All-Time NBA Roster Draft

Recommended Posts

Rod-Strickland-Wizards.jpg

Rod Strickland, PG

My backup to Isiah... Always was underappreciated and always had very good stats for a large part of his career. Never made an all-star team although he problay should have. Perfect back up for Isiah.

Marcus Camby, C

Adding another DPOY to my roster...

Wasn't he the one initially whining that he didn't get in on the first sign up? What a wet blanket.

I'm happy with this guy in the 10th round.

More interior power off the bench...

MORE~!

Coleman.jpg

Derrick Coleman

At his peak was a 20/10 guy, and solid throughout most of his career.

* One of three players in the Sixers 2003-04 roster that was selected with the first overall pick in the NBA draft (Glenn Robinson 1994, Atlanta , Allen Iverson 1996, Philadelphia)

* Selected to All-NBA Third Team in 1993 and 1994

* Started for Eastern Conference at 1994 NBA All-Star Game in Minnesota

act_antonio_mcdyess.jpg

Antonoi McDyess - PF/C

Before his microfracture surgery, he was playing like Amare Stoudemire. Great scorer, can rebound, and can pass well for a big guy. Him backing up Moses and Gilmore is a sick three man pivot rotation.

PG Mark Jackson

265px-Jackson1.jpg

Need a back-up point guard, can't go wrong here. This guy is an assist machine.

87-88 ROY

89 All Star Game

At his peak, good for 10 points/11 assists/4 rebounds per game. Doesn't score in buckets, but he plays great defense and distributes the ball like a champ.

I need a post player who can score and block shots, and keep hippie fans in check.

With my 10th round pick I select:

post-2806-1211925285_thumb.jpg

Jermaine O'Neal/F-C

Career averages with Pacers are 18.7 PPG, 9.7RPG, 2.5 BPG. When healthy he puts up good numbers.

If Czech isn't going to take this seriously can I trade him coaches, cause shit I wanted Sloan.

Should've added for Coleman:

- according to Bill Simmons, the most naturally talented power forward ever

If he had Garnett's heart and intensity, he could've been the best PF ever.

Not sure if there is a really fair way to chop his team up among the other teams, but his attitude towards this has been kind of sad. Why ruin the fun for everyone else? It's not like he's taken bad players from the start, as evidenced by Robinson and Pippen, but my guess is that he thought it would be easier than this and just quit once a lot of players started getting picked. Now he's feigning like he isn't taking it seriously because he really has no clue who to draft. Or maybe I'm analyzing it too deeply and he's just being himself, which is probably a more likely scenario.

Good picks with both DC and Issel. Both underrated PF's for various reasons.

I say let Czech keep picking, we are way too deep to disband a team. And lets see how far a #19 ranked team can go in the simmed tourney!

Yeah, you can't disband a team at this point, and despite the joke picks his team isn't actually that bad, well, his starting 5 isn't that bad at least....

I'm a bit discouraged by the pace of the draft. It seems like things move fairly quickly when we get to the front and back ends, but it's really been dragging the past couple of days. I'd like to just get this thing done so we can start on the judging process, because I figure that'll take a week in itself.

McDyess was a fine pick, he was one of my sleepers but after I took Marion he didn't make sense and I figured he'd be gone around this point. I like the Mark Jackson pick a lot, he was one of the guys I was considering when I took Terry Porter. Rod Strickland was another good pick, I considered him but didn't have him on my board for style of play reasons, but he's great value this late.

I didn't say disband him, I was only joking out a trade. :)

Because you can never have enough size, grit, defense and rebounding...

willisx.jpg

Kevin Willis, C

1 time all-star

1 time all NBA 3rd team

Pretty much a guaranteed double/double in his prime

- Another big guy to throw out there when necessary. He can defend, use his fouls, grab some rebounds and that's all I need him to do really. Plus, a front court doesn't get much nastier than Oakley and Willis.

The ultimate team player and defender. Can defend 4 positions, sometimes even 5 positions, pass, block shots, rebound, and occasionally hit a 3..

andrei_kirilenko5.jpg

Andrei Kirilenko.

1 Time All-Star

3 Time All-Defensive Team (2nd team Twice, 1st team once)
