I'm throwing in the suggestion that Mik actually moderate this thread if need be (sorry dude). I can see this dissolving into a flame-war really quick.

 

I have never really cared for Chuck Liddell, personally. Spoon-fed wrestlers and grapplers for majority of his career and when he faces guys that can best him in the stand-up game he has fits. Despite his KO list he doesn't put on good fights for the most part and if they are it's because of his opponent (Randy Part I, Jardine, Wanderlei). Also has a horrible fanbase, 99% "bros" who want to see somebody get KTFO instead of an actual fight.

Sean Sherk - Boring, juice monkey, and has no personality.

 

Forrest Griffin - Disliked him after he ran off and acted like a total punk after getting KTFO by Jardine.

 

Matt Hughes - Reminds me of that High School jock from teen movies who thought he was better then everyone else, and always picked on people with lesser strength then him. Plus the whole bible class thing in TUF6 makes him look like a douche.

Not a fan of "Manvil" or better yet the hype he is getting so early in his MMA career. All I have seen from the guy is the ability to take down other rooks, and basically lay on them and roll around, and then last week he gets KTFO by Emerson.

I don't hate Kenny Florian. I just don't like him. The thing is, I cannot put my finger on why I don't like him. He's not a prick and he likes to finish fights. Maybe it's because he's so inoffensive and seems to lack personality?

I don't really hate anyone in MMA, but there are some fighters I don't care for.

 

Chuck Liddell - mostly for the same reasons as LOTC. The fanbase comment was pretty much spot-on. I was reading through some older posts, and someone actually asked if Chuck Liddell vs. Brock Lesnar would be a good fight.

 

Tim Sylvia - honestly, I don't have a good reason right now, except that I think he's boring.

 

Ken Shamrock - sucked as a coach on The Ultimate Fighter and came across as a douchebag. I can't remember the last time I was impressed by a Ken Shamrock fight. He might be one of the most overrated fighters in UFC history. If you were to judge Shamrock by his post-WWF run, you'd probably question his place in the UFC Hall of Fame.

Why is Rampage's dislike of training such an issue for you? You're making it sound like Rampage is lazy because he doesn't enjoy training. Do you think he doesn't train hard or something? Because you'd be wrong.

Cheick Kongo. The stupid fist pump he does 1000 times before every fight, thinking he deserves a title shot despite generally looking like shit every fight, his laughably bad ground game, Tim Sylvia may be gone but the spirit of boring tall guys stinking up the joint lives on with Kongo.

I'm sure Hard Hitting Drew McFedries is a dream fighter for the Liddell fans, but my favourite Hard Hitting Drew McFedries moment was when Hard Hitting Drew McFedries was put to sleep by Martin Kampmann.

Haha, yeah the KenFLo thing might have something to do with it. MMA guys have some pretty lame nicknames, like Scott the Alaskan Hammer Mcafee. Now there's a guy I hate. The guy he was fighting on WEC Wreckage the other night was about 5'4, so he said he had been sparring with 6th graders to prepare for the fight. Needless to say, Mcafee got choked the fuck out.

I'm in agreement with whoever said MMA fighters have some lame ass nicknames. Seems like everybody that walks to the cage (especially Americans) has to have one, regardless of how stupid it sounds. Ken Flo is one of those names that sounds decent enough by itself, but when used with his full name, Kenny "Ken Flo" Florian, just sounds ridiculous. Simple ones like "Rampage," "Iceman," and the "Natural" seem to work best.
