Forcing people to accept a change in the definition of "marriage" isn't promoting "acceptance," in fact, it will do just the opposite. So not allowing gay marriage = hate law? Gotcha. I'm sure Ben Franklin, Washington and Jeffereson were thinking of gay marriage when writing the Constitution -- hell, with all those men in that one room, away from their wives, they were probably in the middle of an orgy while editing each amendment. You know, the funny thing about all this is that people like myself and Rant are some of the more tolerant people you will face on the opposite side of this issue. We don't care what two men/women do in the bedroom. We don't care who you leave your estate to. We don't care who you live with. It's just not marriage. Sorry to break it to you. Now if you think people like Rant and myself are hate mongerers (and frankly, I really don't care if you do), then the only way gay marriage will get passed in this country is to have some red diaper doper baby judge on the 9th Circut to make it legal. Oh man is that the truth. I went to the Pittsburgh Apple Store several times to get these computers. Boy did I feel like an outsider. I have used PC's at home but my college and workplaces have almost always used Macs, so I'm used to both platforms. I worked at this one place that published yearbooks, and there were people who wouldn't go NEAR a computer that was a Mac or vice versa. I didn't mind. I was a temp and that just meant more work for me to do. And here's something I've noticed: In movies/TV the people almost always use Macs, yet the vast majority of people in real life use PCs -- typical Hollywood left-wing revisionism. I even heard years ago that in "24" all the hereos use Macs and all the villians use PCs...

Or get in a car and not be able to read road signs. Of course, they steal it from you...

Not really, but through no fault of your own -- I view homosexuality the same way I view other "minorities." I just treat them like I do anyone else, which I think is my problem. And I find it funny that Loss lives in AK and Rant lives in Seattle, when I think it should be the other way around...

I second this. Another problem, which was mentioned earlier, is immigrants not wanting to assimilate into American culture. It's great if you want to keep many traditions and customs of your home country, but if you don't bother to learn English then you put yourself and others at risk. And back in the day, there was just as much hatred for immigrants coming from Europe...
