good job of portraying the monster of the team, but I haven't seen him use this bell-ringing gimmick yet. I can only imagine how lame this comes across on TV. Thanks for the Fish 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2007 Actually sounds like a pretty damn good offering, save Yang and Moore's inclusion in the tag team battle royale and the continuation of the Palumbo vs Dykstra feud I don't think anybody cares about. I would have liked to see Miz/Morrison in the battle royal, only to start fighting with each other and eliminate each other. I like MMA-Undertaker and look forward to seeing the triangle choke finish. I mean you can't expect UT to chokeslam, Last Ride or even Big Boot Khali. I hope it was a passable match, Kane and Khali have had decent matches in the past. I have a feeling this will be the last we see of Khali as a regular wrestler, I think he might partner up with Hornswoggle at/after Survivor Series and be more of a special attraction fan favorite type. Finlay vs Mysterio could be really good, and it looks like they were given enough time. Must See TV for me. How much time was Noble vs Punk given? Hopefully at least 7-8 minutes. I expect Punk to have given Noble too much offense considering Noble is a virtual jobber and Punk is ECW world champion, but the match will be better for it. I find it interesting that Noble was allowed to get his heat back after the loss though. I'd kill to see Noble traded to ECW fulltime. I dig Hardy and MVP as tag champs, however wish MVP would drop his US Title if he's never going to defend it. SD! could use that to get some other midcard guy over - even if it was inserted in the Palumbo vs Dykstra feud(cringe).

Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2007 Punk-Noble is match I've personally been waiting to see since Punk came to WWE. They had a few good matches during the Gibson independent run in 2005 and I hope this match got a acceptable amount of time. The booking suggests that they'd have a rematch. Guest DCH Report post Posted November 8, 2007 mmm, Taker using Triangle Choke isn't anything new, he's done it heaps of times in the past especially with his badass gimmick. Festus just makes me laugh. When the bell rang to signal the end of the match, I literally fell off my chair laughing at Festus opening his mouth and sticking his tongue out. Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2007 you weren't around when he had his match with Angle at NWO last year...the amount of jizzing was ridiculously bad. We're talking Peter North levels here.

Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2007 I'm not saying it was a bad match, I'm just saying it was silly because everyone was getting hyped over MMA-type moves being used in the match. It was OK. I'll take his HIAC matches with HBK and Brock over that match any day.

Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2007 glad to see noble getting a push. great match with rey vs finlay too. bizzare to see majors get a big win then quickly get squashed by mvp. and is the CW title now dead? they have yet to fill the vacancy or even talk about it

Garth 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2007 Enjoyable show, it just flew by for me. Finlay vs Rey was a fine match and it was wonderful to see Finlay one for once without the aid of the Shillelagh. I don't remember offhand the last time he won without it. Punk vs Noble - Decent, shame about the finish. Continuing the small Noble push was nice though. He's definatly getting over through a combination of being given time to speak and getting matches on a regular basis. Two tv matches this week for him, just shocking. Leaving Punk laying like that at the end of the show leads me to the conclusion that there will be more between the pair of them. Batista's promo was short and effective. That's exactly how his promos should be. Undertakers triangle choke for those that don't follow MMA, just looks like crap in my book. I don't think I'd buy it making Khali tap like that if I didn't already know how powerful it is. I think it could come off much more effectively if done on someone smaller though, it just looked horrible done on Khali.
