I always used to root for the Knicks and the Nets but I became a devoted Nets fan and threw away my Knicks loyalty the day they traded Ewing. ... Why? When you root for a sports team, you root for the uniform. Because Patrick Ewing was my favourite player and I loved him. I didn't feel right supporting the Knicks after that and forever hated them for doing it. I had rooted for the Nets my whole time- they just became my favourite and I became more passionate about them. I couldn't give two fucks about the Knicks after Ewing was let go. I didn't even watch a Knicks game until I went to MSG to see them retire his number

Who's Your Favorite WWE Wrestler?
bob_barron replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
Even though I rarely get to see him- Paul London is my favourite on the roster. Eddy is second on SD! On RAW- it's Chris Benoit with Chris Jericho second. If The Rock and Mick Foley were around more often then they would be very high on my list -
I always used to root for the Knicks and the Nets but I became a devoted Nets fan and threw away my Knicks loyalty the day they traded Ewing. I don't consider that bandwagon jumping since the Nets didn't start being a good team till 2001 and Ewing was traded in 2000.

SNL Review It’s nice to have an episode review up on time. The first part of my review is my hockey playoff preview so for those of you who don’t care about that sort of thing, be sure to scroll down. 2004 Hockey Playoff Preview- Last year, because of the Western Conference not being settled by the time I wrote my review I was only able to predict the Eastern Conference. I ended up getting three of the series right and even called the number of games in two of them. Let’s see how well I do this year: Eastern Conference- Tampa Bay Lightning (46-22-8-6, 106 pts) v. New York Islanders (38-29-11-4, 91 pts) Tampa Bay shocked the hell out of everyone, especially me, by finishing at the top of the conference. The Islanders are in the same spot they were last year. Tampa Bay will be led by Hart trophy contender Martin St. Louis who will be a major force to contend with. They also have Cory Stillman, Brad Richards and Vincent Lecavlier on their explosive offence which finished third in the league in goals scored. Daryl Sydor should be a big help on defence. They have two good goaltenders in Nicholas Khabibulin and John Grahame. The Isles don’t bring much to the table. Alexi Yashin always seems to slump in the playoffs and Rick DePietro is very young and lacks playoff experience to truly be a major player. Nassau Coliseum is a bitch to play in and that’s the thing I really could see affecting the Lightning. This should be an easy time for time. Lightning in 5 Boston Bruins (41-19-15-7, 104 pts) v. Montreal Canadiens (41-30-7-4, 93 pts) Joe Thorton’s injury could be the deal breaker here. Thorton was the heart and soul of the Bruins offence and the Bruins need him to put some points on the board. Samsonov and Murray can’t do all the work. Andrew Raycroft had an amazing year and blew everyone away and helped get the Bruins the Northeastern trophy. His lack of playoff experience, like DiPetro’s, has to be called into question. Montreal is another team that lives and dies by its goalie, Jose Theodore. Montreal had the worst offence among Eastern Conference teams that made the playoffs and had to rely on Theodore’s 2.29 GAA and 92% save percentage. As much as I would like to see Montreal advance, I’m going to have to assume that Thorton is healthy and that he’ll be the difference in leading the Bruins to victory. Theodore and his toque will only be able to provide so much. Bruins in 6 Philadelphia Flyers (40-21-15-6, 101 pts) v. New Jersey Devils (43-25-12-2, 100 pts) I can’t believe that this is a first round series and it should be a real good one. Philadelphia has its big names on offence like Mark Recchi, John LeClair, Tony Amonte and the recently returned Jeremy Roenick. They also have really good defence with Eric Desjardins and Kim Johnson. What’s truly holding them back is the lack of an elite goaltender. Robert Esche will be between the pipes in Philly but he has never started a playoff game and ended the season by only winning once in his final six games. The Devils counter with three time Stanley Cup winner Martin Brodeur who seems to always be the saviour for the Devils. The Devils also benefit from having Brian Rafalski and Scott Stevens return for the playoffs. Scott Gomez has been on fire as well. Philadelphia has too many question marks and always seems to falter in the playoffs. The Devils should be able to take this one. Devils in 6 Toronto Maple Leafs (45-24-10-3, 103 pts) v. Ottawa Senators (43-23-10-6, 102 pts) I can’t WAIT for this one. These guys played 6 times in the regular season and each game was memorable. There was the Senators embarrassing the Leafs on their own ice with a 7-1 assault that featured Daniel Alfredsson once again earning the ire of Leaf fans by mocking the suspended Mats Sundin. There was the intense penalty filled game that saw Tie Domi earn 29 penalty minutes in a 5-1 Leafs victory. There was the game that saw the Leafs rally from a 4-0 deficit and beat a flu stricken Senators team 5-4 in overtime. There was the tense and nervewracking 2-2 tie that left fans wanting more despite their heart attack. On Saturday the Leafs embarrassed the Sens with a 6-0 rout that gave them home ice advantage. It didn’t seem like the Senators bothered to show up. Both teams are evenly matched in offence and defence. The Leafs are led by their top line of Mats Sundin, Alexander Mogilny and Gary Roberts. In only 12 games with the Leafs recently acquired forward Ron Francis has 10 pts and a +3 rating. The Leafs defence had been suspect all year with a top-line of Bryan McCabe and Tomas Kaberle but not much depth. They sought to change that by acquiring future Hall of Famer Brian Leetch and luring Calle Johannsen out of retirement. Leetch has been nothing short of spectacular since leaving NY. He’s averaging a point per game and has a +11 rating. Toronto is led in goal by Eddie Belfour. Despite battling back problems, Eddie had 34 wins and a 2.13 GAA with ten shutouts. Eddie is the backbone of this Leafs team and they need him to be healthy if they have any hope for a Cup. It looks like Eddie is fine now and he should be nothing short of spectacular in attempting to help the Leafs end their drought. Ottawa is led by Marian Hossa, Daniel Afredsson and Martin Havlat on offence with Radek Bonk and Jason Spezza also contributing. Their imposing defence features All Star Wade Redden and 6’9 Zdeno Chara with Chris Phillips also contributing. Around the trading deadline Ottawa also made moves to improve its roster. It acquired defencemen Greg DeVries from the Rangers and got goal scorer Petr Bondra from the Capitals. This gives them tremendous depth on both sides of the equation. Ottawa’s goaltending is a tad suspect though. Patrick Lalime will be starting in goal and he struggled to a 25-23 record. Lalime got hurt on the 27th but Ottawa trusts that he will be healthy and lead them to playoffs. Ottawa also has Martin Prusek in backup. In 26 started games he had a 16-6-3 record and a 2.12 GAA. Ottawa elected to go with the playoff experienced Lalime but Ottawa knows they have more then capable backup in case anything goes wrong. With both teams evenly matches this should be a hell of a series. Both teams HATE each other and Saturday’s game did nothing to stem the bad blood. The fact that the Leafs have beaten the Sens every time they’ve faced off in the playoffs has to hurt and you know the Sens will do everything to try to win this series. Ultimately I think Eddie Belfour’s superior goaltending will be the big difference and the Leafs will make it 4-0 against Ottawa. Leafs in 7 Western Conference Detroit Red Wings (48-21-11-2, 109 pts) v. Nashville Predators (38-29-11-4, 91 pts) Does anyone think Nashville has a chance here? I know people thought the same about Anaheim but I don’t think Tomas Vokoun is the next Jean Sebastien Giguere. Detroit is just loaded with talent from top to bottom and whether it’s Legace or Cujo in goal- they should have no trouble dispatching of the Predators. Red Wings in 4 San Jose Sharks (43-21-12-6, 104 pts) v. St. Louis Blues (39-30-11-2, 91 pts) Last year the Sharks were supposed to have this amazing year where they contended for the Cup. Apparently they decided to wait until this year to have it. The Blues had an uncharacteristically off year for them as they fired Joel Quenville and came close to missing the playoffs for the first time since the 70s. Sharks goaltender Evgeni Nabokov bounced back from his horrible 2002-03 campaign and had a 2.21 GAA and 92% save percentage. I’m picking this to be my upset special. The Blues are loaded with great talent like Tkachuck, Demitra, Weight and perennial Norris trophy candidate Chris Pronger. While Chris Osgood has never impressed me I just have a feeling that St. Louis is going to take this one. You gotta have one upset every year and this is mine. Blues in 7 Vancouver Canucks (43-24-10-5 101 pts) v. Calgary Flames (42-30-7-3, 94 pts) This series scares me. The Flames are in the playoffs for the first time since 1996, have Jarome Iginla and have who many people in the media are calling the next Giguere in Miikka Kiprusoff. In 39 games Kiprusoff had a 1.70 GAA and .933 save percentage. The Canucks counter with a big line that’s missing Todd Bertuzzi and the unreliable Dan Cloutier. But don’t count the Canucks out. This is a team that after losing Bertuzzi went 7-3-2-1 and shocked everyone by winning the Northwest division title. They have Markus Naslund, Brendan Morrison and the Sedin twins leading them on offence with Trevor Linden proving veteran leadership as the heart and soul of the team. Brent Sopel had a breakout year and the Canucks now have a healthy Ed Jovanovski back which means their defence is looking good. Dan Cloutier worries me a great deal and I hope to God he doesn’t choke like he did last year but I have faith in the Canucks. As long as Kiprusoff doesn’t pull a Giguere they should be fine and I think they can handle the Flames. Canucks in 6 Colorado Avalance (40-22-13-7, 100 pts) v. Dallas Stars (41-26-13-2, 97 pts) The Avalance have their explosive offence with Joe Sakic, Alex Tanguay, Petr Forsberg and Teemu Selanne. Tanguay is still injured and it looks like the Avs will have to do without Paul Kariya who also recently got hurt. Rob Blake, their top defencemen, has also been slowed by injuries. David Aeibischer had a great season in replacing Patrick Roy but as I’ve said when talking about his other goalies- his lack of playoff experience is a big issue. The Avalanche are also backing into the playoffs having only won twice in their last ten games. This slump cost them the divisional title which was a first since 1995. Dallas has great marquee players of their own like Bill Guerin, Mike Modano and Sergei Zubov. The always sensational Marty Turco is the reason Dallas will win this series. Turco had another season with a sub 2.00 GAA and posted 9 shutouts. Last year the only reason the Stars didn’t make it to the conference finals was because he lost a war of attrition with Giguere which was no fault of his own. The Avs may have a star studded lineup, but they are in a major slump, are injury prone and have a rookie goalie. I see Dallas taking this one. Stars in 6 Nets- After initially panicking realizing they had to deal without Kenyon Martin AND Jason Kidd- the Nets have pulled it together and have managed to clinch the Atlantic Division title for the third year in a row. Go Nets Go. Mailbag!!!!- Nothing this week but that’s probably because of my review being so late last week. Wanna be in the mailbag???? Email me at [email protected] And now the review….. Cold Opening Cast- Carolyn Kepcher, George something, Lorne Michaels, Donald Trump, Amy Poehler, Jimmy Fallon, Finesse Mitchell Thoughts- Well everyone knew they were going to spoof the Apprentice so I’m glad they got it out of the way as early as possible. This was really funny and it was good to see Finesse get some time to shine and be funny since I think he has been greatly overshadowed by Kenan this year. And it’s always good to see Lorne making a cameo. Donald and his staff were fine here and I liked the burn zing on Jimmy. At least they acknowledge that he cracks up a fair amount. This went on way too long and it just seemed to run out of energy midway through. When the Canucks v. Oilers is on CBC- that’s not a good thing. Why did Carolyn get to say LFNYISN? I appreciate her enthusiasm and all but come on- let the Trumpster say it! This was good but should’ve been trimmed by a few minutes. ***1/4 Monologue Cast- Trump, Darrell Hammond, Jimmy Fallon Thoughts- I can tolerate Donald’s self ego stroking on the Apprentice since it’s usually pretty short, is very funny and it has a point. It’s to remind the contestants how huge he is and that if they win- they get to work for this huge guy. But in a Saturday Night Live monologue you’re supposed to get right to the point and be funny. I also know that the Apprentice is not the number one show on TV. Except in certain demographics, it’s not even the #1 show in its timeslot as CSI outperforms it. Jimmy’s Jeff Zucker and Darrell’s Donald were both good impressions and helped save the monologue. I thought the listing of shows came across as pretty flat but Jimmy’s impression helped save it. This would’ve been so much better had it been less Donald ego stroking and more Darrell and Jimmy impressions. **1/2 Fear Factor Junior Cast- Fred Armisen Thoughts- One thing that bothers me about Fear Factor is that the contestants really don’t earn that much money compared to other TV shows. $50,000 is pretty weak especially considering that you gotta eat bugs and jump off high places. It was nice seeing another new commercial parody. The stuff with the kids was alright and I thought Fred Armisen was really funny as Joe Rogan. This makes him the second NewsRadio castmember to ever be impersonated on SNL. **3/4 Live with Regis and Kelly Cast- Trump, Hammond, Poehler, Rachel Dratch Thoughts- Once again: Donald Trump stroking his ego on the Apprentice while messing with Nick and Amy? Funny. Donald Trump stroking his ego during SNL skits? Not funny. I also really don’t understand what happened that made Darrell laugh. The skit wasn’t funny at all, I didn’t see any props falling and while Amy was constantly abusing him, that happens in every skit. Gelman works better when it’s Chris Kattan playing it since they both share a similar character trait (straight guys who a lot of people think are gay). This is the peril of having a non-actor host. Usually you can just have an actor impersonate someone and it’s funny but because Donald Trump lacks the ability to play anyone but himself it just becomes a caricature of his real life persona. That would be fine if we DIDN’T JUST SEE IT IN TWO OTHER SKITS! This was a really bad Regis and Kelly but I blame this more on the material they working with and Darrell acting like a jackass. *1/2 Star Jones meets the Donald Cast- Trump, Kenan Thompson Thoughts- If years of comedy has taught me anything: Mocking Star Jones is ALWAYS funny. Even Jimmy Kimmel Live can mock Star Jones and it somehow ends up being funny. It was also good to see Kenan get some airtime as unfortunately this ended up being the only time he was really featured. This was pretty funny and was short enough so that it didn’t overstay its welcome and left me wanting more. *** Trump’s House of Wings Cast- Trump, Poehler, Seth Meyers, Maya Rudolph, Horatio Sanz, Thompson Thoughts- Tina: Lorne- we have a problem. Lorne: What is it Tina? Tina: Donald is terrible at acting. All we can really write for him are skits where he plays himself. And we’ve written enough of those. Lorne: Hmmmm- I got it! Let’s write a skit where Donald Trump owns a funny restaurant! It’ll be brilliant. Tina: But we did that with Al Sharpton and Derek Jeter. Lorne: Even better. At the end we’ll reference the two previous skits we did and people will think we’re hip and clever for being able to make fun of ourselves. It’ll be fantastic. Now I thought this was not as funny as Al Sharpton’s fish hole or Derek Jeter’s Taco hole. I laughed at the cast members singing and Horatio as David Crosby at the end. But the rest of the skit was the same thing we’ve seen twice before and the joke is kind of dead. ** Toots and the Maytals Thoughts- I’ll be honest here. Canucks v. Oilers was on CBC and that game was much more important then watching Toots and the Mayhals. To make sure this review retains its integrity I did watch most of their performance and it was alright. I wonder how many musical guests turned them down that they had to go with this guys. That’s not knocking their ability- just knocking their lack of notoriety. **1/2 Weekend Update Cast- Tina Fey, Fallon, Rudolph Thoughts- So many things to talk about, so little time. Let’s break it down: Trumpdate: Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh yea. Tina looked so unbelievably hot in that outfit that I think she should wear that outfit every week on Weekend Update. I mean damn. Not just damn- but a Lane damn. (Only one person will get that) That’s the best way to promote Mean Girls that I can think of. Well have Lindsay Lohan wear that outfit too. I don’t think she’s hot or anything but she has a gorgeous rack. And that little peek-a-boo at the end well just confirms how much I love Tina and how privileged I feel to have hugged her on three separate occasions. Before you groan in all fairness I haven’t bragged about my hugs in a long time. So Tina showing T&A is always a good thing. Moving on so I don’t like a complete pervert… Maya Rudolph as Omarosa: This was terrible and probably the worst thing I’ve ever seen on a FallonFey Update not involving Horatio Sanz. I think there should be some law that bans crappy castmembers from sitting at the Update desk. But you know what? It wasn’t even Maya’s fault that that turned out to be so terrible. While her impression wasn’t anything to write home about it’s not her fault (unless she wrote it) that we were witnessed to things falling on her while I sat home wondering whether I should change it to the hockey game. I don’t get what they were going for. A straight up Omarosa commentary featuring interplay with Tina (Especially milking the n word and pot-kettle-black fiasco) would’ve been a lot better and a lot less draggy. This was like watching a trainwreck. I kept waiting for something funny to happen but I just stared at my screen in amazement while having flashbacks to Horatio Sanz’s Jimmy Buffet impression. This was terrible and completely killed any goodness that Weekend Update was trying to achieve. Making it even worse I found out that… Seth Meyers was cut as Boston Red Sox Commentator: Is SNL just TRYING to piss me off? Seth Meyers has been on Weekend Update a grand total of 0 times this season. Before that Seth Meyers had been on Weekend Update 7 times. Seth Meyers has been hilarious on Weekend Update 7 times. I don’t understand why the hell you would cut Seth from WU and leave in a terribly unfunny bit that went on forever. Maya Rudolph getting things dropped on her head? Not funny. Seth Meyers talking about the Boston Red Sox? Hilarious It just pisses me off seeing awful commentaries week after week that continually drag down the quality of Updates after Tina and Jimmy work so hard writing quality jokes. All this while Seth Meyers, the guy who is the BEST on Weekend Update keeps having his pieces cut week after week. To quote Tina Fey “It’s redunkoulus.” Weekend Update commentaries shouldn’t need stupid dated gimmicks to attempt to be funny. Omarosa had the head incident like 2 months ago. Why not mock Trey- you can milk LOTS of material from that. Or of course the best idea: YOU ALREADY MILKED THE APPRENTICE IN TWO OTHER SKITS SO WHY NOT LET SETH MEYERS SHINE ON WEEKEND UPDATE YOU FUCKING MORONS. This was the worst Weekend Update ever of the Fallon Fey era (and I’ve seen Josh Hartnett) and the fact that it had the chance to be so much better just pisses me off that much more. When the highlight is a boob- you know you got problems. **1/2 The Prince and the Pauper Cast- Trump, Hammond, Poehler, Armisen Thoughts- It should be noted in the skit where Donald Trump finally stopped playing himself, he ended up playing himself in the end. That’s just…sad. When Jeff Gordon has more of an acting range then you- then you have problems. I actually liked this as I enjoyed Darrell’s Donald and it was nice to finally see Donald make fun of himself and stop feeding his own ego. I also thought the ending was brilliant. *** Fathers and Sons Cast- Trump, Meyers, Sanz, Fallon Thoughts- I must applaud Donald Trump for being able to play someone not himself and not have the skit end up where he plays himself. He hasn’t shown this much range since his cameo in Home Alone 2. Now that was awesome. I could go off on Horatio and Jimmy for their time honoured tradition of ‘Ruining skit because of laughter’ but it really wasn’t their fault. Having them go out there, fake cry and be all lovey dovey to each other is just asking for trouble. It’s obvious that Lorne really doesn’t care. As much fun as it was to watch Seth try not to crack up, it really killed the momentum the skit was trying to build and I believe this skit had the chance to be very funny. So as much I didn’t like it- it’s pointless to go off on Horatio and Jimmy again. Lorne should’ve known what was going to happen and it’s disheartening that he doesn’t care about cracking up. I really enjoyed Donald and Seth’s interplay here and I wish they could’ve worked with each other more. I don’t know if the skit would’ve been better without Horatio and Jimmy’s presence but I was really enjoying this until the usual unprofessional nonsense. **1/4 9.11 Attacks Cast- Hammond, Dratch, Parnell, Armisen Thoughts- Good to see Darrell trying out a new impression and I liked his Richard Clarke. It was pretty good. The skit was slow to build and seemed to drag at times but overall I found it to be genuinely funny. I loved the bit at the end where Darrell mentioned Game 7 between the Yankees and Red Sox and the whole Pedro Martinez thing. That was great and was truly the highlight of the show (well aside from Tina). *** Toots and the Maytals Thoughts- Well by this time the Vancouver Canucks had won the game (Northeastern champions bay-bee!) so I actually got to watch the whole thing. This was a lot of fun and did not violate any of my rules for singing on SNL. In fact one of the things I constantly harp on is to play a really fun upbeat song so I don’t nod off- and this song was fun and upbeat. I enjoyed these guys- they were a lot of fun and I wouldn’t mind seeing them on again. *** The People on the Apprentice…sing Cast- Trump, Poehler, Rudolph, Dratch, Armisen Thoughts- I have no idea what the hell this was or what they were trying to do. It seemed like they were going for my Tom Green rating- but in order to achieve that you have to be funny. This just seemed to go on forever and never achieved whatever point it was trying to make. Maybe it’s just me but Donald Trump singing…not funny. Plus I really don’t think we needed our second Apprentice spoof in one night but I guess that’s what happens when you get Donald Trump to host. Terrible skit. DUD The Bottom Line- Avg. skit was **.2 making this a thumbs down show. Remember how in the past 5 episodes I kept talking about everything SNL did right? Well it seemed liked they completely reversed course here. Where was Will Forte first of all? Why was Seth Meyers only given a prominent role in one skit? Why give Kenan the shaft? Why did Darrell get so many roles? Why put Jimmy and Horatio in a skit together when you know it’s going to lead to trouble? Much of the quality is this episode is to be blamed on Donald Trump. The guy seemed to lack the ability to play anyone but himself which got old fast. The writers had no idea how to write for him and it showed. I wish SNL would stop getting these non-acting hosts since the episodes (with some exceptions) tend to completely suck. I’m not hopeful for this weeks show but if SNL can go back to doing the things that gave us the string of great shows in the first place- hopefully they will surprise me. Thumbs Down

WWE Notes: Orton, SD! Rating, Mexico Show, More
bob_barron replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
He didn't post the whole card- only the matches they changed. The show also has Rey Rey v. Chavo and HHH v. Benoit -
Definetley bring him in. DDP's a big name and I think he can work a TNA main event style match (ie brawling in the crowds) easily. He also has a lot of charisma and a feud with Jarrett would sell. DDP also never seems to have a problem with putting people over so I think they should definetley give him a chance.

Gabe Sapolsky Heading To Nashville To Meet With TN
bob_barron replied to BoboBrazil's topic in TNA Wrestling
Any company can pretty much form a Board of Directors and that's what RF did. I think the documents showed that Rob wasn't even the majority owner of ROH- but it was some invester (who you reffered to) They did everything required by them by law to transfer ownership and they were able to prove to the Rex Plex and the wrestlers themselves that Rob was adios. TNA also seems to be satisfied. Good enough for me. Because that'd be stupid. Changing the name would just be a waste of money and wouldn't change anything. They might as well show that they are moving on without Rob and trying to make everything back to normal. I haven't heard anything about that. All I've heard is that they've done everything they're legally supposed to do to prove that Rob is gone and that's good enough for me. If ROH still keeps putting on great shows I'll watch them. This is where you don't know what you're talking about. I don't care that I plugged RFVideo in the past and I have no problems doing it now. Everything I've read or heard points to Rob being gone and that's good enough for me. You can call me a mindless sheep all you want but I've always criticised ROH if I don't agree with them- free tapes or not. That's good to hear. I think TNA didn't expect the huge backlash they were going to get and really had no choice but to back down. Hopefully this ends the stupid fighting between both companies. -
Mr. No Spin? HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA All Bill O'Reilly does is spin. Do you even watch his show? I don't know how anyone can take Fox News seriously. It's just horrible conservative drivel. Saying that Bill O'Reilly doesn't spin is like saying that George Bush is a good president. Anyone who supports Israel is obviously a racist who hates Muslims. I wish Israel had oil just so Bush would bomb the shit out of it like he did to poor defenceless Iraq. I wish I lived in France
-
Despicable. None of this would've happened had Al Gore not stolen the election
-
You act like that's a challenge. Bowling for Columbine is one of the most important, influential and impactful films in American cinematic history. kkk and I have had many a discussion on the greatness of this important and excellent film. I heard that when George Bush watched it he went: So wait- guns are bad? LOL BUSH IS STUPID
-
The SAME h4u that posts endless patriotic, jingoistic drivel about Bush trying to bring freedom to the world. The same h4u that has the GAUL to defend Israel's Nazi like actions against the defenseless, poor, opressed Palestinian people, and not question their zionist-terrorist actions!? The SAME h4u that STILL maintains there are weapons of mass destruction (lol)! ....COME ON! It's really sad that these poor defenceless Palenstians just sit there and watch as Israelis go up to them, shoot them in the head and then take their land. Who knew that Hitler and the Israelis had something in common? Bush goes and attacks Iraq but gives all this money to Israel? Defend that one Tyler.
-
The only thing I find weirder is the fact that George W. Bush was allowed to STEAL the election from Al Gore. Al Gore won the popular vote. Don't you idiots realise that????? It's a shame seeing someone like hunger4unger get ripped apart every time he posts. Next to kkk, he is one of the smartest people on this board and I agree with everything he says.
-
You don't know that George W. Bush is the dumbest president of all time and a man whose evil is on the level of Adolf Hiltler? I can't believe people actually defended the US' decision to attack Iraq. George Bush is much more evil then Saddam Hussein. Under Saddam the Iraquis did not have to deal with bombs and all the destruction that is going on there. George W. Bush is just an oil mongering cocaine addicted fucktard who only cares about how much money he can make for his friend Dick Cheney. If there is any justice in this world then he will be tried, convicted and executed for his War Crimes.
-
KKK- What are your thoughts on the testimony of Richard Clarke? I am shocked that the Bush administration knew that 9.11 was going to happen and just sat there. Bush probably said: Who cares- where is my cocaine? LOL.
-
Can somebody please answer my question? I'd like to know if John Kerry served in Vietnam. kkk- you seem very knowledgeable. Do you know?
-
I heard that John Kerry served in Vietnam. That's an April Fools Day joke right?
-
PWInsider said they wouldn't be doing any April Fools stories- so it sounds true. Why does WWE have to put out so many DVDs? I gotta eat too!

From PWInsider- LOTS OF WWE DVD NEWS INCLUDING ECW, HALL OF FAME AND (AT LONG LAST) BRET HART by Mike Johnson @ 12:04:00 PM on 4/1/2004 The Rise and Fall of ECW DVD that World Wrestling Entertainment is currently producing has been pushed back to a November release. The delay is being made to push up the release of the WWE double-disc Hall of Fame DVD set to a 6/1 release. The Hall of Fame DVD set will feature the complete 3/13 2004 Hall of Fame induction ceremonies from Wrestlemania XX weekend in New York City, as well as classic match footage, video features, and comments from current WWE stars on the legends. Inducted into the Hall of Fame that weekend were Jesse Ventura, The Junkyard Dog, Bobby Heenan, Big John Studd, Harley Race, Superstar Graham, Don Muraco, Sgt. Slaughter, Pete Rose, Greg Valentine, and Tito Santana. WWE is currently in production on "The Bret Hart Collection", which I suspect will be similar to the "Ultimate Ric Flair Collection" that was released last year and turned out to be the best selling WWE DVD release to date. A Bret Hart DVD has been discussed seemingly forever as the one DVD WWE fans would want, and now they will get their wish. There is no set release for the disc, but they may try to rush it out for a November release to catch the Christmas season. Also currently in production is a double disc Eddie Guerrero set (due 9/28) and a November Rob Van Dam DVD. There will be a Chris Benoit DVD released in July. Remember you can find all your wrestling DVD needs right here at the PWInsider.com Online Store.

bob_barron replied to BoboBrazil's topic in TNA Wrestling
But no one has said that yet have they? ROH has done everything required of them to prove that RF is gone. They couldn't run the 3.13 show if RF was still there. Every wrestler vowed to quit if RF was still there. Would you like them to publically hang Rob at their St. Paul show and then hire a coroner to prove that yes- they really did hang Rob. I don't see what you're talking about. ROH has done everything to transfer ownership from Rob to Doug. ROB IS GONE. So I still don't get what point you're trying to make? No one here is defending or supporting Rob. But there are people who are supporting and defending ROH. -

I believe that ROH had to prove that Rob was 100% gone and no longer making $ in order to run their 3.13 show. Which they did. Plus the fact that every wrestler on the roster pretty much wants Rob dead and wanted to make sure he was gone also makes me sure they got rid of Rob. -

We should all be banned. I'm just sick of seeing BBCW attempt to diss ROH and its fans despite having no clue what he's talking about. At least with you bps- You've watched the product and know what you're talking about even if we disagree. -

Very in-depth article by Mike Johnson from pwinsider- ROH AND NWA TNA OFFICIALS MEET IN NASHVILLE; A IN-DEPTH LOOK AT THE CURRENT SITUATION by Mike Johnson @ 1:45:00 PM on 3/31/2004 Ring of Honor booker Gabe Sapolsky is in Nashville, TN and will be sitting down with NWA: TNA's Jeff Jarrett over TNA's decision to ask contracted workers to no longer appear on Ring of Honor events. As covered heavily here on PWInsider.com last week when we exclusively broke the story, NWA: TNA officials have approached a number of their regulars, including Chris Sabin, Christopher Daniels, and AJ Styles over the situation. Many have wondered why TNA would cut their talent off from working additional dates when they are only booking the workers three dates a month currently. According to an initial source, TNA decided to ask workers to "distance themselves" from ROH (as was stated to AJ Styles two weeks ago) after being questioned about a relationship between the two promotions by those in the television industry during conversations. The feeling was that if TNA allowed their contracted workers to appear on ROH events, they were endorsing the company by those appearances, as it gave the appearance that the companies were affiliated. At that point, it was believed that TNA's television negotiations may have been the primary factor in the decision. However, as Jess McGrath reported in the Elite Newsletter here on PWInsider.com over the weekend, additional TNA sources were pointing towards the Rob Feinstein situation as well as a reason for TNA wanting to pull talent as TNA did not want to be associated with any fallout from that scandal. The reaction to TNA's decision was negative across the board from both wrestler and fan standpoints. Sources close to the situation have said that Daniels and Styles both disagreed with the decision and were vouching for Ring of Honor during a meeting with TNA last week. The feeling among many of the wrestlers was that TNA was asking them to give up paydays (that in some cases were better than the ones TNA provides) without booking them for more dates and/or more money. Plus, there is a distinct amount of pride among those who work for Ring of Honor as the fan base and the amount of time they get to work inside the ring gives them a more fulfilling experience than working for other independent promotions. At the same time, ROH's Internet fan base began rallying around the promotion and began emailing not only NWA TNA but Fox Sports as well. I have heard stories of the same fans preparing lists of FOX Sports advertisers to approach if needed. The campaign was short but it worked as the emails, especially the ones directed to FOX, spooked TNA officials. In recent weeks, TNA has been hard at work trying to secure a slot with the FOX Sports Network, to the point that a number of prospective taping sites have been brought up internally, including Las Vegas, Orlando, and Atlantic City. The FOX negotiations are a prime reason for the "new direction" seen by NWA: TNA in recent weeks, as workers have been instructed to maintain a clean image during the negotiations. There was a feeling that the emails could cripple the company's chances at the deal. In an attempt to calm the situation, NWA TNA's Bob Ryder reached out to Ring of Honor last Friday afternoon. During conversations with Ryder and Jarrett, ROH's Gabe Sapolsky made arrangements to travel to Nashville to continue discussions. Once the decision was made to open communications, ROH's Sapolsky released the following statement to PWInsider.com: "Everyone at Ring Of Honor cannot express how much we appreciate the support of our fanbase. I just want everyone to know that that TNA is working very closely with us to resolve things. Right now, I would like to ask our fans to stop emailing TNA and any other places you are emailing. While we are honored that our fans care enough to voice their concern, I assure you that right now the best way to handle this situation is for ROH and TNA to resolve it together, which we are working on. Thank you and again your support and the fact that ROH fans, who we consider our family, cared enough to send these emails means so much to us." In his own attempt to calm fans that emailed TNA about the situation, Ryder wrote in response, "Thanks for your email. We are working with current Ring of Honor management to try to resolve things, and we are all hopeful things will work out favorably for everyone involved. TNA has been supportive of Ring of Honor in the past, and we hope we can continue that support in the future." In many ways, NWA: TNA is in a very precarious situation. They are asking workers to give up dates with Ring of Honor because they felt having their performers involved with ROH could hurt their relationships with television entities. However, that decision only served to cause a rabid hardcore fan base to loudly speak out and in turn, cause TNA to fear for whatever negotiations they currently are involved in. Should the situation not be resolved amicably, TNA may have to deal with a very angry group of fans who live and breath to watch and discuss wrestling amongst themselves on the Internet. During a period where the future of NWA: TNA could well be decided by television executives, those fans could be a very loud distraction during negotiations. At the same time, ROH stands to lose a great deal as well. Should the TNA workers be yanked immediately without even having a chance to say goodbye to their fans (something even WCW allowed those they signed from ECW to do), it would put huge holes in the meticulously booked Ring of Honor storylines. It would leave The Prophecy without their leader, Christopher Daniels during a headline feud against The Second City Saints. It would leave the promotion without their Pure Wrestling champion, AJ Styles, while Styles is in the midst of storylines with CM Punk and Samoa Joe. While the fan base would likely continue to support ROH without fail, it would cause the promotion to have to change existing lineups and storylines when one of ROH's strengths has always been its long term planning. At the same time, the promotion would also have to work harder to build new stars to replace those who have been with the company from the company's earliest days. The meeting today in Nashville between the two promotions could go a long way in determining the short and long term futures of the companies involved. We'll have details on further developments on the story as they become available.
