CanadianGuitarist Posted November 19, 2008 Author Report Posted November 19, 2008 Roger Myers. "I should be pleased that kids everywhere, bla bla bla bling bling bling bla." Though it was actually a line about his father, one of my favourite Simpsons lines ever is: "Roger Myers, the gentle genius behind Itchy and Scratchy, loved and cared about almost all the peoples of the world. He in turn was beloved, except in 1936, when he was criticised for his short film 'Nazi Superman Are Our Superiors'"
DrVenkman PhD Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 I had Roger Myers kicking around as an idea. I kept thinking of the line "Except for Flatulent Fox, that was based on a true story".
TheFranchise Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 It seems like my last two picks and my next one have turned my team into a Celeb Simpsons team.
Boner Kawanger Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 I love the courtroom rant where he lists off cartoon characters that have ripped off actual actors and includes Chief Wiggum, who is in the background.
Youth N Asia Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Arnie Pie Kent: An award ceremony erupted in kidnapping tonight as alleged "good guy" Homer Simpson absconded with several children in a stolen paddy-wagon. Now let's go to Arnie Pie in the Sky. Arnie: I can see them right below me. (removes his shoe): I'm going to try to nail the driver with one of my shoes. Kent: Arnie, please, leave this to the police. Arnie: I'm sick of being a reporter. I want to make the news! Kent: Arnie, this is not the time. Arnie: You're not the time, Kent! YOU'RE not the time!
BlackFlagg Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Oh you bastard, I thought I was gonna get him this round <shakes fist>
TheFranchise Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Britney Spears These aren't from the show, but i'll be damned if I can't quote Britney in real life right now. "The cool thing about being famous is traveling. I have always wanted to travel across seas, like to Canada and stuff." “You can't help but change a little bit, but on the inside I'm still completely the same person.” “There's no master plan! I'm just gonna be me and hope it all works out!”
Mecha Mummy Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Dammit dammit dammit I had my eye (in the sky) on Arnie Pye too. Not for this round, though, but the next. Great pick.
Youth N Asia Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 little bummed to see this draft on its way to ending
Maztinho Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 20 rounds! Adding rounds to the Wrestling Draft kinda took it to a place it shouldn't have gone. We don't want that again.
Boner Kawanger Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Kearney Junior! He is dealing with a tough divorce and he sleeps in a drawer!
TheFranchise Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 20 rounds! Adding rounds to the Wrestling Draft kinda took it to a place it shouldn't have gone. We don't want that again. 15?
Youth N Asia Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 I really think 10 rounds is the magic number with how many people we have doing this ... ... ... ...12 tops
Boner Kawanger Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 There are still a few characters that I'm surprised are still out there.
CanadianGuitarist Posted November 20, 2008 Author Report Posted November 20, 2008 I'm down for 12 if anyone wants to, but that's the absolute cap.
Mecha Mummy Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 I'm not really dying to do twelve but if the majority wants it I'm cool with it.
BlackFlagg Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Uter - "Don't make me run, I'm full of chocolate!"
Mecha Mummy Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 How the fuck did she last this long. Selma Bouvier Terwiliger Hutz McClure Simpson (... Stu?) "Single? Well, he passes the Selma test."
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 My next pick starred in all the Lethal Weapon movies and helped John Travolta move. Mel Gibson
Youth N Asia Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Mel was my next pick man screw this draft...10 rounds
Jaxxson Mayhem Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 I think 10 rounds is the best option. That way it stays great and doesn't deteriorate at the end.
6foot9 Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 How the fuck did she last this long. Selma Bouvier Terwiliger Hutz McClure Simpson (... Stu?) "Single? Well, he passes the Selma test." About fucking time.
Maztinho Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 How the fuck did she last this long. Selma Bouvier Terwiliger Hutz McClure Simpson (... Stu?) "Single? Well, he passes the Selma test." About fucking time. Was Selma your Tommy Dreamer 6foot9?
CanadianGuitarist Posted November 20, 2008 Author Report Posted November 20, 2008 Assuming CubanLinx misses his pick in 90 mins. or so, Scroby will go right back on the clock, and it'll be Hollywood Spike's pick, in an effort to jumpstart the round. Scroby will be cut some slack given his good attendance, along with the quick turnaround. I'll take the liberty of PM'ing HSJ at the appropriate time, but Scroby and CubanLinx both have two picks waiting for them.
Scroby Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Sorry I was at work, just got home on my lunch break and saw that I got the PM at 4 o'clock this morning. *Pacific time* For my first pick... Crazy Cat Woman *Throws a cat* for my next pick.. Baby Gerald better known for the baby with the unibrow
