Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 I make it a point to buy porn at the airport, but I wouldn't at a convenience store.
PILLS! PILLS! PILLS! 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2008 my very first porn mags were bought at a gas station. It was a three pack, Cheri and some other ones I can't remember. High Society was one, I think. Aren't the three packs usually used magazines?
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2008 The pages weren't sticky, so I wouldn't really know. It was the first and only time I've bought porn magazines.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2008 I don't get that pages being sticky thing. I mean, who cums on the magazine? Though I suppose you could cum on your hands and then touch the magazine.
kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2008 Anyone else checked out a Sheetz? There's one a mile or two down the road from me. I'll go to fill up the tank once in the while or to get a Sunday newspaper. Years ago, some local BPs tried to compete with the "Made To Orders" by ... making pre-packaged sandwiches. the max 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2008 Slush Puppies: I remember getting them in Norton when I was at summer camp. Nothing beats a lemon lime slush puppie. Icee sucks. And for the guy wondering about the gas stations with a restaurant, showers, etc. for truckers you might be thinking of Pilot stations. We have a few in our area and it's a trucker's mecca. All kinds of stupid electronics, every drink you can imagine, sometimes homemade pie. Plus they have an upstairs with a lounge area, pool tables and showers. Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2008 Flying J is another classic trucker's one stop. I went there for Thanksgiving dinner once.
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2008 I know of a gas station restaurant that isn't a truck stop. It's not very good but the desserts are pretty good.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Report post Posted February 14, 2008 When I was living up in Ft. Wayne, there was this truck stop right off I-69 and 960 that was next to a couple scaggy tit bars. The lot lizards in their parking area were incredible. Like locusts.
tekcop 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2008 My dad's a truck driver. Flying J is his truck stop of choice. There's two really, really trashy gas stations less than five minutes down the road from my house. I live in the middle of nowhere, so this is pretty odd. I know most of the eployees/owner of one of them, so I generally stop there for my quick candy bar and pop needs, but my girlfriend and I decided to check out the other one a few weeks ago. I haven't been there in probably ten years. It was great. They had a bunch of crappy old movies for rent, sold everything from pipes to used tires and car batteries, and had an ancient Slush Puppy machine. We had to ask the owner how to work it. I was afraid I'd get tetanas or something if I touched it wrong.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2008 Huck's I used to have one of these down the road from me years ago, but they changed to something else. I'm not sure what it's called now, but they suck. Now I can't get a 64-oz fountain drink from anyone unless I buy one of their fucking mugs. Our Milk Barn is now a Gas America, which sucks as well. Milk Barn had a great Adobe Heat snack mix that I used to buy frequently.

RepoMan 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2008 My dad's a truck driver. Flying J is his truck stop of choice. There's a Flying J with awsome fast food chinesse in Ashtabulia, OH
Darthtiki 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2008 There's a truck stop in Sacramento I hear has a killer breakfast, however I've never been there.
JJMc 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2008 My favourite gas station was the one with no pumps. In my town, there is a garage/used car dealership with a big Gulf sign, but there is no gas/store.
Turbo Lion 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 The place is a mecca. If there's a zombie apocalypse, that's where I'm holing up. That's exactly what we have said about a station called "The Flying J" here.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2008 Man, remember when we had that thread about gas stations and liquor stores and I talked up the one right across from where I work? Now they have 24oz Miller Lite for 99 cents. That's soda prices! The one drawback is a 50 cent charge for paying with plastic. I actually just carry cash specifically for that place now, as I go there every day.

We used to be a few of them and play dominoes on the front porch when I was in college. Fun days.

Dandy 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2008 You used to be a 79 cent 22oz Miller Lite? Yes. All the cool kids were doing it. Hey, everybody...VX didn't used to be a 79 cent 22oz Miller Lite! Loser.
CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2008 I damn near loaded up on those the night of Summerslam when I went over the border. The idea of a beer of any size for .99 excites me. Even malt liqour in Canada is like, 5 bucks at its cheapest.
RepoMan 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2008 I had .24s of Molson, Labbat, and Bud for .99 for a few years, they jumped up to 1.19. Now I can only get Busch, Natty Ice, and this 8.1% Huricane shit that really fucks you up for .99.
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2008 It's only after regularly taking the bus places that I understood that Vegas has a shit-ton of 7-11s. I mean, they're seriously at like almost every intersection. There's a lot of Terrible's, the local gas station empire, but everything that isn't is a 7-11. There's a Terrible's somewhere near the touristy parts of town that has what's called the Beer Cave, and it sounds exactly like what you'd think of when you hear the name: a bunch of beer fridges in a dark room themed liked a phony cave. There's a Chevron station just behind the Excalibur casino that's branded as Standard, because as the west-coast affiliate of the broken down Standard Oil monopoly, Chevron must have one Standard station in each state it controls the name or else lose the rights. We also have at least one of those TA truck stop things, and I ate at one in Kingman, AZ. It was the best looking place to eat in a place that was in the middle of nowhere. The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2008 Dude, 24 oz can of Mickey's at the Gas Station is 89 cents, which makes no sense as every liquor store jacks the price of Mickey's up. God, I used to think I'd get diabettis from that damn sugar malt since I'd buy 'em 6 at a time.
Dandy 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2008 Almost every gas station here has a Beer Cave, but they are not dark or made up like a cave. It is a walk-in cooler (fairly large in size), that has stacks and stacks of different types of beer.
Guest C*Z*E*C*H Report post Posted October 10, 2008 Not a gas station, but speaking of beer, I had to pick up some food and drinks the other day when I was at my grandmother's house, and so I ran into this liquor store to grab a 2-liter bottle of Diet Coke or something. I've passed this place a thousand times since I was like two years old, and I don't think they've done any maintenance since then. The walls were all cinderblock with old paneling either duct-taped on the walls or falling off the walls, the lighting was that weird fluorescent lighting that looks sort of yellow, there were empty boxes lying all over the place, and it smelled like mold and failure. I think I've been turned off the entire concept of a liquor store. Just weird and bad.
